Your thinking clerics mather (and clerics can still [bleep] you up rather well [bulls strength applied to the entire party as a full round action...])
  2. Grim_ replied to Grim_'s topic in Falador Tavern
Check the front page for the character generator. EDIT: I thought combat maneuvers where the monks main advantage?
  3. Grim_ replied to Grim_'s topic in Falador Tavern
A rapier/shortsword would work. Okay then mask are you finished with the questions?
  4. Grim_ replied to Grim_'s topic in Falador Tavern
Okay so I believe you can still use the weapons finesse feat but you'll take a penalty of 4 on your primary hand and 8 on your off hand (without the two weapon fighting feat).
  5. Grim_ replied to Grim_'s topic in Falador Tavern
It's two random encounters to entirely explore a hex (you know the general location of bokken the potions maker but not much more than that). So let me set up the map for maptool and start off! EDIT: I think a rapier can only be used in one hand (so you cannot dual wield them) You can use a rapier and a short sword or something along those lines (but you take a large penalty for two weapon fighting). Sure retech, works for me.
  6. Grim_ replied to Grim_'s topic in Falador Tavern
Very unsubtle hint retech :P. If it isn't a problem for any of the Europeans I wouldn't mind running an hour or two long session. Note however, if you're not here for at least part of the encounter you will not recieve experience. In any rate give me 10 minutes to upload something and I'll be ready.
  7. Grim_ replied to Grim_'s topic in Falador Tavern
It was a bit of a joke. If everyone is here then I'll run a session. If not then I'll wait till thursdsay (and run an especially long one then). And yes yes I have played Haven and Hearth (wait till I introduce bears). EDIT: Class skills give a +3 bonus to your modifier for them the first time you take a rank in them.
  8. Grim_ replied to Grim_'s topic in Falador Tavern
But not everyone is on... (and there will be boars/dire boars/druids in dire boar form/awakened dire boar druids)
  9. Grim_ replied to Grim_'s topic in Falador Tavern
Note: A lance gets bonus damage for charging. Use that as you will. Lets see, erm from what I remember of the cavalier orders I would say that dragon would probably be the best idea (hey anyone can be devoted to their friends including evil characters). Or you could, you know play order of the cockatrice... Oh and the group could use a tank/but saver (earth can sort of do this at lower levels but even at third level full plate will outclass him totally). EDIT: Oh and if you're worried about having extra hitpoints I'd look into the toughness feat.

Thursday works well for me. There's no real reason not to play an old man (it gives some rather nice bonuses if you ask me). Yeah, you have a 6 person party but no one with charisma worth a damn or with too many social classes (well the inquisitor can probably do some of it). On the plus side if you coordinate your skills I can throw all sorts of challenges at you (and Note; there will be enough down time to make crafting/enchanting items viable).
  11. Grim_ replied to Grim_'s topic in Falador Tavern
Sorry for not being on for awhile today. I had a dentists appointement I was unaware of. I would however like to do a session tomorrow (starting at 10 AM or so Pacific standard time).
  12. Grim_ replied to Grim_'s topic in Falador Tavern
Bah, yes it looks like you could guide your mount with your knees and still make a full round attack. (mental note: Bring in horse eating goblins at first chance) Though if you are interested in mounted combat might I interest you in the cavalier? EDIT: Are you positive you want to go for an archer druid build? This should go for quite a few levels and the lack of full BAB is going to hurt quite a bit.
  13. Nothing citizen, now move along.
  14. Grim_ replied to Grim_'s topic in Falador Tavern
Damned elven weapons :P. Yeah, that should work (any preferences as to how Jen gets written out?) and if you're playing a druid wouldn't you want your main casting stat to be 18 and your secondary stat to be 16 and not vice versa?
  15. Grim_ replied to Grim_'s topic in Falador Tavern
Okay, try again (enabled UPnP to see if it helps)
  16. Grim_ replied to Grim_'s topic in Falador Tavern

  18. Grim_ replied to Grim_'s topic in Falador Tavern
D'oh The password is Tavern (either with a lower or upper case T)
  19. Grim_ replied to Grim_'s topic in Falador Tavern
Okay then, if everyones ready the server's up. Ip: 208.106.7.22 Port: 51234 Password: Tavern (lower or upper case T)
  20. Grim_ replied to Grim_'s topic in Falador Tavern
I think I have them on my other computer (give me a minute or two to boot it up)
  21. Grim_ replied to Grim_'s topic in Falador Tavern
I believe you start with 1+any bonus feats
  22. Grim_ replied to Grim_'s topic in Falador Tavern
Traits and hero points are in the advanced players guide. Hero points can be spent to keep a character from dying (stabilize it) at a cost of 2 hero points. You may add a +8 bonus on an attack roll at the cost of one and then there's the special clause which means it gives you spells a bit more power or lets you do things you normally couldn't. Traits are character specific and unchanging.
  23. Grim_ replied to Grim_'s topic in Falador Tavern
Yes, but it'll be a [bleep] to repair and find a new one (it's an exotic weapon so a DC18 craft weapons check is needed to create it). EDIT: Oh and as a general note: Grappeling, sundering, tripping and disarming all generate attacks of opportunity unless you have certain feats for it (Improved X)
  24. Grim_ replied to Grim_'s topic in Falador Tavern
Unless it's modified by the a trait it's the rangers starting wealth which is 5d6 × 10 gp
  25. Grim_ replied to Grim_'s topic in Falador Tavern
It honestly depends on the place. Drow would probably be slightly tolerated (not killed on sight) but would probably not be let into cities (as a precaution against raids) and have some slurs hurled at them. EDIT: The equipment .pdf is here http://chet.kindredcircle.org/pdf/DnD3.5Index-Equipment.pdf
