I don't pk but my thought is: I'd rather be the 1 stood over my oppositions corpse having used every advantage I could to win rather than being spawned somewere with nothing cos I wanted to be "honorable". Who thinks yeah, I lost, I am poorer and the other guy is laughing to the bank but gosh darnit im proud I was honorable! I bet your a little angry that you lost. Its a game there is no honor, this isn't real life in med-evil warfare like the 300 or something its a game ... if you can have an advantage use it.

Maybe so but its pure effort to get 1. The str bonus doesn't mean a thing to me, seriously it could be +1 or +100 It wouldn't make it any more desirable to me. The attack bonuses on the other hand make me think about doing it. How long (roughly) does it take.

If they made it so Godswords (with a 90 att 90 str req) hit on armour like they do now and had implemented the armour change from the start, I agree it would have been awesome. But it's too late now, nobody would accept them changes. Ofcourse they would, people rant a bit then most of them move on, that' s how it has always been. Hell, if Jagex got away with changing the Wilderness, "free" trade and so on then this shouldn' t be a problem. A solution even. The combat triange might get better with such an overhaul. Jagex can do what they like when they like it's there game we choose to play it, yes people with less then 90 stats will be unbelievably outraged that there fav weapon that they payed millions for will be uselss to them. It says on tip.it's database that its the ultimate weapon (I assume thats the examine of them) its crazy that we can use the ultimate weapons at the 70's. I bet if I made a new character today and trained 6 hours a day I could have the stats to use a godsword in less than a month, the 70's isn't that high!

Neither is okay, but I'm sure that the second would be harder to prove, since there would probably be more computer interaction. It amazes me how many people think bending the rules is part of the rules. I'm not saying you, but just in general. Every body does it and jagex know's they do. That rule is to stop people leaving a wieght on there key board or something and going to sleep, so they get exp without doing anything.

I think theres 2 types of AFK. Theres the "I can't even see the pc" kind of AFK. Then theres the "I am at the pc but I am reading a book or watching tv" kind of AFK. The first 1 is against the rules but I think the second 1 is ok, who hasn't read these forums or watched tv while fishing or something else?

Since the requirments to wiled them swords are in the 70's (if I remember correctly) then they could be made to need like 90 attack and str to equip them so they truly become ultimate high level weapons (which is what players want) and increase there power to cope with the new meaning of defence. The price of veracs would fly up though!

Train on those wizards south of falador with there own spell, like use air spells on the white wizard etc. Using the lowest magic attack you can get with high magic defence. Btw totaly being AFK is against the rules.

off topic: schweet, that just adds to the irony :lol: I'd say it should follow suit with other games and do it all the time, is there really a need to hit 60's in pvp. Having said that what would happen with bronze and iron cos at level 3 (and a little higher) your going to be killing cows (if your smart), spiders, goblins or rats which only hit 1 (as far as I can remember) so if this idea gets put in the game are people going to be invincible against cows, spiders, goblins and rats while wearing the worst armour in the game?

Couldn't you buy the string, gold bar etc and make them that way then use the spell to finish them off, would that buy them quicker?

Ah, sorry. I dont like range much so I am of little help, you could try ranging black drags in zanaris. When I was last there a guy was owning them using range. Chance of a visage aswell. He was 90 range but you could use a range pot. He used rune c'bow with those bolts that drain your health aswell.

STRING AMMY: But you're forgetting the price to buy the unstrung ammies. You lose money on that alone. Remember that you will have to buy them at max, but you can only sell them (strung) at minimum to the Rouge. Plus, they are currently plummeting down in price because of merch clans dumping them, making you lose even more money as their price falls. PLANKMAKE: The sell price is 1650? Wow was 1.8k just a day or two ago. Still the best option, however, by far, by far. They both take roughly the same amount of time to cast, although Plankmake is a tiny bit faster. Both of them take 1 set of runes per item (be it an ammy or log). The difference is that Plankmake isn't automatic while String Ammy is automatic. However, String Ammy is about 20k less xp per hour and also costs a lot more. It's very inefficient. I'd go with Plankmake if I only wanted a few levels, but I'd ice burst in the long run. If I didn't care about summoning and I needed a lot of levels/xp, then I'd go to string ammy. My advice: Plankmake is by far the best option. So try it for an hour or two and make sure you are maximizing your xp/hour. Then decide if you can see yourself doing to for the rest of your goal. If it's too hard (since it is a lot of clicking), you may want to opt for rock lobsters or, at worst, string ammy. NOTE: If you do string ammy, I'd wait a week or so for the price to settle to normal. Damn merchanting clans... Why buy at max?
