  1. Thats an odd thing to say since bandos is 30 mil (ish) and dragon is 25 mil (ish)
  2. If I had said that I would have been ripped apart, I said "peoples lives revolved around alochol" then later I said "that was an exaggeration" to which some body posted a comment saying something like "why did you do that it makes you argument look weak!" It's a good book, isn't it :) Anyhoo, the page number is 195. Some of the things I have said is in there, others are from tv. :
  3. THIS IS EXACTLY WHY EVERYONE THINKS YOU'RE BEING IGNORANT. If I, a drinker, can see that there is a bad side to drinking, then you, a non-drinker, should be able to see that there is a good side to drinking, if only in moderation. I'll tell you what I'm going to do. I'm going to inform you that I'm not drinking right now, experiencing the other side. In fact most other people replying to your "opinions" (because good god they are not facts) are sober more often than not. Nobody claimed to know everything about alcohol. Far from it. But we can assume most of what you're saying is bull[cabbage] because you haven't sourced a single thing. We're not throwing up facts left right and centre, we're saying our opinions on alcohol rather than coming up with crap like "When you drink alcohol it makes your brain grow more slowly" etc. I used to drink diluted wine as a child. By the age of ten I'd've had at least a bottle over the course of my life. Which is enough to get people drunk. Possibly even two people (lightweights...) So what you said is a bit pointless really. The thing that was being brought up there was that you categorised alcohol as one thing when there are many, many different ways to drink it. There are so many thousands of different cocktails and different types of beer, wine etc that you can't just say "I don't like alcoholic drinks" whereas Nadril not liking strawberries is just not liking one flavour so that's fine. And you disliking fish is fine because of the texture and they tend to taste pretty similar. Unlike alcoholic drinks. But you clearly are. My first quote shows that. "There is no other side" I don't think you even seem to really understand what we're trying to tell you. Also, we can't really understand what you're trying to tell us, because you seem to type your entire trail of thought and then hit submit... Read over what you've put before posting to make sure everything makes sense Which I have admitted to, multiple times. I am not suggesting that people are drunk 24/7. I mean don't drink for a month or 2 not monday till friday night. I have sourced alot of things I have said I even named the book, the author, were you can buy the book, a website with the book on and how much it is. Seriously go out and buy/ loan that book, come back and we can talk about it. I said that cos another person said I had only sipped vodka, which is false. yeah, there are 1,000's of wines, beers, cocktails etc but of the 1's I have tried i only like 1. "The other side" is what I discribed, "fun, relaxing etc" I have said that a few times. Infact I have said alot of things a few times, which clearly have been over looked. Yeah, I have an annoying habit of doing that when I am speaking, typing texting etc. It is just the way I am. Sorry. Now please read the 1st page of this thread. I have basically said the same things just in a more direct way, some people said: ,
  4. I'm not arguing with you but how did you arrive at the total of 7%? It seems like an odd number, like you worked something out. I didn't work it out, someone else did. There's a chart that shows this Blue is f2p, red is p2p, as shown at the bottom. sweet, good find!
  5. Not only do you not know who his friends are but you don't know their experiences. And yes, I would consider someone to be quite knowledgeable if they took part of the act or consumed it. Your example is stupid because clearly those kids don't actually know what sex is. However I would consider a person who has had sex to probably know a decent bit about how you can get pregnant. It all comes with experience, and in all honesty you're shooting yourself in the foot here because you really haven't experienced alcohol (other than a sip of vodka). It's more of the fact that just because you think it tastes like crap doesn't mean other people hate it. I dislike the taste of strawberries, but this doesn't mean that anyone who eats them are stupid because they taste bad. And anyways alcohol is a refined taste after a while. source please. You're just making up [cabbage] now, including this entire iq less than 25 bullcrap which doesn't even have any meaning on this thread. Still you're going into some really stupid territory by saying that anyone who drinks alcohol is going to become mentally retarded. You have only seen one side of the story, that's the entire point. I don't care if you have drank a little bit of vodka before or not, you haven't actually experienced anything other than the bad side of alcohol. What the hell do you want us to do? Get violent and aggressive? Drive drunk? We aren't just going to be able to experience something like that and I certainly don't ever want to. First of all, that isn't what irony is. You also are getting worse by the moment, do you really think we don't know what ignorance is? You're living in it right now. Just because at a future date you are going to go out and drink doesn't mean that you don't lack the knowledge pertaining to alcohol now, which is the part that matters. Sigh. :wall: If you had been reading all of my post you will know that I have sat down with friends and had a drink ... on more than one occasion. Sorry, but just cos you have been drunk a few times does not mean you now everything about alcohol, that is a stupid thing to say. Do people who have smoked 30 or 40 years know every thing about cigarettes? They don't have a clue! I know the comparison of chilren talking about sex and alcohol is an extremely loose one but that was the point, I am trying in vein to lighten the mood in this aggresive thread. I have drunk much more than a sip of vodka, let me put it like this I have drunk wnough over the years to get most people drunk. I am not trying to force my opinion on any body, you don't like strawberries and thats ok, thats all some body had to say to me and it was over but no I say it tastes like crap and people are up in arms like I just shot there cat! I know people have differing tastes, I hate all fish food and alot of people love it ... I can cope with that. "the genral book of ignorance" by steven fry, it was £5 from HMV! Or go to faber.co.uk it should be there. and http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/idiot .The meaning of idiot. I have experianced the so called good side, I have been to parties were people were drunk and I have seen people laughing, falling over ... the works. I want you to get off my back about being ignorant to alcohol when I am clearly not. Granted I know it wasn't you who said it but you asked. On the flip side of my first small paragraph you don't to experiance something to know about it. I know about alot of things but I hanv't experianced them. 30th post on this thread alone  :D ... pitty I am doing this :wall: at the same time.
  6. I'm not arguing with you but how did you arrive at the total of 7%? It seems like an odd number, like you worked something out.
  7. We're debating why can't adults drink. You're simply saying random facts and statements. Based on my history and the history of my friends. Of whom I can go to them for advice. Yes. If you can actually go in-depth on what it was then yes, you can. But you're saying it tastes like crap, without any specific is just pointless. Then why say such statements? Why exaggerate? It's making only making your argument which is already weak, more weak. Don't even get what you said here. Either re-word your sentence or think before posting. But it doesn't matter anyways, because the matter of the fact is, you still believe everyone who drinks is an idiot. You acted like everyone in your town was a drunk. Be more specific, or I'm simply going to say once again, you're only looking for what you want to see. Our intention is not to attack you. Our intention is debate. Yes, I don't. So it will be a No. It's been a while. On rare occasions. It still seems your ignorant, as your statements/arguments have shown. (my 29th post on this thread  ) No, I gave my opinoin on it then was targeted because I think differently from every body else here. So your friends who drink alcohol are experts on it cos they drink it? have you heard kids saying to each other you can get pregnant if you kiss, does that make that true? Just because 1 of your mates tells you something doesn't mean it is true. You want me to describe more in depth what crap tastes like? It tastes awful, bitter, strong ... is that enough? Maybe it is just me cos I can't tell the difference between carling and fosters and all the other kinds. If you try something and you don't like it you will say it tastes like crap every body knows you think it tastes like crap but I say it tastes like crap and you want more info on it :? When you drink alcohol it makes your brain grow more slowly, in other words it is held back which is the definition of mentaly r.e.t.a.r.d.e.d. so calling you an idiot is just a slight stretch of the imagination since an idiot is some body with an iq less than 25, so I have read anyway. How do you want me to be more specific? And I will try to be. I can only say what I see, do you want me to knock on people's homes and say "hi, are you drinking any amount of alcohol tonight?" If I walk down the street to town and back again I will see people in the park and in bus stops drinking things like white lightining (very cheap cider). What more do you want? If you read from just a few pages ago there has been no debate, I am not 100% sure but I think every single person has quoted me so there isn't a disscusion its just talking at me. Wow, I am a psychic  I am going to drink on the 1st of november 09 and I am still ignorant! I am doing more than you are in this debate. Instead of just sitting on 1 side I am going to experiance the other side by drinking, what are you going to do? Do you even know what that word means, ignorant? (the irony, if you don't!) incase you don't: it means lacking in knowledge, I have proven I am not ignorant and I am going to take it 1 step further and drink. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT!? Sorry, for going round the word filter but I wasn't calling any body a r.e.t.a.r.d, I was stating that thats what happens to your brain when you drink.
  8. There is an other side. Those who haven't become broke, those who don't end up smelling like booze, and those who get over hangovers quick and easy. My dad has been drunk and the next day he: wasn't broke, not even close, didn't smell of booze, but rather smoke from them lighting a fire, he wasn't hungover, or it didn't bother him, he was even cleaning up from the party as it was his 50th party. The dog spent the day sleeping as he had been given beer the night before. Every time I have drunk with people in been around people who are drinking I can always smell the alcohol on there breath and clothes. I said you end up broke, not you have a few drinks and all of a sudden you have no money what so ever. Btw I see people keep using italics so weather it's my pc or my eyes (I wear glasses) I can't see the italics so using them is a waste of time tbh. I think the effects of alcohol doesn't justify the good point(s), more con's then pro's, etc. etc. This is why you have to defend yourself. Your problem is that you refuse to see any arguments but your own...which are biased and based on "documentaries" and after school specials and what have you (which aren't a real source unless you provide the name ;)). As to the topic, drinking is good. In moderation. Oh, and I've never seen any of what you describe...since I haven't seen it, is it invalid? Think on it. Is there any more that I need to see? You get drunk "you have a good time, you relax, you enjoy yourself more" blah blah blah I have seen that side of the argument. I put those points in speach marks cos it is a matter of opinion. You are a hypocrite since your saying the exact same thing over and over again dispite what I have typed. I could write a story about pigs and you would probably not read it and type "that's biased and ignorant." You all (as in people who talking to me) seem to spend more time attacking me than trying to argue your side of the debate/discussion/argument (whatever you want to call it). The only thing I have heard on your side is alcohol helps you have a good time and relaxes you, the rest is spent calling me whatever and about my problems (how biased I am or ignorant blah blah blah). Think on it! Were do you get your infomation from about certain things? Go and talk to experts? No, you probably watch tv or read books, both of which I have done, which is why I can say I know what a hang over is, I know how you can drink beer from a bottle, I know that alocohol doesn't kill brain cells and more. Drinking in moderation maybe good but how many teenagers drink in moderation? Infact how many adults do? I know it's going to be alot less than teenagers but its still going to be alot. Theres about 6.8 billion people in the world, do you think there are more drinkers than non drinkers? I put money on it only being about 20% of the worlds population are non drinkers.
  9. Binge drinking is classed as 3 pints cos it was on a documentary. I know why I have been attacked by them .... cos I am attacking something they like but instead of saying "ok, you don't like it but we do" it has been dragged across about 3 pages (thats a guess). How does that work? I am ignorant cos I don't drink alcohol? So cos I don't do something I know nothing about it? Does that mean because you drink you know everything about it? Maybe I know more than you do about it and I am telling you the infomation but because i am attacking something you like you don't want to take that infomation on cos you don't want it to effect your view of alcohol. Maybe instead of making my brain grow slower by drinking alcohol I have read about it and watched a few programmes about it while you sat around downing pint after pint. You're not ignorant because you don't drink, you are ignorant because you only have looked at 1 side. Do you think you're the only one that has seen those videos? I have seen plenty, I know people get hospitalised because of it. (Drunks thrown their empty beer bottles at me because I didn't want to sit and get drunk with them, they missed luckily.) I know that alcohol affects your body in a negative way, many things that you eat and drink do it too. Just because it may hurt you doesn't mean that people should stop it. It's Aus, what do you expect? I don't know any teens outside of my immediate family who haven't been drunk on several weekends, all underaged. What does that mean? "It's Aus, what do you expect?" Do you think aussies are more aggersive when there drunk then other countries? No, it's just more of a thing to do on a weekend in Australia. There are places where whole towns will live off welfare and drink all the time. It's just Australian culture to get drunk. There is no other side, all of that which I have said happens, you mess your body up a bit, you end up broke, smelling of booze, feel like crap in the morning and all the other stuff in return for fun and relaxation or in my case violence and aggression ( I may not have been drunk but I have been tipsy).
  10. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? A bad thing definately. The flipside would be that a level 59(Defence) would have the same capacity(0) to dodge dragon weapons as a level 1. There by meaning the game would be entirely unbalanced. Plus it would make wearing armour pointless...if you can dodge weapons then why wear the armour? The only way I can imagine this working would be a percentage dodge. Level 10: You can now dodge 5% of the time. Level 20: You can now dodge 10% of the time. Level 99: You can now dodge 50% of the time. Then give armours the ability to deflect damage, but reduce your dodge bonus by the number of Kg they are...But then you have to take into account a 99, with a cape, using prayer and pots 100+25%+15%. You would have someone who could run around in mage robes and boots of lightness with a 70% chance to dodge every attack. That is hardly a reasonable version of the game, now is it? You forgot spotted cape and penance gloves  It would make mages live longer, which they kind of need since they are wearing cloth. I prefer the classic way though, heavy armour means less damage, cloth armour means more damage. If other games like the ones I listed can do it then runescape should be no different. I know business have to have U.S.P's but somethings have to be the same.
  11. What the hell are you on about? I never said it was hard, I said it seems to much effort (or words to that effect). How can I say it is hard when I have never even done any of the rooms before? (well before I posted this, I tried yesterday). Your last line doesn't make any sense but I assume you mean If I think it is hard then I suck badly, well I don't think its hard, not even close to hard, I think its boring as hell! I do the catapult thing and I can watch tv at the same time then I can take the cyclops down in a few hits, whats so hard about that? If you are going to insult me atleast be accurate.
  12. Binge drinking is classed as 3 pints cos it was on a documentary. I know why I have been attacked by them .... cos I am attacking something they like but instead of saying "ok, you don't like it but we do" it has been dragged across about 3 pages (thats a guess). Do you think aussies are more aggersive when there drunk then other countries?
  13. This was the first thing that came to mind on that: "Congratulations! your dodging level is now 60! You can now dodge Dragon weapons! ....Oh and wear Dragon Armor, but You can dodge Dragon weapons man!" Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
  14. Not sure, some body handed it to me and when I said whats in it he said vodka, I am not sure what straight vodka tastes like so I couldn't tell you. My point exactly, but how do you say I think its stupid without saying it is stupid? No matter how you dress it up your still saying the same thing but when you dress something up it becomes complex so I like to be blunt so every body knows were every body stands : I don't try to offend but sometimes I do. How many teens drink responsibly at the weekend? If they drink they will get wasted, by peer pressure or wanting to fit in or they enjoy it. Anyway you cut it they will get wasted. I wonder how many pages I have been defending myself from this on slaught of pro alcohol people? :boohoo:
  15. I'm not complaining about you giving your opinion. I'm just giving mine, which doesn't agree with yours. You can't measure alcohol consumption that universally. Everybody has different body types, tolerances, health problems, and alcohol comes in many different containers and has varying alcohol percentages. So there is no official definition of "responsible drinking". I would say that as long as you have self-control after drinking, don't drive, and don't do it everyday then you're a responsible drinker. And...? There are other ways to have fun than football, video games, skateboarding, and riding roller coasters too. What's your point? Fair enough. I never measured alcohol, some geeky bofins did, I am simply posting that info here. My point is you can have fun the ways you listen and more without alcohol, so why buy alcohol? Couldn't that money serve a better purpose? Some body said before £12 for a 1ltr bottle of smirnoff or something, thats more than what I buy food with a week! Spent on something that will last 2 days? (not necessarily consecutively, of course)
  16. Offense is the best defense. I'm pretty sure we're all just defending drinking. Nobody is saying you're wrong for not drinking - just that you're wrong for looking down on people who drink. You think I should start calling people to win an argument about alcohol? I hanv't drunk all of them your right but I have drunk guiness (which I quite like) fosters, carling etc etc etc vodka, cider/scrumpy. So dispite not drinking to the level alot of you do I have drunk a fair few alcoholic drinks and all of them with that 1 exception taste like crap. Sorry Calling some body an idiot isn't exactly high up on the list of most offensive insults. Like I said before some body asked my opinion so I wasn't going to patronize him and tell him anything other than the truth, mainly cos I didn't think he was going to break down and cry (not suggesting any body would). As I have said before (which no body has quoted, I wonder why?) I have no problem having the occasional drink, it's meant to be good for your heart actually. I looked down on people (as some body so nicely put it) who drink every weekend starting at friday 10 pm, who sit alone at home with a bottle or can, who go out drinking on a work night (especially when they have a family to support)
  17. Of course there are. I don't consider his post respectful either, but coming from someone who just said that everyone who drinks is an idiot, it doesn't hold much weight. Also, what does asking for opinions have to do with anything? We're on a forum. People are going to speak their mind whether you ask for them or not. Yes, and those risks are increased if you stand on them or put your arms and legs outside of the roller coaster. If you ride responsibly, there still might be a risk but much much smaller. The same can be said with responsible drinking. I know, but neither is joining the football team. People risk things for fun all the time. Life isn't just about avoiding every risk that comes your way while giving up fun and it's not just about having fun while totally ignoring those risks. It should be a balance of both. You ask for my opinion then complain when I give it to you, I can't win! how many people drink responsably? Resposably is classed as 1 unit, binge drinking is classed as 3 pints! how many times have you or any body else said "right, I have had 1 beer I am not having another cos I want to drink responsably" You may drink 1 but you don't have another due to other reasons. How many of you have said after 3 beers "I can't drink any more cos I have already drunk more than I am allowed to in a week" (1 beer is more than 1 unit, in the uk anyway). There is a famous quote that I quite like "The only danger in life is taking to many precautions" I agree you only live once and live it as best you can, having as much fun as possible but there are other ways to do that than alcohol.
  18. From my view, everyone who drinks. Yes, it can when you're civil about it. Bashing in the sense, that you're saying negative things of people who drink. While at the same time appearing like you're ignorant in the subject. When you're saying stuff like this: Or Or even Get it? I guess not. :wall: C'mon now. Seriously? *faceplam* I bet they're drinking in the library too right? And it's a marketing strategy, while them also needing an adult for them to sell it by the way. That you're not looking too hard enough. You're only looking for what you want to see. (I can see this being another late nite) I try to be civil but read whats been thrown at me aswell, its a bit biased since I am 1 of about 2 on this entire thread that doesn't drink. Your an expert on drink cos you drink it? I am not allowed to think it tastes like crap? Some people don't like somethings now they cannot voice there opinion on it? :? People have alcohol with everything and people also over exaggerate (me saying peoples lives revolve around it, for example) What is to get? It does cos alot and not just to buy the alcohol but to clean up the effects of it. You convieniantly cut out of that quote were I said "I didn't mean for it to sound harsh." nicely done. =D> "That you're not looking too hard enough"? If I see a group of people drinking in those places what else am I meant to see? Except a group of people drinking in them places? Jesus, am I being attacked for not liking alcohol or what! I bet if I asked, do you think you drink to much? It would be a resounding "no" Can I ask how often do you all drink? Last time I drunk was 1st of november 07. I plan on having an alcoholic drink on the 1st of november 09. :
  19. No, but I never asked for his opinion and there are better ways to go about it than: I just noticed this so let me comment on it: Actually the chances of dieing on a rollercoster are incredibly slim, due to there nature of going fast at relatively high altitude they are tested and examined regularly to make sure there safe. They can't exactly let them fly round like that year after year hoping that they will be ok, especially with health and safety getting ever more silly. I agree there are dangers everywere but being drunk isn't exactly helpping yourself avoid them. You have to agree that you are less likly to do the things you do drunk than you do sobre, this maybe for good like 1 person said before about him asking his girl friend out but who hasn't heard of some body waking up next to some body who they don't find attractive? Would they have slept with that person if they were sobre? No, they wouldn't. It is a fact that people lose the inhibitions when there drunk so you are more prone to act badly, such as fighting, throwing up in the street, taking some random person home dispite not even knowing there name, whizzing in the street, getting thrown in jail for drunk and disorderly and I am sure many of you can name worse things than I can. (I am not saying this happens all the time or anything) For what? A headache, in a state, no money, stinking of booze and about 6 hours of fun? To me It's not worth it, even it does go all swimmingly. As you can probably all tell I am a little bit paranoid aswell as a few other things :D
  20. I think it is being respectful, would you rather me lie to you and say "no, I think its awesome that you drink and your a very clever person for doing so" or would you rather I not patronize you and tell you my honest opinion? Cos I don't lie. If I ask some body a question I want an honest answer, not to be treated like a child. Being called an idiot and a stupid person is the same thing, like being called a human and an omnivore.
  21. I post and be respectful that some people are different and you come and post like some knuckle dragging chav and start insulting me like I got a sign on my forehead inviting you to do so, WTF! :x If you don't like something I have said ignore it. Whats the old saying "if you don't have something nice to say don't say it" Some body asked my opinion, see: so I gave it to them but cos you don't like it you decide I am an idiot for thinking differently to you? It's cheaper than water. -.- Not if you turn a tap
  22. In my opinion, yes. You are paying for an over priced liquid that poisons your body, messes around with your brain and other organs, puts you at certain risks that you would other wise avoid and makes you feel like crap the next morning (except those very special people among us who claim they never get hangovers). All in the persuit of fun. I think its odd price to pay to have fun. As I have said before how ever it is your life to lead how you like.
  23. perfetc replied to Outsanity's topic in Rants
I know he was being rude but you did antagonize him by pm-ing him.
  24. so ive been told 10 million times, but i think these are good? That isn't a question lol. I prefer doing monkey guards then skeletons, the exp isn't as good but it is easier. ima stick to dags. if some of u people were smart u would see my stats in my sig that i cant eve come close to doing defender of varrock. What does defender of varrock have to do with ape atoll?
  25. perfetc replied to JAMjE's topic in Rants
Non honorable pking doesn't get kills, seriously ive tried it before, i used to safe, pray and do whatever the hell i wanted to stay alive, but eventually i noticed everyone just ran, or safed themselves, and i never actually got any kills. I have seen it done, while I went for a (non item) wander through a pvp world. (I just wanted to read the book, to be honest)
