You can do it with one defence as long as you have prayer. Otherwise, bring sharks. I'm pretty sure you can do it, I beat the first part without Protect from Ranged.

The best for STR training would I guess be Verac's Flail if you intend to pray, but D scimm/Rune def is best for regular training, unless you get an SS.

Just to let you know, I've been using the Ranger's Aid(m) at the Ogre Training Camp, works quite well and very cheap.

Good thing I still haven't lost Eblis's staff. They're getting uber-pricey.

Very easy quest. All you have to do is pray mage and attack him with range from far away, I did it with addy c'bow.

You can make about 100k an hour fishing lobbies at Catherby if you want easy money.

That's mostly good for F2P, but IS the best way you can make money with cooking.

You could try green dragons in the chaos tunnels. what are your other stats?

Orly? I never had a problem hitting them. Sure, with 99 attack :D In all seriousness, though, fire giants or dust devils are better for training.

basilisks are terrible to train on, their defence is way too high.

Fish monks, it makes 120k/hr at my low level and it's super AFKable. Watch youtube, surf the internet, post here. Either that or hunter.

I'm at Chaos Tunnels. Is it better for me to pick up only the bones or pick up both, assuming I only care about prayer and not money.

With a bit of patience, both cooking and crafting CAN also profit (but that doesn't mean it's a good method). Crafting can profit if you make bstaves and buy them at the right prices. Cooking can profit if you make pizzas, potatoes, or mantas/sea turtles. You're doing something wrong, or not using the best teleports. I also plant snaps and marigolds and use all 5 patches, and my runs last 4:30-6 minutes. Sure, but it's not efficient to train Cooking as a profitmaker. You're better off doing combat then buying cooking.

The profitable skills are Fishing Woodcutting Runecrafting Mining Any combats Hunter Thieving (not much profit but VERY fast) Farming (herbs)

Chaos Tunnels are best. Wilderness is only good at 5 in the morning.

You can do it in about 3 hours at Green Dragons.
