With 70 defence he should in no way use rune. Not even with super defence is it a good idea. Get a black mask at first. The 15% boost is awesome. When you get 500 points (enough to cancel/block a task) then buy the slayer helm. Get the focus and hex if you wish to add to it. Buy a Torags body and Veracs skirt. The defence will be needed at your level. It may be seen as overkill at mine, but even on some monsters I struggle. Get Karils instead of the Dhide. Karils will help much better against tasks you need to have mage defence. 2K sharks? Waste...... Go with 2K monkfish or pineapple pizza if you want to. ZS is a good idea. Go with this or a SS for tasks like WF's. Then again, if you're using duradal then make sure to have a ZS if you do aquanub tasks. Stock up on pots too ;) Prayers are currently crashing and easy to get. Make sure that if you can afford it to pray and cannon each task. You'll still profit. Go for a fury if you wish. The bonus's do help quite a bit at times. Rune defender is essential. Maybe try and get prayer up a little. Prosylite armour. Hope that helps.

Get rid of the dhide and wear veracs. You need to hit through her melee pray on the 2nd form.

Seeing as you're already 74 summoning then, use the crims first on granite lobsters, then I'd say barkers with the golds (much cheaper than bears ;) ) then fruit bats maybe or whatever the highest thing you can make with your blue is. However people know much more than me. Heck my topic asking for help has made the 3 page mark with all my questions about it being answered.

To me they're about even..... Sup Set etc. I don't piety them atm, as I don't have a unicorn. But still..... SS has less crush bonus so I'd have thought that would get in the way? Or is it the fact that it has an epic str bonus?

Karils is well worth it. However abby specs you'll struggle tanking with it I guess. So I'd stick with cannoning them in the CT. ZSpear is one of the most epic crush and stab weapons in the game. Use it on stab on Aquanites if you ever get them. Crush on WF's. And then if you can use super antifires at any point stab metal dragons...... Oh and if you're ever interested - Corp.

:shock: Ok I'm really trying hard to understand all this update...... Right ok, let me talk through what I think is happening whilst you lot tell me if I'm right. They changed HP to Constitution which in turn takes your HP and multiplys it by 10. This new HP can open up ways for them to add new armours etc? :S I don't see how....... Couldn't they have done that with the old HP? For example: "oh I have 92 HP, *puts on armour* yay now I have 99 HP as this boosts my HP above my base level"......... So they're doing the same thing with new HP? "Oh I have 92 constitution, *puts on armour* yays I have 990 HP"....... It kinda makes no sense how they couldn't do it with the old HP from what I hear and understand from reading all 30 of these pages last night whilst on here posting too....... What about rocktails etc? They healed you ABOVE your old HP, do they do the same now with new HP? I don't exactly see why they changed the system :unsure: :???: Everyone is saying "just imagine it without the 0 on the end"...... well then..... If I imagine it without the 0 on the end then it's the old HP....... and then everyone's all "amg new armourz and potz to raise HP :o :o"...... and all I can see is..... *whacks 0 off*.... ummm..... why can't they do this with normal HP? It just doesn't make sense to me..... it feels like I'm bashing my head against my wall here not being able to understand why they couldn't keep the old HP to do the same things....... :wall: Someone? Lala it's not over exorbitant it's fair. If it was me in their position I would have made it AT LEAST 3K maybe even 4K because I'm a *insert word of choice here* to people who whine about not being able to get a fire cape at flippin 93 slayer unless they're a level 3 skiller who's only ambition is to SW all their slayer exp. Anyways, I'm atleast a bit happy that the people who want to kill strykewryms have to either stop having 5m worth of profit or shut up :^_^: And it's easy to get 2K points really...... I have 2300+ And I'm not even 85 slayer yet, so why the hell people waste them I have no idea.

That sounds pretty awesome for me :D I'll be going for 99 smithing when I get 90 slayer, so yays if something like a smithing update happens :)

OK then, plan update time: 1. Non stop slayer until middle of next week. This will maximise my charms and stuff. I will devote Wednesday and Thursday next week to DIY summoning 2nds to make sure that any difference I have from the charms stated on the first page is covered. 2. Instead of herblore first to get to about 65 or 70, I will do my tree run, then straight to summoning with no time to lose. 3. 5K+ Barker Toads over the first hours will score me 78/79 Summoning 4. SWITCHING TO 2K+ Granite Lobs when I get to 74 immediately over the 2nd and 3rd hour will score me 82/83/84 summoning or there abouts. 5. 365 Lava Titans over the hours after that will score me 86 summon. 6. Finish off the Barkers and consider what to do next. Bare in mind that I just ran these calcs through the tip.it summoning planner and it came out with 83/85 summoning by doing all of these things WITHOUT the exp bonus. So I should be well within my goal of 88 summoning. I wont be using my greens as they are too costly and expensive tbf. 6. If I don't make it to 88 summoning then I'm sure I'll get the loot and charms for the pony within a month seeing as I'm majorly powerslaying. Does that sound like the best final plan? If so I better keep slaying and make sure I stay on top of gathering the 2nds like swamp toads and granite to keep up with the golds and crims coming in. Also may give me an opportunity to try out this new HP again as I got scared on my steel task when I logged out at a "safespot" to log back in with an iron dragon breathing me after my 5 mins of antifire ran out and about 200LP left D: Might try the task again soon.

ALWAYS trade in your pouches for the 70% shards back :P it'll cost less than you think. I'm someone who wont spend money on anything but cannon or prayer pots because I don't like making a loss. So summoning to me is one of them big things. I'm going for 85 or so on the weekend from 68 :P So my cost will be much larger. But yea...... anyways It'll cost me about ~11m in shards for the granite lobs alone that I'm making to get me that high from 74...... This to me is a MASSIVE cost :ohnoes: and I really don't want to part with it...... but then considering that I'll get ~7-8m back I'm going to do it because it's not much loss. So yours will be much less than mine. Anyways if you post your charms and what you plan to make then people can help more. And from what I've heard, titans are 2nd to none in places like CT etc, and definitely worth it ;)

Interesting fact: Logged out in the "safespot" at the irons/steals in kura dungeon, logged back in 2 mins later to try this new HP again, what do I know? Straight down to 300 LP and having to house tele as for some reason an iron had attacked me just as I logged out.... so it was sat there for 5 mins or so fire breathing me >.> FML Jagex....... oh well, my char is safe and sound with 200LP or so left in his house.

Dunno about that. Maybe at some of them yes...... but..... think about it, they did a minor change to BA etc a few weeks back, they soon changed the torso back with less than that...... if this goes on I can't see constitution going on much longer :) :thumbsup:

Almost everything can be sped up by cannon really. Main things to cannon: Daggonoths, Aberrant Spectres, Kalphites. Melee/Range cannon: Iron/Steels north wildy, Fire Giants, Strykewyrms are but a few to name what I've been cannoning recently (minus the irons and steels in north wildy as not done the quest and kura dungeon is more efficient)

I'm 95 Slayer and have about 400 points, whats the point in hoarding them. Never know when they could come in handy, like now. Why not hoard them? Only get runes when and absolutely when you're 100% going to quit slayer.

I'm confident a lot of you are speaking from not even being above 80 slayer. I'm like 60K off 85 slayer and I have 2328 points....... Supposedly DD bug is fixed, and Corp was draining prayer points to 0 instantly, and attack and mage levels down alot. Mod Ash says they're fixed though. Tonnes of RSOF Rants and hardly any in support of update...... Wow O.o

Guide ^ Guide. The first thing is the 2nd set up where the writer says "When not on a slayer task with out a Dragonfire shield." However pictures have people with DFS. The 2nd thing is that the guide needs to be updated with SW cape and Ferocious Ring. Those were all I seem to remember finding. Will post more when I read again tomorrow.

Aquanites are 50 points. Killing Blows is 400 and Strykewryms are 2000 :D YAYS FOR JAGEX :D GF people without fire cape <3

So, what do you think about slayer? Will it be the monsters HP then? Could they have forgotten it and so left us to get 10X slayer exp per task? And same with combat? 1 exp per damage or do they do the normal 4X or will the normal 4X be overlooked somehow and turned to 40X? They need to be careful they double and triple check things.
