So right now, unless I feel like maxing my account (which im not really in a rush to do) pking is a bad option for me then on this acc.

Well, as of late Ive lost alot of interest in the game. The few times I have gone pking, I enjoyed it, but I was never really good, nor did I care to learn at the time since I was still very new. Now Im looking to get into it again, but the problem is, I dont know how. From my current stats, I was thinking of getting my range and def up and becoming a range tank, but my high att and str may be to much for that. So, tell me what you guys think, and maybe some starting equipment and tactics. Ill also be working on getting veng, so that will be available to me (eventually)

Most of the rewards are cosmetic, but you are forgetting about the jack of all trades aura. Its not only the most expensive, it also offers the most bonus xp (hopefully, we all know how reliable jagex is about getting our hopes up)

Also, if you cant afford the unholy book, you could just do all the clue scrolls you get in hopes of getting the pages. Even if you dont get the pages from the rewards, you can always sell the rewards to buy the pages.

If you really want to get your rc level up, and also make money, then i suggest using effigies/lamps and such on rc. Then with the time you saved, go make money doing other things.

If you are looking purely at gp/hr, runecrafting is pretty bad. But in the long run, I think its a pretty good money maker just because the sheer number of runes you have to make to get to 99.

Ok, gear sounds pretty good. Ill range it since I feel more comfortable with that. I dont have my EE yet (few more levels, mostly firemaking) but I can grind those out first if need be. Now what about actually doing the waves?

Title pretty much says it. I know I can do it, but I dont know how or what to use gear wise. I have pretty standard range gear (black d hide, rune c bow) and have about 5m to spend, though i hope to spend less. If I could get either some good strategies or a good, up to date guide, that would be awesome.

I may be mistaken, but doesnt the ogre dude take noted pouches? I seem to remember doing that back before I got my kyatt

+1 Also, if you main only assists them, you have to wait to do all the assisting, and you also lose out on the dragonkin lamp for your main, unless this was the point.

Its a pretty hard thing to say exactly. It depends on what tasks you actually do and where you do your tasks. Wouldnt it be easier just to buy say, 20k at a time?

Since I finally ran out of ppots, I went to buy more, and noticed the prices have spiked. I know they are still cheaper than they were, but still, I dont like it. Is there a particular reason for the spike?

You could also try low risk staking. Its pretty much the same as pking, but you keep your items.

If by not paying enough attention to piety he means that he attacks a monster, switches to forums for a minute or so, then switches back to runescape to see that he's standing there with his loot on the ground, then piety may be a waste of money. He'd be using a lot of prayer points just standing around (if that's even what he means by he doesn't pay enough attention). This is exactly what I mean. As I was playing earlier, I was on TIF, looking for a new cell, and reading for my summer assignment. Kinda hard to piety while doing so many things.

Ill look into the zerker, but I dont usually pay enough attention to piety.

Generally whip/d scim, torag plate/rune plate, verac skirt/d skirt, d defender, FSH, D boots, rune rfd glvoes, and glory

So, coming back from vacation, I decided to pick back up on my slaying. Ive never slayed with the best gear, mainly because of cost. But now Im looking at about a 20m bank, and Im wondering if it would be better to get a bandos top, or fury first. The top would leave me with about 2m, while the fury would leave about 8m. Suggestions?

You could also do a mix of the fastest method with some stringing. If I remember right, you profit if you go from yew logs -> stung yew longs, then use that profit to do the faster methods. But only if you break your 20m budget

Sorry to hijack, but I havent been able to find the new spec anywhere. The only new stuff i have found is the +4 to slash and the +2 to str.

Alright, this sounds good. I guess Ill alch my 5k yew longs to raise my mage a little, then work on it more than I have been.

Alright, so my only real in game goal right now is to be able to solo arma and eventually get 99 range. Right now I have the arma top, but I was wondering what would be better to make as my next big ticket item, arma bottom, or dfs? Or is there something else out there that would be even better?

I dont really see the point of this post at all. You created it to defend the people who got the term "right" but does it really matter? If you say drop rate or drop chance, we all understand that you are asking for the probability of getting a specific drop from a specific monster. Everyone who has gotten past lvl 10 knows that you are never guaranteed a specific drop from a monster except bones/ashes/hides, and that any other drop is random. Anyone who has camped a single monster for that one high priced item knows that they could kill 1 and get the drop, or kill 1000's and never see it once. Im sorry that not everyone uses your "correct" terms, but its the world we live in, so suck it up and deal with it, dont try to correct everyone.

Reading this thread and lol'ing because I was still fletching. Made it to 2900 before i lagged and got kicked

Can you still do the whole fletch while you fish thing? I was thinking of doing broad bolts while barb fishing just to put a dent in my fletching.
