  1. When playing RS, my regular internet connection is really crappy as it keeps lagging out every 15 mins or so, disabling the ability to do any kind of activity efficiently (dung). Some are even impossible for me (every activity, basically). So I recently downloaded this new VPN server for my computer. When I activate it, the speed of my internet has definitely improved for most other sites, so it's faster browsing. However, when I play RS, guess what? It STILL uses the old IP address that lags out every 15 mins! Any idea how I can modify RS to make it connect to my VPN server instead of my regular internet IP? I'm thinking of deleting the cache, but it might be too much hassle... Any kind of feedback is appreciated! (If it belongs to tech & computers, sorry, please move it if that's the case.)

  3. I usually kick anyone that can't use everything tier 5, unless they prove to have good dg knowledge. 40+ really isn't hard for the average player... (also why I dislike w61) I'd figure I should start up my f2p dg chat again. It was actually pretty nice back in the early days of dg, but we were only able to do meds since there is a lack of players in the chat itself.
  4. Earths are superior to airs in every way apart from xp/hr if you tele (and even then, the gains are marginal).
  5. Rammernaut is easy - just run around maging him, avoid his charge special, and get him trapped in the corner. Once he's there, you can just lolmage him to death since he'll keep tripping when he does the charge attack. He's level 88, correct? Also it's better to bind a fire staff, eliminates the need to rc entirely. I for one find it more fun to do 5:5's the "normal" way. :P I haven't actually tried soloing any 5:5 bosses (lvl 87 soloing lvl 200 bosses lololol), but once I get high enough level I ought to try.
  6. Some of you seem to be missing a very important point... With higher levels come exponential xp gains. Look at dung at lvl 1. Then lvl 50. Then lvl 80. Then lvl 100. Then lvl 120. There is a NOTICEABLE change in xp gains as you progress through the levels. Therefore, if the level caps are raised to 120, you are able to unlock more new options to train the skill even faster than it was before, which actually means less grinding than you would really think. This also gives a GREAT benefit for 200m'ers in the front page, as they are able to approach 200m even easier than they did before. Of course, if we want to see these exponential xp gains happen, Jagex has to release more new, elite-level content. I would LOVE to see this happening! :thumbsup:
  7. Meh, who really cares about such trivial content :\ I prefer holiday events the way they are. Fast, easy, with a nice cosmetic reward at the end.
  8. I say this and smithing definitely needs a 120 level cap. Though, I don't really mind if any of the other skills gets raised to 120 as well. 120 constitution would really only be overpowered in f2p PvP. In p2p, there are waaaaay too many options for players to kill, and I doubt it would be too different when constitution gets boosted to 120. This also makes room for more elite level updates. Who said grinding for something is a bad thing? With the constant updates Jagex gives us, getting 99s in skills have become significantly easier each and every time. The same can be said for 120, if the caps are ever released.
  9. I always rush my meds ;p but in 5:5 larges people tend to die a lot, so we just clear out those rooms.
  10. Actually it's 6 minutes. But when you die and lag, honestly what can you do? For this reason and this reason only, I would repair/bless every grave I come across.
  11. Monoliths are much easier if all 5 are fighters rather than 2. Mercenaries do not adjust the same way simply because the monsters are scaled down due to the 3 failed leechers. You would still get lvl 50-67 shades in your monolith, while your mercenary would probably only summon t4. Because I don't leech (for a good reason as well), mercenaries are way tougher.

  15. I have to say, gotta love f2p! (That is until I get members again, though.) You know if I hated f2p I wouldn't even be here right now. I'm actually unable to play as a member, which is why I'm sticking as a free player for now. Or Trade Me pretty much has my thoughts summed up. I wish Runescape were ENTIRELY free... then everyone would be able to play the same game, and no more f2p/p2p disputes.
  16. Went "bot hunting" with my clanmates in the mining guild. We tried planting marker seeds next to rocks to get them confused. It worked some of the time, but other times it didn't. That was fun haha. Also, some of my irl classmates decided to play rs again, for fun :blink: wow what is the world coming to lolllll.....
  17. Definitely agree with shadow silk, rewards for challenge rooms, race dungeoneering and pickpocketing! About the challenge room reward, I think maybe a mercenary's staff? It gives the same stats as celestial catalytic (as well as the same requirements), however, every 5th hit there will be an extra damage splat that is 25% of your original damage. Monolith, maybe a ghostly amulet, which when worn, shades cannot spot you. Just like the hood however, it can be deactivated by mages/necromancers for a short while, same time as the shadow silk hood. Obelisk, maybe a spirit cape that makes scrolls use less spec bar, less summoning points are drained, AND familiars last longer. I'm not sure how PvP dungeoneering will work though. I'm not even sure if the idea will even work. Dungeoneering and PvP don't really mix imo.
  18. Just a slight question for all you dging pros. When the keyer is doing his keying stuff and haven't run into any gd's for a while, what do the rest of the teammates do? Do they clear out other non-deadend rooms until the next gd (better dungeon bonus)? Or do they skill for the boss (altar, prom ore/bloodragers, chests, morays, creepers, strongpots)? I'm just wondering since you guys mostly rush anyways. 75 dg in f2p, willing to learn everything about pro dung! :) (If I could ever become a member that is.)
