I'm going on Nero's ship. I predict much potential for the testing of new weapons.

I might if I can establish the form of government we use in the colony (that is to say feudalism where tech is controlled by us and only us). If I can't I'm going with Nero.

At any rate this is a game. Don't go for who you think is the best leader, go for who you think will make the most interesting leader. Vote for who you think will make the best stories so to speak.

Mather, in game terms the captain's first duty is to the ship (and to a lesser degree the safeguarding of humanity) not to the happiness of the crew members or things such as that. Dusty is rather intelligent, very ruthless (at least if it is in character) and most of all he doesn't give himself titles like "saint" or such. Furthermore, dusty does generally not care what the crew does unless it affects the ship and his other responsibilities.

He is also a known variable and will generally role play his character well. I would rather have the devil I know than resistance who seems to be unclear on what constitutes an ally.
  6. System is percentile based with little to no classes (it requires the book [which I have bought or someone copy and pasting a massive number of charts) and using experience to buy things. Also I thought you were not going to play anyways because "You are better than us" and "shouldn't waste your time on the internet but work to improve your life".
  7. You're going to need to spend 4500 experience and choose some psychic powers to boot.
  8. Welcome, you may be questioning why you are here; it is a rather simple matter to be perfectly honest, you are one of the best and brightest in this ship. You alone are tasked to lead the men women and children on the [Redacted] for Emperor, gelt and Imperium. It is your duty, nay your privilege to explore strange new worlds (to dominate, bring under the control of the God-Emperor and abuse for resources and profit), seek out new life (to exterminate) and new civilisations (to steal new technology from)… to boldly go where no man has gone before (primarily because if they do they’ll have their heads bitten off). Under an ancient Warrant of Trade you and your crew will be able to fly beyond the boundaries of the Imperium and explore the vastness of the galaxy, trade, deal and dominate other worlds, alien or no, and create profit for your starship. Under the same warrant and outside the bounds of the Imperium you are given freedom enjoyed only by the greatest Inquisitorial lords as to how you deal with xenos. Sessions will be done over maptools. 9. I'd like to do a trial run on rogue trader in around three hours. I'm going to make a thread for it soon.
  10. Alter the raws and train them. MAKE WAR BADGERS.
  11. And what about forgotten beasts that don't eat? Not to mention all the goblinite you're wasting... Oh, and the fort I'm playing right now has 36 dwarves at 8 FPS. Maybe it was giving dwarves [sPEED: 0] that did it. I have a network of pressure plates and unskilled immigrant/nobility quarters to deal with things that don't eat. If that fails I have redundancies and unless the forgotten beasts can go through walls I should be fine (By redundancies I mean bridges in the upper levels and ballistae corridors in the lower ones [and yes I am using a couple of Z levels of space to make this defensive measure). EDIT: Oh and this all wraps around a temple (read aztec style step pyramid) to ARMOK GOD OF BLOOD in which the goblins and other nasties captured by the cage traps (I have quarters to supply those who resupply the traps) are sacrificed to appease the wrath of ARMOK GOD OF BLOOD.
  12. I think I've done it! I think I have finally created a fortress that is impervious to attack from above! I mean sure it takes traders a couple of seasons to get through the maze of walls that I am using to protect my fort but the last goblin siege STARVED before ever technically getting into my fort.

I propose that either Dusty or some other neutral individual be captain, for what it's worth I have a rank in piloting as well as the capability to create a 5th level ship weapon (that is useful for orbital bombardment (at least on microcosm)). If we cannot agree on who's captain I propose we set up a counsel of three crewmembers who will act as the governing body (and hopefully not able to agree in the least bit), composed of the oldest tavern members who can actually play the game.

There's a term for people like you. It's called expendable. Jokes XD But armor is more important than the weapon, unless you know you're going to be something like a scout or a sniper. But as you're making a weapon collection, you'll probably be on the field a lot. I don't intend to be using armor too much. However I do intend to have multiple discretely placed shield and cloaking field generators. I will also require a hat along the vein of the this: [hide][/hide] I may be killed but I will look classy while doing it!
  15. But the important thing to remember is that you can make a blood powered cannon. A BLOOD POWERED CANNON. (that and it is an extraordinary time waster)
  16. Session can start in an hour if people are interested.

Calculus is Easy, Arithmetic is Damn Hard, okay?!? Nix Agility and take 2 out of the weaponry ones and 1 out of Stealth. And if Nex tries that, I will shoot him. Also, I'm more surprised you didn't point out that I'm playing as SAURON. I'm playing a frenchman who has a surname meaning "of the trashcan", I don't think you're too out of place. On a similar note if nex tries that I will... test things on him. Things as in exactly what happens when I fire someone out with the nova cannon shell.

Look behind me, I am terran not one of the obviously filthy Isha. 2) You have been drinking, and you are called to the transporter for an emergency away mission, what do you do? Shake off the buzz of the light wine that I have been sipping and transport as ordered. 3) A Terran Imperator's private shuttle hails you and requests docking clearance, what do you do? Hail back, AVE IMPERATOR! 4) There is a glass of 1 litre in volume. The glass contains 35.502 militers of water, 43.24 militers of vodka, 9.42 militers of orange juice, a stick of Thorium with volume of 40 cubic centimeters and an average density of 11.7, two ice cubes of normal density and total volume of 30 Cubic Centimeters, a minature umbrella, made of wood, with normal density and 0.2 Cubic Centimeters in volume, and five berries, with average density of 0.2 and volume of 8 Cubic Centimeters. How would you describe the glass? A plebeian's beverage not fit for the likes of me. 5) If you have 2 beans, and you add 2 more beans, what do you have? Too many beans, and gas. 6) You are a doctor. There are six people in a room, not including yourself. All are middle aged, and other than their noted issue, are in good health. The first is entirely healthy. The second needs a new heart in 5 hours, the second needs a new pair lung in 3 hours, the third will die in 5 days regardless of what you do, but his lungs and kidneys will be unusable, the forth has a cold, the fifth is overweight and your nurse. What do you do? MUSICAL ORGAN DONATIONS, WITH A HACK SAW AND A CASE OF BRANDY. 7) You have some downtime, what leisure activity do you partake in? Pinochet 8) You are the pilot on a transport vessel which has been hit by an asteroid. The Captain has shot the sensor officer for not warning you about it, but the truth is you just messed up, and you suspect the Captain knows, but also knows you are the only person capable of flying the vessel, so cannot shoot you. The vessel is on course for another vessel, but the other vessel is filled with the hated Andians, and if you crashed into the vessel, by accident, then everyone would die, and be cloned back at base with no memory of the incident. However the Andian vessel is a medical ship. What do you do? FULL SPEED AHEAD 9) If Admiral Dusty fought God, who would win? >implying Admiral Dusty is not in fact god. laughingandians.jsfd 10) Your captain seems to be deranged, what do you do? Play along, he is obviously showing signs of incompetence and will soon be replaced by a much more able member of the crew; that is to say me. EDIT: Since every one is giving themselves a theme I might as well too. EDIT: as I'm the first person who has their build done can I be captain?
  20. The attack was raised around four levels by the person who took my account but it doesn't look like he changed anything else.
  21. Hrmm, I've just checked my runescape account and it would appear that I have been hacked. Welp time to get it back (damned if I'm going to play it but I'm not letting the effort that I put into it go to waste).
  22. [hide] Anyone have any opinions on it? If I started running it...Hegemony will obviously have to end. Also, three nights a week will tread on someone's toes...I am happy to do two or three. One is too few(Glutton for Punishment that I am =P) and four is too many. I think its a great concept and you can probably guess what I would pick as my class (currently have a concept for a background on it) [/hide] It looks like fun (I'll play in it) I would assume that it would make the planned rogue trader game semi redundant though.
  23. Nah I'm fine with going over the weekend (especially since it looks like not everyone else has spring break over this week).
