Games In Draft are games where the GM is still working on bits of the game, but wants people to know that it'll be ready relatively soon. Or it's games that are nearing completion through discussion in the thread.

Hello, and welcome to The Fireplace, where the Tavernites discuss possible new games amongst themselves and where I, hopefully, will manage to keep a list of games currently running or being drafted. To get a game added to the list, just throw me or a Tavern Moderator a PM with the game's name and what list you wish for it to be placed under. Games Running is for games which are currently running - it has all the players it needs, is fleshed out, and people are playing it. Games In Enrollment are games which still need more players, but are otherwise ready to go. Games In Draft are games which are still having the fine details worked out, but have a decent core concept and a GM willing to run them. Falador Tavern Archives is for games that have run their course and are finished, but may be resurrected sometime in the future if the desire to do so is there and there is a willing GM if one is necessary. Drafts in Storage has just recently been added into the list of categories. This is for games that are making no progress in the Draft stage. Any posts which do not show any progress after one month will be moved here so that Tavern members and newcomers know what to look forward to and not get confused between what is being worked on and what isn't. That depends on the day and how much people decide to break ze rules. I don't get to kill spambots much, though. Much to my disappointment.

...Dang it, where'd the admins hide the banhammer...? :P And a community gaming thread sounds quite interesting, although I'm not sure how well certain parties would take it, since there's already a subforum in OT for non-RS video games.

So... the consensus seem to be that the Back Room should be turned into and/or replaced with a game ideas thread, and most people seem to be desiring a new thread instead of using this one due to clutter issues. Is this correct, or have I been misreading people's intent?

Because, to put it simply, they don't break the rules. They're off-topic things where they belong - in an off-topic thread, annoying to some, fine to others. However, I think that a problem begins to emerge when there exists no topic to be off from - but that again is an issue of my personal interpretation, and not an issue of a breaking of the rules. To make things perfectly clear, I am only supposed to use mod powers when a rule-breaking has occurred, with few exceptions. As for changing the poll to be public, or adding more options, I'll get to doing that, but in doing so I will have to delete all the votes currently cast. I would suggest a vote for whether or not to change the poll, but then I'll fudge that one up somehow, and we'll end up with a poll about changing the poll about changing the poll. In essence, pollception. So I'll just change this one (hopefully for the last @#$@ time) to be public voting. Maybe throw in an 'other' option somewhere.

Jagex never said there would be 1.5M bans going along with this. They said that they had recently banned 1.5M bots. All this does is prevent bots from continuing to bot. Doesn't ban them. Then every bot they've "banned" must've been an F2P noob account. That is, if they actually banned any accounts for botting. What about the high level botted accounts in P2P? They're not going to ban them? :rolleyes: Well, they released the program that stops bots from working as an update. Most bots are usually down after an update anyways, so naturally there aren't going to be any on for them to ban. And really, most of the ex-bots probably won't be banned, because if the botting program doesn't work, they're not going to log on. So unless some moron tries to use his old, broken bot, then you aren't going to go up in ranks without gaining XP due to this. Just for the sake of asking then what is, essentially, a stupid question: why impose anti-botting measures if you're not going to permanently ban the bots? :rolleyes: Because it means you don't have to ban the bots to keep them out of the game. Really, what Jagex is trying to do is get rid of the bots, not ban them all. Banning was just one technique they used - granted, they didn't use it as well as it could have been utilized, but if the newly added solution works, then it's better than trying to ban all the bots.

That looks pretty nice. Hilt looks a bit off-center, but that's usually pretty hard to avoid.

I was halfway through drawing a sprited version of Mather before I caught myself and went 'what the hell am I doing, he already made one' I would make a sprited version of myself, but that would mean showing you all what I look like. And that ain't gonna happen.
