Vlad - He was in it, he knows what it was about. I think he was asking, what happened to it. Basically, when the old database was "lost" and this new one was setup, they didn't setup the old user groups. Until we request it, which I don't think we will, it won't come back. :)

All the bevel's and embosses look really tacky.

Awesome. Would be a great theme for a website. I like the colors and the fonts and everything. I would say leave everything and change nothing. Great job. :)

Holy hell, the smilies are killing me guys...

Taking the text away from the middle will mess it up; however, it does need to be a bit more readable... I don't know how you think the best way to do that would be... Maybe tone down the background in that area a bit, add a slighter outer glow, increase the opacity of that horizontal bar, or even maybe change the text color. I don't know, but I think that will make it look alot better. Just don't move it.

First thing I have ever seen from you that impressed me. Good work. Some relfection problems, and other minor things, but this is definitely the nicest looking thing I have seen from you. Text could use some help too.

Well Eccentric already said she didn't want any part in this, so I guess we can kick her out of the first round, I haven't seen her post changing her mind. I just threw her in as a "what-if" Then we can just do Nad, Vlad, Demented, and Keiphus as a 4 man front in round 1. Some other people signed up, so you should have about 12 people. That will leave 2 more 4 man contests. The winners of these contests will go to a 3 man contest. Then you could have like 3 rounds of that or something. Whoever wins the most wins, and if it's a 3 way tie, you can have 1 tie breaker. Hope you people are thinking about themes. Demented, if you are going to be the one coming up with the themes, I strongly suggest you don't participate. However, if you want to, I'd say let somebody like Wyrm come up with the themes. Just some thoughts.

Really... don't show up after the fact and try and vote for the loser. Then there is always that shadow of a doubt of who really won. You can see the contest is over, go away and post somewhere else. They wanted your input earlier and you didn't give it. Go away now.

Round 1 - Me, Vlad, Nad, Eccentric, Demoris. How does that sound? We can have the finished product due on the 30th. How does this work for everyone? Demented - Make the PM's and lets get this ball rolling. Someone has to take the initiative here.

Demented - You should find dates that certain people will be in town, and we can run the contest for those people on those dates. Then, find other dates when other people will be here, and run the contest on those dates. Eventually we can get everything running smoothly. This would work best, and it would help space things out. This way everything isn't happening at once. Make a list of when everyone will be gone. I'm going to DC from the 6th to the 12th. I'm free any time besides that. Is anyone else free during the times that I am? If at least 4 people are, then we can have our group of 5 right there. Might as well get started. :)

Depends on how you exploit it I think. If it's pure coincedence, the creator of the image who holds the copyright can ask you to remove it from wherever you are using it. The thing is, if they hold the copyright, you can't really "prove" that you made it up and had never seen thiers. As far as they know, you looked at theirs and tried to trace it. Kinda lame I guess... I dunno for sure though, but I think that is how it works.

That picture was taken over 2 years ago... Like.. March 2002. It was when he was still like 90 smithing. Haha.

Just dump all the text... Or put Vengeance on the bottom and make the image a bit taller... I like the people, it would look AWESOME I think in just a 2 color format, without the ring and wings stuff. Just the red part alone without the bevel would be really cool looking, I'm assuming it's vector? Nice job though, I like the logo itself alot. Nice to see you found your way here. :)

The text is bad, yes, but one of the reasons is because of the color. The blue accent on the right of the text portion is an ugly blue. It just doesn't fit with the piece. Maybe pick a different color, a light color. Something that fits better with everything. Use your eyedropper and pick a color thats in one of the planets. :)

It's moving a bit too fast, and I think the rings are too much.. Maybe one planet with them would be cool. The texture on the planet is pretty good, nice work on that. The transition needs much more help though. The fade on the right planet where you can see it on top of the clouds is just tacky. Nice work though, doesn't look bad. :)

Would it be possible to maybe have a panel of like 5 judges? I don't think that having just random people is a good idea. It would be cool to have some judges who are graphically inclined, and then others who aren't.... GreatSilverWyrm Forsaken Mage Exarch Demented Hero Etc... That might work better than just some average Joe who comes in and says, "WOw ThaT lo0ks Uber LeEt!!"
