  1. Your chances are slimmer now because you're over 50 Summoning. It's a totally random and rare egg, so I wouldn't count on getting it anytime in the near future. My friend has 50 summoning and he's been trying for a raven egg for about 10 Woodcutting levels now, so your chances aren't much better. It's all a matter of luck, but with every Summoning level, your chances go down I believe. Just keep trying, but I'd resign yourself to the fact that it's an extremely slim possibility and don't get your hopes up. :(
  2. As someone who made it to 1060 total in f2p before switching, I have come to see that really the majority of f2p players are actually nice people. I only like cutting yews in f2p because, unlike P2P, people actually talk instead of staying confined to their clan chats or web browsing. Yes, there are idiots in free player worlds, and there are more of them than in members' worlds, but they're nothing that chat filters can't fix in the hotspot areas like the Grand Exchange. P2P however, is another subject. Never before have I seen a mix of high level people that come in 2 types: friendly, and full of themselves. In fact, just for doing a macro check at magics yesterday, because I like keeping Woodcutting cheater-free, I was called a troll and that I have "issues" by a 136. However, in the same day I was able to team up with a 134 at Bandos in which we traded tank duty for an hour with a team of people that we've never met or seen before. The RSOF is a good example of the "full-of-themselves," whereas certain activities can make new friends. Though, I don't think P2P will ever be as friendly and open-minded as F2P can be.
  3. I believe there are no Summoning boosters in the game at the moment. Summoning potions only act as a Mini-Obelisk, restoring Summoning points so you can summon more familiars and such.

1 Tokkul per fire rune unless there's none in the stock in which you'll get 2 tokkul for the first few.
  5. Summoning is an awesome skill, and Bunyips are heavenly. My only issue is that you don't get the impression that it is very expensive. It isn't, and since you're only level 4 you need to understand that it's going to take a while to reach magic number 68. I recommend training Slayer, but if you're itching for charms I'd find some monsters that drop Gold and Greens for now.
  6. How does it drain money? Dude, you just gotta' know the rate to train it. I just got level 79 Summoning today, and to celebrate I spent most of the money I've MADE from Summoning on a Dragonfire Shield. Summoning seems to be a great skill in that it MAKES you work for the levels, and it punishes you a lot financially if you try to rush it. The only real issue I have is the fact that Jagex disfavors the secondary ingredients through prices. I don't think it's right that Polar Kebbit Fur, which you don't even need 2 Hunter levels for, is 2k each because of its use to level 71+ Summoners (which under 40k people have). That's what I call a bias. :shame:
  7. I'm kind of getting close to the ideal Summoning tank (79 Summoning, 96 Defence), and I can definitely say it's worth it. At your level you're going to want to save Crimson charms and focus on Greens or Penguin Points (preferably the latter). Also, look at the quests that you have the requirements for/can get the requirements for that give an experience lamp as a reward. I didn't actually "train" Summoning until the late 40s or so which helped my charm count for the middle levels.

So what if it's stolen!? If it's stolen then not only is it identity theft, but Jagex could get sued by the credit card company because they are liable through how they got money when they weren't supposed to from the company. You really need to do your research on identity theft before you go on another "oh well I liked old wildy better" rant. :shame:
  9. i perty just want exp and charms Then roaches are for you! Even if money isn't an issue, it helps a lot in the long run, and the charms aren't as spread out as Dust devils, being more focused on Crimsons. The experience isn't that bad either. I notice you can use bunyips, and one bunyip pouch at Roaches usually gets me around 30 Crimsons with more than enough money to pay for the levels.
  10. Whoa whoa whoa, I've done extensive tests on both and my answer is Cockroach Soldiers. Why? It's mainly because of the roaches' drop table being more consistent in their drops. They both drop Crimson charms equally well, but you'll most likely make more money that doesn't go into Summoning from roaches. Simply use the noted mithril and adamantite ores that they drop to buy your shards. This leaves you with only having to worry about raising funds to buy the secondary ingredients. Dust devils may have an extremely slim chance at Dragon chainmail, but their drops just aren't as consistent as roaches for the Summoner.
  11. Great guide, but I don't think your title is fair. At the end you mention that you can attain level 99 within 3 weeks, but you have to play 6 hours a day. I think 6 hours is a bit much for the average Runescape player, and it's just downright unhealthy to actually maintain that rate for weeks on end. So since you're updating your guide, perhaps a title change and a time explanation at the end of the guide is in order? :?
  12. I totally support high level free players getting forum abilities. High level people will actually bring ideas that could be somewhat useful, not just the people whose only way of "proving" themselves was to get their mom or dad's credit card number... =D>
