200M in all Skills
But with melee, you could be in combat every single tick afking giant spiders as well. There's also a giant mass of them so that might work too. Ranged also has a limited supply of arrows. You would probably need to restock every few million xp or so. With melee you can just tank all day long. This melee vs range thing would require extensive testing, and unfortunately I do not have the stats to do so. Perhaps a top f2per can fill us in?

Leechers should never be rewarded. Duh.

The Crew Wants You!
I have a question, does the guide section of crew involve player-made guides as well?

Because in the end, combat is what ultimately matters. Just look at all bosses + frost dragons + PvP right now... Skilling has been shunned, hunter, mining, runecrafting, and farming especially. The only reason you should ever be using these for money is if you can't do combat for whatever reason (lag, you're a skiller, not high enough combats). The only way to fix skilling right now is to integrate it into elite-level combat. And it has to be ELITE-ONLY, like herblore and extremes.

The items itself would obviously have a lot of desire. However, actually training yourself up for the requirement to make extremes and overloads... then THAT would have no desire. Herblore would be extremely cheap and ultimately pointless to level up. Making elite items untradable gives players incentives to train their skills up really high to reap the benefits of elite gear.

Does the defense effects stack? Like, you can lower defense with the scroll as many times as you want, until it has literally no defense at all. If so, damn, that's just overpowered

If it's tradable, then there would be MUCH less incentive to level up skills into the 90s. You can simply buy the thing instead of grinding a skill that has little benefits.

Yeah the game is made to be custom tailored to us regular players. Now, about the other skills, they really do need good, untradeable additions at 90+. Arrow-and-bolt-strengtheners (p+++) for fletching, more powerful imbued runes/staves for runecrafting, stolen pieces of very powerful gear for thieving, access to high-level areas for agility, adding on more healing food for cooking, catching rare species that are useful in combat for hunter, improving weapons and armor for smithing... List goes on. The ULTIMATE solution is to connect every single skill to elite-level combat. The only con is that every single skill (and yes, EVERY SINGLE SKILL) would become another prayer/herblore. But who cares? That's how the game is supposed to be. Would make 99s actual accomplishments.

Improving my internet for RS.
A lot of companies use them though, so they're not. Regular China internet for me is killer for RS, which is why I'm even bringing up this topic in the first place. If there is a VPN program that actually makes RS connect to a different ip address (displayed in the lobby), that would be great.

Runescape Pet Peeves
Should be in questionaires. That being said though, I hate bots an awful lot. Mining in the guild is pretty much impossible now given the amount of bots there...

This might be very well possible actually. Maple shortbows have a speed tick of 7, and have a max hit of about 180 or so. Rune scims have a max of about 250, with a speed tick of 6. Maple shortbow: 33.3 hits in a minute, resulting in 6k dmg/min Rune scimitar: 25 hits in a minute, resulting in 6.25k dmg/min This assumes all monsters have 0 def in f2p, hitting max each time. However this is unrealistic, especially with scimitar's max. So it may be extremely possible ranged has more dps than melee with monsters.

While I do certainly agree with your points, telling those kind of people to quit is a bit harsh... But yeah, people that WANT achievements without any kind of work towards them need a change of mind, because that's clearly not how an RPG works.

Dungeoneering Rants.
This thread is called "Dungeoneering rants." Of course there would be tons of people projecting bad team stories.

Dungeoneering, Fast dg, and anger
Ok point taken. That still doesn't answer why level 3's have the right to leech. They should at least be contributing SOMETHING to the dungeon progress. I mean making armor really doesn't help much, but at least it's still doing something. Heck, picking up unused food and dropping at base, coin drops, tier 5 fish/wood/ore... All lvl 3's need a fractite hatchet and pickaxe bound, and gather stuff the whole time. There's no reason to leech, honestly.

Then implement those switches into your multi-tasking? It's not that hard you know. If you really can't do that then don't multitask.

Improving my internet for RS.
On my vpn thing: Download: 0.7 mb/s Upload: 3.89 mb/s Ping: 254 ms Regular: Download: 5.41 mb/s Upload: 0.44 mb/s Ping: 61 ms I used hotspot shield and when playing rs it actually used THAT ip address instead of my home one. However it doesn't do that anymore so back to the start... Now I use a different program but that doesn't work either. My ISP for regular is Chinanet Guangdong Province, and the ISP for my other is Hurricane Electric. And actually when playing Runescape my ping is just fine for both regular and my VPN program, there's little difference. What IS different though is when I play Runescape on the regular Chinanet, it lags out quite a lot... while I experience NO lagout when my VPN connects. Even the IP address displayed in the lobby is shown differently too. But for some reason, right now even with the VPN activated (with a different ISP), it still uses Chinanet. Don't ask me why this suddenly happened :\

Thanks Sumona
Don't forget your full slayer helm, +15% in all offenses really is valuable for this. That's the only tip I can give for now.

DGin
Definitely agree with minor binds. Who binds a pickaxe or hatchet these days anyway? Also agree with partial dropping, but I think that would be too advanced for the game engine. However, I don't think 60 of an ammo is really enough especially for magic. Double 125 is fine already.

Dungeoneering, Fast dg, and anger
So you're saying it takes MORE times to find actual, useful dgers rather than leechers? ...gee, I think the guy who made w61 was drunk that night. At least tell them to mine ore, loot drops and stuff.

Sonic's F2P Dungeoneering Guide
Thanks 522 :) odd that you would create this acc just for the sake of posting on my guide, lol. Updates for other sections will come soon. I'm kind of busy these days so I don't really have any time to revise more of my guide. Plus for miscellaneous tips & tricks I haven't actually thought up of much stuff for that #-o
