  1. Personally, I'd like to see a new kind of damage. I think something that gives Firemaking more of a purpose would be nice too. Therefore, I think something like "combat torches" would be sweet. They'd hit hard and deal burn damage (an orange splat) that acts like poison only it lasts for 3 or so rounds before wearing out, dealing a percentage of the player's hp in damage each round. The torches would come in the basic log types, while being crafted using the Crafting skill by cutting it and adding coal to it. The end product would need to be lit using the Firemaking skill, and the level required would vary by the level of wood used. :
  2. Hardest: 1. Summer's End 2. MEP2 3. Contact! Most Annoying: 1. Rag and Bone Man (the second part) 2. Underground Pass 3. One Small Favour
  3. Why Ss? Im not training str..Whip is better then ss when training str. My question is if.. Zerker neck+weapon BETTER then Whip+ rune def. Whip is not exactly the best weapon for strength training, as you can only train it on shared xp. I'd just stick with the Whip+Defender, it's a tried and true method and works great for Attack.
  4. I concur. :
  5. The chest will always be empty, just click "collect" on the collector and pull the lever. That should bring everything back to his inventory should he wish it. (This resets the whole maze however).

I like to melee them. Whip with whatever left-hand item you like works quite well with good armor. I can last an entire task under the lighthouse with just the occasional SGS spec if they somehow hit me down to 60hp or so. I recommend bringing a Bunyip, but Guthans works too.
  7. Must we exploit every single trick and flaw in the combat PK system? Honestly, I don't get why JaGeX even bothers catering to the PK audience. All PKers ever seem to do these days is exploit the combat system as far as they can go and complain when JaGeX reels in the line a bit. PvP worlds are meant for the fun of the kill and bounty, not get-rich-quick schemes. :shame:
  8. I've used each Godsword, and I made my decision last week by buying an SGS. So far, it's been the best decision I ever made. Now I don't have all that money sitting there collecting dust, and I have a perfect compliment to bunyips. I've even been able to forgo bringing a Bunyip and have done an entire Bloodveld task just healing with the SGS. Since I'm a GodWars tank and Bandos a lot, it's definitely made the difference between a 60KC trip and a 70. I pretty much bring it everywhere with me (no need to worry about prayer points on a clue), and when I'm off for the night I can get a free 50k by lending it in world 2 for a few hours.
  9. I made loads of money off Roach Soldiers in F2P. They're not bad for training too.

This is why the Next Friend list update needs to give us categories; Good Buddies, Godwars/PvP, and Random People. If they made it customizable, I'd definitely opt for that order.
  11. Well, I finally got 70 Ranged, so I'm ready to start camping at Waterfiends. I've done a few trial trips, and I have a few questions for our helpful experts. \ 1. Is there any good substitute to Karil's Leathertop? I just can't bring myself to pay 1.2mil or whatever for it when the bottom was only 160k... 2. Are my levels good enough to maintain a good charm rate? I have 84 Attack, 81 Strength, and 99 Defence. If I'm not good enough, is there any other Crimson dropper you could recommend? My current setup is: Helm: Dwarven helmet Necklace: Amulet of Fury Chest: Black D'hide body Legs: Karil's Skirt Gloves: Barrows Boots: Dragon Boots Ring: Seers Ring Cape: Defence (t) I'm wielding a Saradomin Sword, and I have Guthans in my inventory to heal on the Skeletons. 3. Any advice on things I may be forgetting? Thanks :
  12. I would get it. 2 or 3 good drops from a Bandos Coinshare with you tanking will pay it off easy. The week after I got 99 Def I had bought full guthans and a Bandos Godsword and had them paid off within the week thanks to tanking. \
  13. Any idea on the xp/hour of those options? :?:
  14. Hello, this is my first help thread, so let me explain. I hate Ranged. It, next to Fishing, is my most ignored and loathed skill. A major issue here is that I want to fight Waterfiends for 88 Summoning, and I can't wear Kharil's or Black Dragonhide. So, what would you recommend I do to train Ranged quickly and without frustration to level 70 from 65. Chinchompas I guess are a bit out of the question since they'd only be wasting major money. Stats are below, and thank you. :
  15. Welcome back! I just got 80 Slayer, and I was wondering where I should kill Nechryaels and with what. Could you fill that part in a bit for me? Also, would you recommend them for Crimson charm collecting? I can't wear black d'hide or Kharil's for waterfiends so I'm looking for a good alternative.
  16. One of the main reasons they did this was because when they put in New Bounty Hunter, people were robbed of their home worlds. How would all of us Tip.it'ers feel if our home world was changed to PVP. Eventually they'll get more servers, and I'm sure PvP has dibs on those. For now, I think it's fine. :
  17. I got another one! I remember when doing Underground Pass, I didn't bring a weapon....at all... I went through the entire quest with a Shortbow and about 50 Bronze arrows...epic fail?
  18. When I first became a member (8 months ago or so), I was exploring the Brimhaven dungeon. That was where I encountered my first Black Demon, and after running away scared for my life, I happened to discover that Dragons don't just come in Green, but in Iron and Steel too! All of these keen observations were made as I ran headlong into the Steel/Iron area without an Anti-fire shield. Yay me!

My advice: Tell them you know how not to die. What you don't tell them is that your method of not dying is teleing away at the last second.
  20. I love Summoning. I don't PvP, but it's just way too useful to not train. There's just something magical about being 117 Combat and having 130s go "wtf" when they see your Lava Titan following you through the Chaos Tunnels. Pures may laugh at me walking around, but no matter the case I'll last a hell of a lot longer than them in the GodWars dungeon. An extra 19 inventory spaces really helps when you're facing a lvl 624. \

Nah willows are pretty much 1 speed once you get a few dozen levels over their requirement. I still say that you shouldn't play 7 hours a day. If you're getting 99 because you just want the cape then you chose the wrong skill. You should train a skill you really like (and I mean it should be your favorite skill in the game) and consider the cape only a little bonus to training that skill so long. Once again I stress that you really shouldn't play 7 hours a day. :shame:
  22. Bassy replied to Kinosjourney's topic in Help and Advice
I figured that if I got 100k experience or around that a day, I was making pretty good progress. Either way you shouldn't be playing that much per day. It's just not healthy! Summer's on the way, go outside and play! I got 99 in free2play, and it took about 4 months from level 80 on willows. A Dragon Hatchet really makes no difference as it's made for yews and magics. You'd be fine enough with Rune.
  23. I've gotten 2 Construction levels from Oak Planks provided by Armoured Zombie drops. I get the Water Talismans for Ice Titan pouches from Brine Rats instead of the Grand Exchange (because they're overpriced). All of my Law Runes (well over 10k at this point) come from Cockroach Soldier drops. The same goes for Death Runes. There are a few more I know of, but I don't want to ruin it for people who have found them out on their own. :
  24. I can't stand the manipulation. I just don't see how merchanters should be rewarded for standing in a bank all day. They ignore the one point of Runescape; playing Runescape. I don't necessarily think it should be against the rules, but at this point in time I'd much rather have a fixed price economy than one driven by people who ruin the worth of items in order to get yet another person to 99 Fletching or Cooking... :(
  25. I would just make Dust Devils a goal and train Slayer up to 65. Otherwise I recommend roach soldiers because you can keep the noted ores and sell them for shard money, while the other drops go towards your gold count. \
