Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
SCAR is good, I put on scavenger with it though because you burn through ammo fast. Semtex seem better than frags. Try and steal every care package you see, loads of people don't know how they work and just bring them in and leave them. I also advise everyone to use an AT4 in the second slot, unless its a sniper class, because not only can you take out killstreaks but its amazing at getting across map kills on maps like Highrise, and eliminating campers. Brought in my care package on top of this guy on my team, killing him. This was in normal TDM. Pretty hilarious.

Boycott Modern Warfare 2
Maybe it would have been better if you had posted this before the game was out?

What Game(s) Did You Last Get and What Are You Playing?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
It seemed fair to give a stupid answer to a stupid question, "tbfh nerd". Has anybody tried third person yet? I haven't unlocked it yet but my friend has, so I'm hoping he can invite me or something. Currently loving the L86 LSW, just unlocked the holographic sight. Gonna try and get all the attachments for it. Only got a 9 killstreak so far, getting plenty of small streaks for care packages/predators but I can't get a long one going. If you set up a sentry gun in an intelligent position you can do well with that too. Got an epic predator missile kill on the map "Rundown" I think its called, got a triple kill with it.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Lol. Better than COD4 so far; maps are a little large but spawns seem to have been adjusted to cmpensate.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Never heard about Snoop Dog, but 50 Cent is definately in there. Installing to HDD as we speak.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Got my copy. Waiting till 8:00 tomorrow to play though. Don't wanna have to go up against asshats who've had the game for 2 weeks, or be in violation of the street date with Microsoft and IW's frankly ambiguous policy towards whether its acceptable to play or not. Gonna be a long 16 hours.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
If you're stupid enough not to use an AT4, Stinger or Javelin to shoot down the copter you deserve to be nuked.
-
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
The 4th kill care package can have ANY kill streak in it apart from the nuke. Its weighted though; so most of the time you'll be getting UAVs and Predator Missiles rather than Ac-130s.

I liked the "Infamy" trailer better.

I already did that; it enables you to play it not to save it.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Yeah I really like that as well. I tend to snipe a lot so the longshot bonus is great. Silenced snipers confirmed btw, I saw a live feed where a guy had a silenced Intervention with ACOG. It wasn't really that great, beyond kind of assault rifle range he wasn't getting 1 hit kills apart from headshots, not even with shots to the upper body.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
The game is being sent by couriers instead of the Royal Mail, mainly by GAME but also other shops/sites. They've been dispatched in plenty of time due to strike action and as a result some are arriving early.

Something that pisses me off about PS3? Atrac. My MP3 player is made by Sony, and uses a Sony application to store music. Yet I can't save the music to my PS3, but I can save music from an Ipod. I mean, wth?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Its happening due to UK postal strikes, though the enormous amount of pirates does piss me off. If mine does come tomorrow I'm going to make sure I don't log into Xbox Live.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Its more expensive in the US? Thats pretty strange. In the UK its £10 cheaper. MW2 order status: Some peoples are arriving and being held back so theres a good chance it wont arrive.

Xbl adapter crappy?
I've had a 360 and the adapter for 5 months and I don't think I've EVER had connection problems, and I'm using Belkin as well. I'd also be surprised if the connection on it was anywhere near 90-100%.

Oblivion
I envy you that. I have the Boots of the Crusader, which stop attacks from wild animals, but my horse still gets attacked. #-o

Going with the car analogy yes you would be entitled to both recieving a better made car and customer support for it or whatever from Ferrari. Go down to the garage and ask for an MOT or something? They don't owe you anything and wont do any favours for you. Did you buy your PC, its components, operating system or anything from Activision/IW? No. They don't owe you anything. When the PC version is in fact cheaper I don't see that as an argument. I'm a student, but I'm still prepared to pay full price for the game because I feel its justified because of it's content. Say what you will about the console community, but remember that they have the spending power. Activision would probably got the same amount of money if they cut out the PC version entirely, focused more on the console versions and increased the price another £5. I meant that you should be grateful you got at least an equal version when they could have released a butchered port, a la Modern Warfare Reflex for the Wii.

I respect your right not to pay for and boycott the game. But don't try to force it on the rest of us.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Being defensive of IW before the games released does not constitute having IW's [rooster] in my mouth. IF MW2 turns out to be a pile of crap after I've played it I assure you I will be adding my voice to those condemning IW. I can't speak with confidence on this; do you know what COD4's default FOV was? Because I never had a problem with that. I agree this was pretty weak. Kind of like politicians who are asked an awkward question; trying to wriggle out of it. It doesn't affect me, and I don't care; because I don't see why the PC version should recieve special treatment. If IW made a crap port for PC then yeah, I would condemn IW for that, but what they seem to be doing is making themselves have direct control over the game. A cynical view would be that this is to make you pay for DLC, which it probably is, but remember that they will have to pay to run IW.net. Console players pay for DLC; IF Activision used IW.net to make the PC version alone have charged DLC then yes that would be very unfair. As it is they're making the versions more equal. You payed more for a gaming PC. Thats fair enough. But should you be entitled to more from developers? Its like buying a Ferrari and then thinking you should be entitled to cheaper/better fuel at every garage. You're already paying less for the game, and for all intents and purposes its the same as on consoles. Thats a pretty good deal in my eyes. For the argument that IW are screwing over their PC fanbase, which is where cod started; I bought COD1 and UO back in like 2003. Activision like money. They're prepared to rehash the same crap over and over for cash; Guitar hero and WaW prove that. Activision own IW, they're under they're direction ultimately. Activision can see theres more money in making cod for consoles after COD4 suddenly took off on PS3/360. Activision probably regarded making MW2 anything other than a crap PC port as a concession to IW, and I'd say that PC players should be grateful that IW at least made an equal or perhaps in some small ways better game for the PC. If making PC games becomes unviable for Activision then it would be like complaining that MW2 isn't coming out for the PS2. I know that MW2 has the potential to be a hell of a lot better on PC due to the more powerful hardware of gaming PCs, but when it's not commercially viable for companies to devote a disproportianate amount of effort on PC versions when theres more money in consoles don't criticise them for it. Criticise our capitalist society if you want, but thats a whole other debate.

Oblivion
In the next ES I really hope Bethesda make it so that fighting from horseback and horses in general are a major part of the game. Having to get off my horse to kill a wolf is [bleep]ing annoying.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
I'd say reserve judgement until the game is released. Then nerdrage all you want.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
My copy's been dispatched by GAME and theres a possibility of it arriving in the next two days. If it doesn't then its being kept back until release.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
I can't really say because Activision have them taken down pretty much within the hour they're set up. Best checking the IW forums or COD fansites.
