Chaotic Rapier
Since he has ovls and turmoil you don't want speed on task, he wants something slow but powerful like barrelchest anchor

Chaotic Rapier
Gona regret it bro Yeah dude at the very least get Augury.

Chaotic Rapier
Bro I killed over 2 Supremes ever. I hit a zero on him one of these times, therefore you need more offense

Chaotic Rapier
Dude, Supreme has really high defence. I would stick to a chaotic maul and failing that get rigour for help with prime.

Approx gp/hr for elites?
Elites are definitely not faster than level 3's. I'd estimate that if you can make over 3m an hour or so, elites aren't worth doing. Just a guesstimate, though.

About to get a rapier
Going to use it mostly to get to 99 Slayer, so obviously locked into Rapier. PVM is just a bonus.

About to get a rapier
Wondering it's effectiveness at the following places - - Gargoyles (or Saradomin Sword) - Saradomin GWD (or Verac's) - Bandos GWD (or Godsword) - Frost Dragons (or ranged) Thanks!

alching
Hint: alchemy is not a good way of training. You should Hunter Kit to String Jewellry to 99, it's pretty easy and you can use the Hunter Kits to gain EP.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
Cool. I'll bring my dds to GWD next time instead of my Godsword. It's faster. You are being WAY to general, and are not even considering any scenario, just making an overall description. Yes, it has more speed, and that makes it better--USUALLY. This thread is all about debating the trade-off of the Rapier and what benefits the CLS may have that make it superior. I've stated my view already, which is the fact that at maxed boss hunting stats (max melee, 99 mage, 99 sum, 95 prayer, overloads) the CLS offers effectiveness in more places that the Rapier does, and because you are so efficient at boss hunting already, the Rapier vs Longsword difference, in and of itself, makes very little impact by itself in the cases in which the Rapier IS superior. Just saying that something is better, providing unanalyzed information everyone knows, and expecting everyone to accept it as a divine truth is arrogant and incendiary, given the huge amount of effort and thinking everyone else has put into this thread. I thought I already showed that if a target has equal slash or less slash defense than stab, then even if the defense is insanely, high, the rapier is better with close to max gear/stats I'd say that's a pretty overwhelming conclusion. Again, the question is whether it is significantly better, because clearly, it is better in almost every location. However, there are places where using a CLS is perhaps beneficial. In those elusive cases, I'd much rather have the advantage than have a much smaller advantage in the more common places. Think about it. There is no evidence that can prove the CLS is trash. Evidence proves the CLS is inferior at most locations, but nothing can say that it is astronomically worse. The sheer fact that we are debating its effectiveness in this thread proves that from an observational standpoint, the CLS is equal or better than the CR (again, observational standpoint). This is proven by the fact that the argument "I used _____ and beat ______ at ______" can go both ways. Thus, while it's possible that the CLS is immensely worse, it is more likely that where it is worse, it is not worse by a whole lot. CLS is worse at training by like 14%, thats a whole lot. CLS is worse than a bit at solo bandos and stuff without a defender/fighter hat/ardy cape. CR is never worse by a lot compared to CLS, so if you want a weapon that is never worse by a lot, then rapier is for you. [sarcasm]What about waterfiends?[/sarcasm] Anyway, this thread has pretty much convinced me to get the rapier.

Herbalore costs... 45 to 86
Sorry. When I say it verbally it sounds like (hurb-uh-lor). It's a two-syllable word anyway.

21-Sept-10 Gunnar's Ground
More important - the greatest boss in RuneScape is now a non-attackable NPC. Thanks, Jamflax. Where the [bleep] am I going to get my iron hatchet now?

1,500 - done. 1,800 or 2,000?
That's literally exactly what you're doing. uhm what? - The only thing I said is that you shouldn't play more than 30-90 mins.. Well let me rephrase that: sitting more than 180 mins a day behind a computer is unhealthy and will cause RSI later now I consider the average employee to spent at least 1-2 hours doing administrative work (so behind a pc). And thus my statement that an average person shouldn't play more than 30 - 90 mins a day is simply a medical statement, there's no influence of my own lifestyle (other than that I did experience the bad effects of spending too much time behind your pc and I try to warn children who're still growing and thus more vulnerable to RSI). I played Runescape for about three hours a day from last Wednesday to Sunday. I'm stringing amulets with lunars. I've been mostly reading while I do this (both a book and these forums). I would venture to say that my posting on these forums has given me a greater chance of getting RSI than ANY of the time I've spent on Runescape this past week. Now, that's just one example, sure, but most activities in Runescape are almost as AFKable as that, and I'd guess that the average player spends far more time doing easy skills than hard skills (I'm the opposite). The point is that spending more than 30 minutes behind a computer screen does not give one RSI. It's what you do. I can get RSI from playing guitar (which I do more than I play Runescape). Finally, you telling other people to cut down on their playing time IS telling other people how to live, which is nonsense, because everyone's different. I played for five hours a day this past summer while spending tons of time with my girlfriend, friends, playing guitar, and reading. EVERYONE'S DIFFERENT. Sleeping isn't my strong suit, either :-P But seriously, yeah. I manage to have a life while playing lots of RuneScape and studying/hanging out with friends and girlfriend/reading by not sleeping. I function very effectively on like 4-5 hours of sleep. Once again, everyone's different.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
Therefore CLS > Rapier is subjective to you. No, it's not subjective. It's been proven that it's better. Proven where Most monsters have so little defence that the Strength bonus doesn't matter. If speed doesn't matter, why not use a Chaotic Maul The last 50 pages. Slightly better then Rapier MHing, which is what I need it for. Don't even bother trying to make me regret it. How is it not subjective when you ignore most of the game? CLS might be better for you, but saying it's a better weapon is just showing how stupid you are. This thread clearly proves that if you are maxed/have turmoil/overloads, rapier is a much better overall weapon. Or, for that matter, if you DON'T have turmoil/overloads/are maxed, because it will help you get those things faster because it is better at frost dragons.

Whip > D'Claws/SS/AGS/BGS/ZGS/SGS ~ Best weapon in RS.
Holy hell why did i never notice that? Well obviously it should be Dragon Battle Axe>Whip>ss/ags/bgs/zgs/sgs EDIT:Why did i listen to you *face palm* the Dragon Halbred is obviously better. It has 4 higher str bonus. It's fun equipping a d baxe & defender at waterfiends and then outperforming wannabee punks who think their ZS is [cabbage] on a stick. But uh, the dragon battleaxe is a 4-speed weapon while a ZS is a 6-speed weapon. I use an SS/Piety/Extremes at Waterfiends. I challenge you to a contest. I think I'll win against a battleaxe.

Reduced Clicking Training
Thanks for the replies, guys. I'll suicide up to a zerk (i) then string jewellery, it's only 2 gp/xp atm.
-
Reduced Clicking Training
Are there any relaxing ways to train besides Fishing? I don't care if it loses money as long as it's not 20 gp/xp or something.

Viable Jad Stragedy?
It's viable, yes. Doing it on task will make it much easier.

TD stats and TD vs Frost Dragons
And if CLS isn't, rapier must be... or was it maul? Overall, you shouldn't take TD's into consideration when choosing a chaotic weapon as they are almost impossible to differentiate from one another at TD's, ie, there is no clear favorite. Yeah, just get whatever weapon you'd get otherwise. I'd recommend the rapier.

Odds of getting banned for this?
Too bad Jamflax has awful customer support or you could just ask.

Max Melee, 138 Combat, Yak, ~Lowc15
I'll give a 2.5/10, you don't even have 99 summon, fake 138 tbh

Complete Slayer Guide
Sorry for the delay. Guide edited for punctuation/spelling/grammar - there were more mistakes than I'd have liked. No new content though, have been busy with RL.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
Generally, yes, as you can get a high enough prayer bonus from your other gear to cover using turmoil. I would say so. My standard setup of Verac's Skirt / Fire Cape (SW cape on some tasks) / BCP (or Proselyte body) / Fury gives me enough.

Need a Bandos Setup & Invo
Maximize magic defense + prayer.

Should Endgame Quests Require Awesome Levels?
Eventually, I think we should see 85-90 quest requirements. It should be done in increments and announced ahead of time to allow me to train to those, however.
