  1. Weren't membership prices increased in 2008? If I remember correctly. The price increased after the release of HD. Existing members still pay the old price unless they let their membership lapse for 2 weeks or more at a time. I quit just after con was released, before that I played for a few years, I have been back a few months now and I have always paid the same amount for members. It might be because I live in england though. Hey! We protest! We protest! Unfair treatment of English/people living in England!! :D :twss: Maybe it cos JAGEX is an english company. I will never understand why people put jaGex ( I have even seen jaGEx) but thats a diffrent topic.
  2. Its more of a traditional wealth status. Before very few people could afford a chain and legs and a shield. (that was like 40 mil right there, only 3 years ago, imagine even more back when i started.) @ the original poster, bandos is easily the better choice. Even with the the lastest update?
  3. You would more likly freeze, the temp. is space -270 degrees Celsius or -454 degrees Fahrenheit, which is a bit nippy considering absolute zero is ?273.15° Celsius or ?459.67° Fahrenheit.
  4. Your post itself was spam. Really, this topic has gone somewhat bad, so I'll throw in some input on things. Perfetc, you have been given reasons multiple times, yet you continue to ignore, and have the nerve to then ask for reasons why drinking is a good thing. So, I'll state what I believe to be the main one, and put in some personal input. The main reason, I believe, is that of many things. Simply, it is a social activity. Whether you are going to a party, or going down the local pub with some mates. Alcohol can help you relax, and while too much of it can make you do embarrasing things, those who drink responsibly vastly outnumber those who do not. However, I will agree that those who do go overboard on drinking are seen more often, via the media and such, however, that's because that is what the programme is aimed to show, not because it is a factual representation of drinking. Infact, amongst younger ages here, drinking is becoming more of a problem, irresponsible teens, who are underage, are drinking, and getting drunk. Infact, I was viewed as strange by someone I know simply because I do not drink. Also, it's been brought up before, "Why 21?" Some 21 year olds are proven them as irresponsible as younger people when it comes to drinking. Infact, it seems to be in the prime age group for problems arising from a night out. I've seen someone get a bottle thrown at them, it's not a good sight, if I had to guess the ages, they appeared to be in the 20-21 age range, and that's here in Scotland where the age is 18. So, why do we have these problems? Simple. Lack of education. Through school, we were likely taught that alcohol was this evil substance that did all these bad things. Infact, I do not remember once being told the positive side of alcohol consumption. It's all fear tactics, hoping that we will be responsible. However, when we do get to consume alcohol, we think "Hey, this isn't as bad as they said. I'll keep drinking." Unfortunately, that seems to be the problem. We once had a police officer come into the school to educate us about alcohol. He asked a valid question "Why do people drink [cheap brand name]?" The reply? "It's cheap and gets you hammered." This is a terrible attitude to have. Of course, we were taught about the dangers of over consumption then, however, he did not try to stop us drinking, rather, tried to get us to drink responsibly. Not demonizing alcohol as this bad thing, but rather as something that has both the positive and negative sides. This was to a bunch of 16/17 year olds. (Some may have been 15, and one I know was definately 18, but it's the way the school system is). This is probably the best I can think of at this moment. And may I ask, who was this Aussie you were referring to? Surely if you wanted a reply from them, it would be best to make the effort to find the person, and pm them your thoughts. I agree with everything you have said except 2 lines 1) "those who drink responsibly vastly outnumber those who do not." Maybe they outnumber them but it is by no means vast. 2) "yet you continue to ignore" I might not show it on here but that is wrong.
  5. family guy!
  6. A tattoo is a scar with ink in it. What's wrong with that? As long as you make sure it doesn't infect and avoid the other risks, you're good. Don't ask me why I don't start cutting my arm to get cool scars, scars aren't cool. And by the way, to post an image, go to http://tinypic.com/ , choose your file, hit "upload now!" and copy the text in the second yellow box, and paste it in your post. Nothing wrong with that, I am just saying how it damages your body lol In africa tribes people use a knife cut the skin and rub ash in to the wound. http://www.uihealthcare.com/depts/medmu ... arBack.jpg
  7. South of falador hit the red wizard for akf - esk training
  8. Yes, but you're also someone with not as much faith as him. If he has faith in God then he has faith that God was the creator of everything and the ultimate decider. His decisions about looking both ways would not affect God's decisions. I wasn't talking to him, I was talking to you. I find it funny you are still only quoting me  People can belive what they like, for what ever reason they choose to. It isn't going to effect me so go for gold :)
  9. I was saying it wasn't a good choice. You don't know where the meteor will hit, so running would be just as futile as standing. And in the case of God, you can't label precautions as working against his will. If that were true, any action you do can be "working against God's will". Plus, I'm not a Christian but I'm pretty sure it's impossible for a human to ruin God's plans anyways. Whether someone looked both ways or not, they would still be following God's plan. You can belive what you like but I don't want my life to be me just going through the motions that some body has set out for me to follow. I don't belive in destiny, karma, fate or the after life. I belive this is it, that this isn't just a test to decide if I burn or stare at angels or that I am doing what some higher being has laid out for me
  10. A tattoo is a scar with ink in it. Btw I have an almost full sleeve of just tribal stuff, I know it is a really common tattoo (mine is 90% free hand though). I started when I was 18 and I am 20 now (I was meant to have it done in 1 year but becoming homless kind of put my tattoo on the back burner lol). I would put a pic up if I knew how  Call me an idiot if you want but some people drink, some people so drugs, some people die without doing anything, my drug is tattoo's ;)
  11. I don't think any body should go to war for any reason except to stop a dictator rolling into another country hitler style, tehre are plenty of ways to go about things than killing people.
  12. I guessed at 10, seemed like a nice round number. I would have done it myself but you wouldn't had belived I had said it. I may understand that doesn't mean I agree.
  13. In my opinion it was a way to control the masses without being questioned, and anyone that did question it was ridiculed. According to a tv programme called QI claims that enoch is oldest person ever the bible says "that god took him" I know the feeling of having a differing opinion and being ridiculed for it, who knows what I am talking about  I know you're probably just going to think I'm having a jab at you due to the other thread, but I would be saying this to anyone. It might have been god's plan to make you want to look both ways. It's impossible to know what god's plan is at all, so the only thing you could do is live your life as normal. That's like saying a meteor is going to hit earth and even though you don't know where, you should still run away from where you're standing anyways. Good choice, your twice as likly to get hit by an asteroid then lightning. Ok, you can't test him, you can't ask for evidence, you can't say his name in vein, you can't make a statue of him. For some body who claims to have made the earth in 6 days, he is very secretive. Did you know according to the bible there is a guy who has never died, called Enoch. Thought you might like a biblical fact : (got a few more if you like) Yeah, there was also a guy who parted giant rivers, there was a river of blood, a talking snake, and a fully grown woman was crafted out of a few small organs. Also, a guy came back from the dead. Also, all of the animals and plants didn't evolve, they just popped up in one day. Billions of people, including me, are crazy enough to believe that. Thousands of people have died in wars defending that against the stories of other religions. All I can say is that the religion itself says to take it on faith and believe it. I almost feel like i'm against Christianity, even though i'm for it. I was brought up on your side of the fence but crossed the line to non-believer, so I know some of the claims the bible makes. I also know that sunday school lied to me about noah and his little boat (yes, I know it is an ark) they never went on two by two! Read genesis 7: 2. When I read your post before I posted I thought you were against religion. I am cos all it seems to do is cause wars and it has no logic to it (not just in the bible, why does god need money?). I can see why people want a religion though to comfort them and make there kids behave :twss:
  14. Throwing in the word alcohol doesn't make it on topic. You stressed how much you wanted reasons and when given them, you ignored them. And in this post, you still choose to stay as off topic as you can because the more on topic we get, the more people see how your actual argument fails. I don't see anything about the initial discussion in your post. I'll bring it back up though since you are never going to: 1.) Alcohol can have many benefits to drinking it, as long as you are responsible. It is fun, helps you relax, helps you be more open, friendly, generous, and it puts you into a different state of mind so you might come up with new ideas or new methods of doing things. I have many memorable nights thanks to alcohol, and so do many others. Your argument seems to be suggesting that people like alcohol and buy it for absolutely no reason. There are many positive things about alcohol, which is why it's so popular and in high demand. 2.) Drinking alcohol is just as "idiotic" as playing video games or sports. There are always risks involved, but it is up to the user to decide what is worth the money and risk - not you. Don't be a dictator. If you ignore the fact that sports, video games, roller coasters, and cars have potential risks then you are just forming a double standard to suit your argument. 3.) Many intelligent men have gotten drunk before. Getting drunk isn't an activity that only [developmentally delayed] engage in, like what you suggested. There are millions of people with an IQ over 25 who have gotten drunk before. But of course you are probably going to think of some way to justify ignoring all of those points with that beautiful logic of yours. Can't wait to see what you come up with this time. Oh I see, In order for me to have read something I have to comment about. I get it now! I have read these points as many times as you have (or any body else has) posted them but my life doesn't revolve around this thread and I am human so I can forget things. Wow, you're honestly saying I never gave reasons for opposing your views? Just do yourself a favor and search the words "video games" and "sports" in this thread. It's surprising how you missed them every single time I posted them, which was probably at least 10. ^ says it all. Twice? Now I'm starting to think you are just reading a sentence or two then posting your reply. You conveniently didn't see the reasons of why alcohol can be good, you conveniently didn't see the reasons of why saying alcohol is for idiots is such a stupid statement, and now you conveniently didn't see me telling you how off topic your points are and how you should at least speak about things pertaining to the matter at hand. Same point made 3 times in 1 post, your out doing yourself now, well done. Gold star. Agreeing to disagree still has the word disagree in it. I think your definition of it is for me to stop posting and let you have the last word... that's not what it means though. no, really I thought the phrase "agree to disagree" was agree to agree, silly me! No, my definition of it is as soon as you say that I wont post again unless the aussie says something to me. Not all about you, ya know!
  15. Ok, you can't test him, you can't ask for evidence, you can't say his name in vein, you can't make a statue of him. For some body who claims to have made the earth in 6 days, he is very secretive. Did you know according to the bible there is a guy who has never died, called Enoch. Thought you might like a biblical fact : (got a few more if you like)
  16. Go to page 10. Press ctrl and then f. Type in "understand". Click next. If it highlights something read that sentence. Click next again. If something comes up read it. When something doesn't come up go to the next page and repeat this process. When you get back to this page tell me how wrong you were (about how I have I understand some, maybe not all, of the things alcohol does). I will expect a post from you soon, toodles.
  17. Thats not justification, its circular logic. If Everyone should believe in Christianity because a lot of people believe in it, then there shouldn't be any christians in the first place. People should believe in whatever religion because they actually have faith in it; faith is useless if its not actually faith. That's why i said that the argument had about ten million holes in the very next sentence that you deliberately deleted. Christianity itself says that there are no facts behind God, and that it is a sin to ask for any, and that you just have to believe it. Atheists say that there is no proof, but Christianity says that there is no proof too. The fact that billions of people have accepted that does not justify it or prove it, but it is important to mention. I have already said that I cannot win this argument, because I am arguing in favor of something that has no basis in facts and makes no logical sense. God is just something that me and billions of others have faith in. You could say that god doesn't show himself, that he never uses his powers to intervene, that there it has been proven that the earth is older than the bible says it is, that it has been proven that the earth came to be how it is over millions of years and not just seven days, and my only response to all of that is that billions of people still believe it anyway, and that the faith that it happened and that god is real is all that Christianity requires. In short what you are saying is, there is not 1 logical reason that any body would choose to belive in god and because (or in spite) of this you belive in god? Fair enough. As a person with an obvious unshakable faith in god can I ask you question? (well to save time I am going to ask them and then you can choose to answer) I have already asked this to some body and he couldn't answer me, hopefully you can. You obviously trust and have complete faith in god due to your above statement, so you belive god has a plan for every body. So do you look both ways before you cross the road? If you do your faith cannot be that strong cos your are messing with god's plan. If you don't, I am surprised you havn't been hit! Yes, that question is taken from a tv programme but it is a good one, I think.
  18. Like I said, SSJ and I were at least attempting to be on topic, but you completely ignored any relevant point we made. I mentioned alcohol ... Yeah... making a paragraph like that had a much better point to it, right? Yeah, its was a fact, that is all we have been doing. You don't give counterarguments though. You just skip the arguments I made and ramble on about how stupid I am and how pointless this discussion is. We provided you with beneficial results that come from alcohol. Instead of trying to disprove them or do anything with them at all, you just go into tangent mode. Even though I still disagree with the other people on this thread, at least they gave some reasons as to why alcohol is worse than video games and such, but all you have been doing is... Yeah, I don't even know what the hell you are doing at this point. I think since you failed at the initial argument you just keep creating new ones out of thin air to "even the score" so to speak. How the tables have turned read the 1st few pages of when I started posting seriously on this thread that is all I got but now I am doing what you did. All you were doing was going on and on about how wrong I was (in your opinion) you never gave anything to oppose my views just that you did. Yes, prove how drinking alcohol makes you an idiot. I've been asking you to do this for quite a long time now. Twice. Previous to that I was telling you but you refused to accept my views as being my views wereas I accepted you had your views and I had mine. We aren't close, we just happen to agree with each other. Of course you are going to say that to make it appear like we're friends that are just ganging up on you, but in reality we're just a few strangers that have come to the unanimous decision that you are hurting yourself more than you are defending yourself. No, I kind of assumed you don't know each other since the other guy lives in aus and there are plenty of other countries so my assuming your not aussie is just a numbers game, I could be wrong how ever. See what I mean about I can still argue. I say I am bored of going round in circles cos I am. If I had no points left to make I would say that but since you keep saying the same things I will carry on saying the same things right back at you. Which kind of makes you a lier, you keep saying that you are willing to agree to disagree but you keep arguing instead of just posting a one liner saying ok we agree to disagree, then it will be over.
  19. Don't you mean hanged, drawn and quartered? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hung_drawn_and_quartered I think it is Multiple sclerosis. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiple_sclerosis Read the "Signs and symptoms", acute or chronic pain I think means all over.
  20. So you agree the last few pages of posts are just spam but when I make a comment that is also spam but with very little to with alcohol, it is worse? :| There was a point to it but you never saw it, go back and read it again. I could very easily go and quote all of your points put my opinions underneath then you do the same then I do the same then you do the same then I do the same then you do the same then I do the same then you do the same then I do the same then you do the same then I do the same then you do the same then I do the same then you do the same then I do the same then you do the same then I do the same then you do the same then I do the same then you do the same then I do the same then you do the same then I do the same then you do the same then I do the same so on and so forth like the other 10 pages (I am guessing) so what is the point? I havn't run out of arguments cos you havn't run out of arguments. As long as your are clinging on to the same arguments I will cling to my arguments, like we have done for the last 10 pages (again, I am guessing). Would you like me to prove my point and go and quote them all? Cos I will. Btw I think it is adorable that you two are so close "I totaly agree with everything he says", "he is totaly correct", "everything he says is true". Awww, so nice, good for you two!
  21. You might find this a hard concept to understand but I want you to try, really, really hard for me mmmkay? Ok, here we go. I was busy ... So here we go with the argument side. I am bored of your lame reasoning, arguments, the word alcohol, what alcohol is, of it being in my face, people who drink alcohol (more than once a month, yes, I have put a time on it), of hearing about it, reading about it, thinking about it. So because of this huge amount of bordem I will start to be more blunt and you will come out with the same boring insults you have been hurling at me so many times before that, as I said before, will not effect me cos you don't matter to me. I could carry on posting why I dont drink or why I think others shouldn't drink and you could carry on posting why you do drink and why I should drink but I think after 45 posts and how ever many posts from any of you we have gone over every point with a fine tooth comb, even things that have nothing to do with alcohol has been debated. All that plus the fact that ultimately everything we do is pointless makes this pointless. The FACTS are no matter what you say you will never get me to change as no matter what I say will not change anything you do. Given that I have just said all that shall we agree to disagree? Instead of childishly saying "I already have [insert usless pathetic insult here]". Speaking of childish pathetic insults is this "You do know you're insulting yourself more than me, right?" an ever so slightly more mature version of saying "I am rubber you are glue" That says alot about you.
  23. I'm not arguing with you but how did you arrive at the total of 7%? It seems like an odd number, like you worked something out. I didn't work it out, someone else did. There's a chart that shows this Blue is f2p, red is p2p, as shown at the bottom. sweet, good find! Wonder what made the revenue generated by f2p go down? [/hide] Wasn' t membership price hightened somewhere around then? Subscriptions should bring in alot more money, thus we get the change. Weren't membership prices increased in 2008? If I remember correctly. Not for me it has always been £3.50
  24. Remember what you said were stuck in an infinite loop so anything I do say is pointless, especially since you can quote other people and still have a go at me, I am kind of the third man  Another reminder I have been taking the mick out of this thread for some time now.
  25. I should remind myself not to enter in to a battle of wits when my opponent isn't armed. I still don't get it. I didn't believe you because all my life I never knew about interior nostrils until today. Now I believe you though. Are you trying to make a parallel between this and our debate? Never mind ..... It was an attempt to lighten the mood, clearly failed. Yeah, to someone who hates alcohol and never got drunk, of course you're going to say it "seems unlikely". When you are in a different state of mind, your brain works a little differently and you are going to think differently. No **** sherlock. And you might say having alcohol make you be more open is sad, but I say the exact opposite. If you should "only want to be yourself" then you're pretty much saying you should stay the same old person your entire life and never change. It's more sad to want to stay shy if you ask me. It is sad to me to need alcohol to pluck up the courage to be open. How are you running away? The problem will still be there after you turn sober - I'm pretty sure most people know that even when they're drunk. Cos you are delaying facing the problem. As for improving nights, yeah sometimes the night does go bad because of alcohol. But more often than not, it goes good, hence the enormous demand for it. can't comment. Not a lot? I'm an idiot because I drink and ask you a question, but when people call you one for real reasons (I can list them if you want but I'm pretty sure you would just complain about that) you just deny it and say "not a lot"? Oops, I used a question mark. I'm such an idiot. Your definition of idiot is the most idiotic I have ever heard. Real reasons ... omg, just no. How funny -.- Doesn't work over the interweb since you can go back and change what you typed, idiot ;) Since you showed signs that you are not budging and since I'm obviously not going to call myself an idiot for a stupid reason. I would call myself an idiot for numerous other reasons, but drinking is definitely not one of them. To me an idiot is an idiot, no matter the reason. So you call yourself an idiot but no body else can? Is it just me or has the word "idiot" lost all meaning. Arguing with you is like doing this :wall: for an hour, it seems to go on forever, makes you sore and you don't get very far except the ability to get your IQ low enough to be on par with you. My definition of idiot is a person of the lowest order in a former classification of mental [developmentally delayed]ation, having a mental age of less than three years old and an IQ under 25. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/idiot
