  1. Which quests give some thieving exp? I know about "The Feud" and i did "The Tourist Trap" and put the 8K exp into thieving...... but are there anymore? if so what are they?
  2. Thanks for that! Now to change the topic the tiniest bit....... can people give me their ideas on how to beat the bosses best? and can i do DT with only 142K odd in the bank and about 80 something shark - HAVEN'T bought supplies or stuff needed for quest yet!
  3. Who to blackjack at my level? and how can i do it effectively?
  4. Pryamid plunder it is then -.- -.- I know that tip.it normally put the quest in the order that you have to do it, but reading through i guide it seems like i only need to have the thieving for one part........correct me if i'm wrong......if this is so, does this mean i can do the diamonds in any order? or do i have to start off with shadow etc?
  5. I'm itching to get me hands on them barrows gloves, and after the revalation yesterday that i only really need my cooking to 66 then pot it withs chefs delight i'm sorta praying for the same response here  So please people, is there any way in which i do not need the thieving requirement 100% for dt and that i can pot it in some way, shape or form? Also how far into the quest is the thieving part as i believe i can already start it?
  6. 1) Get your cooking to 66/67, then boost fromt here with chef's delight or whatever. Rougues den is the fastest, but cutting off 3 levels doesnt make it too bad. 2) Spicy stew - buy stew (20gp in the bar in seers village), kill hell rats, get spices, add spice. 3) The fued quest (30k exp) is good. Penguins resest today, and if that fails go to pyramid plunder  Hope i helped Aye ya did help max..... just one thing, i know that i need the stew and to add the spices, but i have forgotten how many of which spice to add...... is there anyway to get that recipie back?
  7. Reason for post - Barrows Gloves! 1) I now have the agility for awowogie and have the giant snake in my bank (i just got the filling with monkey nuts, bananas and cooking to do), however i only have 61 cooking....... so i was wondering is there anything that can get my cooking to 70 quickly and easily? or should i stay in rogues den and cook the 6K trout in me bank? 2) I've forgotten how to make spicy stew #-o is there anyway to get the recipie back? and do i have to keep killing the rats for the spices? 3) What is the quickest way to raise my thieving to 43 (for temple of ikov) then get it to 53 easily? Also what quests would you guys reconmend for thieving exp?
  8. Still then if you're F2P you'll make a profit with steel bars or higher.
  9. Depends how and what you're smithing: Smelting = yes Smithing = no Smelting ores into bars will make profit..... i know when i was doing mith i was making about 200gp profit per bar. Just buy the ores on the GE smith them and sell them. Also if you smelt cannonballs you'll make profit, and i believe you can make about 64gp profit if you do it by superheating - buying ores, and nats to smith steel bars then furnace for cballs. other than that nope, smithing doesn't really profit
  10. yeah, only through the rats #-o Twas sooooooo annoying as i only had a kitten..... spent about 1hr getting all the stew stuff #-o
  11. Game Concept Document (Template taken from Mod Mark Hs topic on RSOF) Section 1: Concept Overview Game Project Name: Sea Faring/Piracy a multiplayer game that will allow people to work in a team to find treasure and loot enemy boats in successful raids, or they can mutiny on each other, and destroy each others boats, all in the name of being the first one to the treasure buried on the island. The beauty of this mini-game is that it can be both solo and team. You can get your friends to help you, and you can work together in a team of no more than 5 to collect all the materials, to make a boat, and to do everything else like boarding and plundering enemy boats. The main aim of the game is to reach the island in the centre of the ocean and to use a spade to uncover the buried pirate treasure under the X mark by following a series of clues and maps. The Captain will give you your first map for a small fee, and then you have to go to the other islands and find the other maps and clues to allow you to finally find the treasure. The more times you play this mini-game the better the treasure you will get. NOTE: This is a SAFE Mini-game where if you die, you will keep all your items. Document Creation Date: 14/04/2009 Story Line: On the coast of Gellinor there is a pirate, who goes by the name of Morgan. He was thrown overboard after his crew mutinied. He longs to return to the seas however he is gripped by a dreadful curse that will not let him. He has created his own little pirate cove, grown different trees, has set up his own furnace and smithy, and has even discovered his own mine with rocks ranging from copper and tin to adamantine and runite, so that he can pass on his piracy expertise to the wanderers and adventurers of Gellinor. He will teach you how to make a boat, how to defeat your enemies on the oceans, and how teamwork will always work best. Skills Needed: Woodcutting, Construction, Crafting, Agility, Thieving, Mining, Smithing, fishing, Ranged and Combat skills, and the ability to think and want to solve puzzles. Game Play Overview: When you speak to the sad Captain he will tell you his story, how he was mutinied upon, and how he made a deal with Davey Jones himself to live, but at the terrible cost he lost the one thing that he loved most the ocean. He will then ask you if you would like to become his apprentice. If you say yes, then youll be able to learn the ways of the pirate code, hunt for treasure, and have mighty battles upon the seas of Gellinor. However it does come at a little price. Seeing how he was robbed and curse the poor guy is down on his luck, and needs a little bit of money. He will offer you a treasure map for some pieces of eight (1000gp). Once you give him the money your quest has begun. He will then teach you how to fashion a boat out of wood This is dependant upon your woodcutting and construction levels, with magic tree boats being the sturdiest however needing the highest requirements and most durable and normal logs being the weakest and needing the lowest requirements. Also when youre making this boat you will get the construction exp to the equivalent in your house. Eg: you need 75 woodcutting and 75 construction to make a magic log boat, you will get the exp for the woodcutting and you will get the exp equivalent Eg a gilded alters exp in construction. He will show you the art of crafting a on the prow of your ship This is dependant on your crafting level, and will of course get you higher crafting experience the higher the log. He will allow you access to a mine which contains all the different metal ores of Gellinor (with coal ores there too of course) and then you will then learn the art of smithing cannonballs from different metals other than steel again it will depend on your level to which cannonballs you can make, and your mining level to which ores you can mine. You will gain the correct exp for mining and smithing the ores. Captain Morgan then shows you the ropes, how to defeat an enemy boat with the cannonballs you smithed earning yourself range experience, how using your agility skill you can board enemy boats, and then using your combat skills to dispatch the enemies on the boat, and finally using your thieving skill to relieve the enemy boat of all the precious booty it contains. He also shows you the different maps and clues that you will have to follow when playing this mini-game so that you can reach the final island and gain the treasure You will gain all the different types of exp from the agility, thieving, ranging, and combat as you would normally doing things of equal skill. You can even just kick back and relax on your own boat and fish off the side for a little while. You are now ready. You then make your boat from the materials you can collect and armed with the map and your team/solo kit you set sail to be the first to the island where the treasure is buried. You will be up against other soloers/teams all trying to get to your treasure. Key Selling Features: The mini-game offers the experience for the gamers to obtain. They will gain the experience they would normally do if they were to; lets say mine a runite rock, then smith it. They will then gain the extra exp for making the cannonballs out of that runite bar. Or another example would be that if they managed to cut some magic tree logs they would get the experience for it, and then if they constructed a boat out of this they would get the same experience as making a gilded alter/the highest exp item that they can construct at level 75. It also allows the players to work together to share the loot of the final island or to work solo to gain the spoils just for themselves. This loot can be anything from coins to God book pages, to the God Armour/Dragon hide. Section 2 will be coming tomorrow look at following site for more info http://[Please Use QuickFind Code].com/c=-ruv9UlEgYw/[Please Use QuickFind Code]?84,85,3,57646475
  12. This is only a thought at the moment, and needs LOTS of work but: I know there has been a lot of hype about this "sailing" skill that jagex is supposedly going to bring out sometime this year, however instead of it being a skill i think that it could be more rewarding if you did it as a mini-game and here's why: It could be a great way to raise skills! Everyone already knows that on quick chat you can ask people things like "Can you please smith me some runite cannonballs" or things to that effect etc which hint that once this new skill comes out that we can smith more and different things etc, well to utilise it we could make it so that this minigame can raise all sorts of different stats in different ways, and what's more is it could be fun and enjoyable. The way it could raise the skills is as follows:- Woodcutting - Cutting the wood for the boat Construction - making the boat Crafting - for the figure that goes on the front of the boat Smithing - making the cannonballs Agility - boarding enemy boats Melee skills/range - cannonballs into opponants boat, and when you board you can kill the captain Thieving - looting the newly boarded boat when the captain has been dispatched Fishing - What would be better than catching a few fish off your own boat eh? And if the sailing skill is introduced, then obviously it would include the sailing exp. This idea is only really in the first stages of development and i would love people's ideas on it. I will also be posting it on RSOF. If anyone does have any ideas please post them and i'd be happy to discuss them through with you. And of course if you post it on any other forum please cite me as it was my idea. Give me a few weeks and i'll have it in a better format, with more ideas, but still please i do need people to pull in here and help me  (and yes, you will be cited too when i post updates etc)
  13. I saw that thread, but thought it was only for bugs and how to fix them #-o well done me =D> Anyhoo thanks
  14. Title says it all......i just posted an idea for a mini game on RSOF and i would like to post it here too, so i don't just get flamed, but i get some good feedback. So where abouts would i post it?
  15. I went with a friend of mine not long ago. What's best for you is because you're starting out is perhaps what i did: Prayer Char Set Up Archer Helm - or get robin hood hat, or a mitre Sara Stole - or zammy, or even use the armadyal pendant Red Dhide - you can obviously wear black or you could try the monks robes as mentioned above - or the blessed dhide eg sara top, zammy bottom Snakeskin boots - or get archer boots ava's Accumulator Rune Cbow 2K mith bolts (I used up about 500 a trip scoring 200kc a time) Unholy Book I'd wear a ring of life to begin with as you get your bearings, then move the archers ring or if you want to go to wealth....... however everyone seems to say on here that the wealth decreases the bars you get, and increases the other drops. Prayer Inventory the one i used was a follows: 1 Rope to get in (only need 1, it stays there) 1gp 1 noted addy bar 100 natures 400 fires - fire staff (you'll find that you'll end up with more natures than you start with) 26 Prayer Pots 1 Shark (for emergency) This set up cost me about 200K per time i went, and i managed to make 500K profit each time racking up 200+KC...... however I would advise you try ranging potions, and if you can take a holy wrench do so. You can also substitue mith bolts for the broad bolts. BEWARE with this method you do drain quickly, and it's only really worth it if you're in the centre area all the time with 4 or more on you at once. I haven't tried B2P set up yet, but i do believe people know it is superior, and i will be trying it out soon. B2P Char Set Up Archer Helm God Stole - Arma pendant - Fury - Glory Zammy Dhide Sara Chaps Snakeskin Boots or rangers barrows gloves or black dhide vambs ava's accumulator Rune cbow Mith/broad Bolts Granite Shield (no need for god book as you cover that with the chaps/body/stole) Ring of life for first go down there, archers ring, or ring of wealth once you get used to it Invent Set Up (1 rope if you haven't already done that part) 1gp 1 noted addy bar 100 nats, 400 fires - fire staff 100 B2P tabs 1 prayer pot (for emergancies) 24 Bones (for first B2P tab) That should let you last a while. BEWARE - If you stay in the main area all the time expect heavy damage (they hit 15's on me constant and quick and i forgot range pray was off #-o ), so there are 2 aviansies down the lil side ally on the right that no one goes to, and they often have a warewolf helping you out. Hope that helps man  if not pm me, or ask even more experienced people on this forum :P
  16. kill the babies, more quick and efficient....... or you could range the adults in taverly dungeon/evil chickens lair as you can safe spot
  17. This is an amazing guide; so thank you  Hunter is one of my favorite skills just due to the sheer unpredictible nature of it, but i had no idea what to do other than catch polar kebbits......... anyhoo thanks to you i went from 24 hunter to 47 today in a few hours and made me a nice lil profit too which gave me 400K to use for slayer equipment when i bought me an ammy of fury  so thanks!!!!!!
  18. Barbarian fishing is your best bet......oooo that reminds me i have 1300 trout left to fish for 62 fishing and swan song! Anyhoo barb fishing if you want quick and easy exp.... also if you want to bank it you only have a lil run...... other than that it's monks for money. or you could try fly fishing in shilo
  19. Just wondering what people think of the amulet of fury........ I'm a keen slayer and want to get it to 85 (see signature to see how far i have left!) and i'm going to be doing it for a loooooooong time........ anyhoo: yesterday i broke the 2m gp total profit from slayer (go me  ) and then i want off and did some woodcutting....... when i get it to 70 i'll probably have enough money for a fury, however the possibility it will clear me out of cash again......... so........ people what do you think? would it be worth me getting a fury to go with my slayer? or wait forever to get bandos chestplate or something?
  20. Slayer does give money in the herbs, seeds, runes, coins (lil amounts that add up) etc. It's why since monday i have purely done slayer and have made 2m in the bargain
  21. it depends on the person, i think that mining cape is ugly untrimmed, however someone else here may disagree and say it's the most beautiful thing on God's green earth........ it's all about you and what you want, it's your cape, it's your achievement treat it as you want.
  22. Yeah that guy kicking your [wagon] is such a noob. Or maybe you should realize that 1 def pures are obsolete now Please, grow a brain. As long as there are other 1 defence pures (and like, more than half low-mid high level pkers are) other one def pures won't be obsolete, infact the people with high defence will be obsolete because they won't get any kills because everyone will just run from them. But if the strength pures are soooooooooooooooooo much better than the people with balanced stats, or the defence pures, why don't you own them? ohhhhh that's right, because you run away hoping to find other str pures to try and fight. Pures are wrecking this game full stop. Also someone better define a pure for me, because from what i gathered a pure was someone who trains only one stat eg str to 99........ not ohhh i'll train my str to 99 and my atk to 70 and i'm still a pure. :shame: doesn't work. But still if you run away from fights why are you in pvp? i thought the idea was you fight other players? if so; grow a pair, swallow your pride and fight them! It is why pures will always be worse than mains, because mains can trash pures all the time because pures run away as they're too scared to die, or to admit they're wrong
  23. well my main concern is loosing the money i spend on it....... is there anyone who has expreimented with how quick they buy and sell at med price?
  24. I'm currently in the process of cutting 4343 yew logs to get me from 65 to 75 woodcutting. And yes i know maples, willows, and God knows what else is quicker but i'm mainly in it for the 2m profit as i already have 2m total from slayer so that'll give me 4m towards bandos chest plate or dfs! But seeing as i'm gona be doing this for a while i have a dialemma..... if i bought a dragon axe at med price on GE, would it: 1) be worth it? 2) Be quicker than rune? if so, by how much? 3) re-sell at med price after woodcutting is done? Thanks in advance. Ez
  25. If you want a shield to tide you over until you get a rune defender then use the obsidian shield. Although it has the same defence stats as granite i believe that the strength bonus is a good way to start. But get that defender asap! Then if you ever get the money get the DFS..... it OWNS!
