I for one, pj regularly, and the person im pjing rarely realizes im there, its normally the randoms walking around that see me with my rune 2h/darkbow/whatever the hell i use that attack me for no apparent reason, not many pkers look at the edge of there screen while they are getting pounded for 20 damage.

Anyway, yes, risk sort of equals reward, but even with protect item you are RISKING, people can smite, etc, and more importantly, they earned the money, they deserve the advantage. Oh and, the AGS wont be 80 mill for long. Edit (moar edits): DDS can ko in 2 hits as well.

ITS JUNK, its not only me who can't sell there willows most people can't its generally accepted junk. The average fletcher uses willows between 35-50, and uses about 1500 (rough estimate) The average woodcutter cuts willows from 30-60/80 Some even to 99. Thats AT LEAST 3500, all the way up to 100-200k willows theres probably more woodcutters than fletcher's, due to it being a non member skill. Its not proof that willows are junk, but it definitely supports my argument. Coal on the other hand, is normally gone by the end of the night, even instantly sometimes, ive never failed at selling coal for more than a day, ive failed at selling willows for about 3 weeks now, and counting. Most of the RS community agrees that willow is junk. I'm beginning to question your experience with selling either willows or coal.

So... All real pkers want to get the same drops, while at the same time not being able to use there cool items? Its not as if making that person lose there AGS is going to give you better drops.

Because, there is always that slight chance that you will die, weather it be from lag, or some epic combo with dark bow or ags. And yes, complaining does get you somewhere, complaining could make jagex give us protect item back, theres always that slight chance (however rare from a company like jagex) that they will listen to there customers. Who cares if they can use the prayer to have no risk, they earned the 60 mill for the AGS, they should be able to use it in PVP with protect item.

I for one don't like phoenix necklaces, and would prefer the strength bonus from strength amulet. Ill keep it in mind if i ever decide to risk an expensive item (i never will) in pvp.

Theres still risk in pvp regardless, sure you may be able to stave off death with your rings of life and phoenix necklaces, but tell me right now, would you risk half your net wealth in pvp without protect item? Would you really trust that you won't stuff up? My idea is to let us use protect item, simple enough isnt it. And, yes i do say it won't work, because it WONT work, it fails, you can see from this update right here, this is a failed attempt at getting rid of the 25k trick, it merely changes it into a 75k trick, and stuffs up pkers. I had no problem with the current (well now old) pvp system, bring me one post where i complain about the current PVP. Its jagexes failures at ridding the world of 25k trick that annoy me. Its true, when i talk about the 25k trick i rarely have any constructive criticism, but thats because of all the threads and idea's i have read, none of them would work without screwing over pvp drops.

Excessive precautions ftw. This still doesn't eliminate the fact that you can die from normal pking just as well, get pjed, and die from dark bow rushes just as easily as d claw rushes. Your precautions only work if your standing in the middle of nowhere, not if your just fighting.

Whats the use of claws or ags aside from pvp, very little to be honest. I don't think it will crash that far because there are still people who think jagex might give pkers protect item back. Lets hope they see some sense.

Its not to hard to die from a good combo, ive been killed numerously at or near full health in one shot before i even had a chance to teleport. More importantly, not everyones incredibly rich.

Look at it this way. The update STUFFS UP LEGIT PKERS. Turns 25k trick into 75k trick :ohnoes: :ohnoes: :ohnoes: I HAVE TO RISK 50k MOAR!!! BIG WHOOP!!! And is generally fail, it doesn't fix anything, and it still pisses us off.

I think the update fails. It doesn't only stop one itemers, it stops anyone whos not incredibly rich from being able to pk with good items.

Relevance is questionable, but i hate people like that.

I'm sure most pkers would rather be able to protect there dark bow than lose it. I mean, the enemy still gets the same valued drop, so why remove protect item? Plus, he doesnt exactly have pking stats. Oh and by the way, whats changed with brawlers? I don't see how it changes anything, i can still stand around a hotzone with 75k the same i did before...

One question... Have you ever ACTUALLY been a pker before? I think its pretty obvious he hasent.

I don't see how killing protect item helps the average pker. Who cares about the rushers, i would rather be able to risk my decent items amongst a horde of d clawers than not be able to risk it at all.

I think this might actually encourage rushers and pjers. No one will pk for real because to much risk with higher items, so it will be a pj fest.

These changes suck. Not all low levels lose 75k when they die, infact to be honest most don't which then forces us to take money or something to make it so we have a decent chance of a kill. Then they remove protect item, far out...
