Dungeoneering Bestiary - Corrections & Comments
I think it is worth noting in the bestiary entry on Night-gazer Khighorahk that once he has spawned his weaker form the Light Pillars no longer go out. So after killing his first form, a player no longer needs to worry about relighting.

Bestiary link from Dungeoneering Guide
The Dungeoneering guide has somewhat limited information on each of the boss monsters. At first I was kind of disappointed that there was not more information available. Then I checked the bestiary and found that the boss monsters had much more detailed information available here. My suggestion is that the section of the Dungeoneering guide ( here: http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?page=dungeoneering_guide.htm#monsters ) have links where the monsters names are to the bestiary. I know this isn't a big deal. I just think it would be a fairly simple convenience to add, and potentially be quite helpful to anyone fighting a new Dungeoneering boss monster.

Just throwing it out there: I like this idea too.

Tip.It Times - 27th June 2010
In response to the first article, Jagex has already stated that the amount of cash brought into the game by this update was about 1/8 of the amount of cash brought in every single day. If this is true, this influx of cash into the game should have very little effect on the prices of anything, except initially while people panic buy (which will happen on a large scale for a bit). While some people did become quite rich instantly, and this is unfair to those who didn't, it will really have little effect on the way those people who did not become rich play the game. I had 7 pairs of climbing boots, so this did not benefit me all that much. However, it also does not really hurt me (unless I need to buy climbing boots in the future and they're more expensive). People will be angry about this update, but I do not believe it will have much of a long-term effect on the game at all. EDIT: After having just checked a few of the items that I have been watching since this update (AGS, SGS, Dragon Bones) it would appear that the panic buying is already over. AGS and Dragon Bones dropped in price on the last update, and SGS only rose .01% which is just about no change at all.

Metal Dragon Hunting
You make a very good point SportGuy, and I've got to say, I agree with you about the whole minimum recommended theory. The recommended minimum should always be included in a guide, especially since people using the guide are likely to have the lower levels of recommended gear (not always, some guides are always helpful for a refresher, no matter your gear or levels). The only reason I suggested adding chaotic weaponry to the guide is because many guides also include the optimal gear setup. A lot of guides, such as GWD guides, have tiers of suggested gear, in the format of Abyssal Whip > Dragon Scimitar > Rune Scimitar. While people with access to chaotic weaponry will know its power, there may be someone out there who never even considered getting it, but now sees it in a guide and thinks, "Maybe I should try to get that some day if it's really the best option out there." I'm not saying that I demand these weapons be put in the guides right away. Right now not a lot of people have them, and it is a huge time investment to get one, and a time investment someone who is already busy doing slayer or something else is not going to want to make. If they aren't added as of now, I completely understand the reasoning.

Metal Dragon Hunting
I realize chaotic weapons would not be what most people would use, and I think that leaf-bladed sword and whip should still be in the guide. It really comes down to where we draw the line of practicality. Obviously Vesta's Longsword has a higher stab attack bonus than leaf-bladed sword, but it would be highly impractical to use hunting metal dragons. I think chaotic weapons aren't so ridiculous as to not mention them, especially since they will probably only become more and more prevalent.

Metal Dragon Hunting
In both the iron/steel dragon guide, and in the mithril dragon guide, the recommended weapon is either the Abyssal Whip or Leaf-Bladed Sword. Quote from mithril dragon guide: Mithril dragons, like all metal dragons, are weak to stab attacks, that's why a Leaf-bladed sword is suggested, as it is the best single handed stab weapon. Use a Slayer helmet or a Black mask if you've been assigned them as a slayer task. This information is out of date since the release of dungeoneering. The chaotic rapier now beats the leaf-bladed sword in stab attack bonus 94 to 67. The chaotic longsword has an even higher stab bonus (although it has a lower speed) and beats the leaf-bladed sword 107 to 67.

In response to "Vanity Fair" RuneScape is a role-playing game. While there are definitely people who play it analytically and only look for the best "functioning" item (nothing against these people; I am often one of them), there are also plenty of people who play RuneScape to really get into the role of their character. Even if they happen to be less efficient as a result of their attire, they have fun wearing it. The word "vain" carries a significantly negative connotation. To call the people "vain" who like to have their character be more of an individual and a role-player in a role-playing game, seems to me to probably be fairly inaccurate for most of the people it was applied to. Based on your conclusion, you expected this kind of response from the other side of the argument. Overall, the article was well-written. I just don't happen to agree with the main argument you made (or the title).

Today was senior awards night at my school, and it ended up being another project night. The project is an adaptation of William Chaucer's The Canterbury Tale's, more specifically The Pardoner's Tale. Summary: people drink, yell, and die. We threw the script together in about 20 minutes basing it off of Chaucher's story. My little brother and my friend's little brother acted some of the other parts. It says Mike did the editing, but that was just to make it seem like he did anything (I edited it). Overall, I don't think it turned out terribly for a couple hours max of working. I uploaded the video to YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLIJ4G-jnkw

Today's project took less time than expected, so I was able to get in some Prayer training. Good news! I was only about an hour away from 92 Prayer, so I was able to get it

Well, after my spree of 1m+ XP in 24 hours, I had to return to reality. Yesterday I went to Six Flags New England (a theme park/water park), with some of my friends. One of the friends had only been on one roller coaster ever, so of course we had to change that. We were some of the first people in the park as well, which meant a 10 minute wait for a ride that would normally be up to 2 hours  Today is homework day; I've got 3 projects due in the next two days...

This morning I made the switch to Dragon Bones from Big Bones. This had several effects: Pros: 1) 80k Big Bones became 7.5k Dragon Bones 2) I got 9m cash 3) I get to see my XP go up much faster  4) I get to move on to Dungeoneering sooner Cons: 1) I am only getting 92 Prayer for now (I can't yet afford 95 with Dragon Bones) 2) I failed my Big Bones goal 3) I need about 30m more cash for 95 Prayer And a screenshot:

Castle Wars new rewards
Taken from the Tip.It Castle Wars guide: Ballistas Ballistas must be setup using four pieces bought from Lanthus in the Castle Wars lobby. Those pieces are: Ballista base, Ballista bow, Ballista bolt stock and Ballista chamber; each pieces costs 2 tickets and lasts only one game. Ballista ammo must be bought too, costing 1 ticket per bolt; only 30 bolts are allowed each game. Ballista stands are located in pairs, in front of the castle, by each stepping stones and in front of the bridge of the middle island. Later on however, in the chart section for the ballista rewards, the guide says that Ballista Ammo costs 4 tokens per bolt. I checked on the Jagex KB and there it says 4 tokens per bolt, so I am assuming this is correct (although I did not check in-game). Essentially, in the paragraph about the Ballista it says that bolts are 1 ticket each, when it should say 4 tickets each.

Today marks my first time playing multiple times over one weekend in a while  Last night was my Senior Prom, which was fun, and loud lol. There was lots of good food, dancing, and friends. The one problem was the dance floor got ridiculously hot really quickly. Overall, definitely worth it.  Tonight, Prayer training time.

3 end of the year assignments, a new job, senior prom, and more all seem to be getting in the way of Prayer training. Last night I was at a friend's house and was actually able to get in some decent XP (about 120k), but we spent most of our time doing other things, so it didn't end up being one of those 10-hour straight 500k Prayer XP nights. As I've said before, I just need school to be over, and then I can really get back to training Prayer. And now, a screenshot...

Yeah, the combination of all of the fun senior-year activites, combined with the not-so-fun papers and projects doesn't leave a whole lot of time to do much else (although I'm not complaining about the fun stuff :P). I graduate June 17th, and take my last final exam on the 11th, so it's almost over. Thanks for the support :^_^:

Tonight I finally have some time to get in a decent amount of Prayer training. Granted, this is not because I don't have homework, but because I will not be in school tomorrow and so am not doing any homework  Of course, I also won't be home tomorrow because I'm going on a field trip, so tomorrow won't be a great day for Prayer. In other news: After completing Buyers and Cellars, and Fairy Tale Part III, I got my Quest Cape back

Is it worth getting D Claws for bosses?
I would say Dragon Claws are definitely worth the money for the Special Attack at bosses, especially GWD. This is assuming you will not have to sell all of your gear to buy them, or anything along those lines. If it means giving up everything else for DClaws, I would say no. If you can afford DClaws with minimal losses in the rest of your gear, it's worth it.

C rapier vs C longsword
2 million for pure cash, 20k tokens and 200k for the mixture. Thank you. The mixed one was what I was looking for, as I could not find it anywhere. That is actually fairly reasonable for a 10-hour recharge.

C rapier vs C longsword
Does anyone know the recharge costs of the Chaotic Weapons yet?

It is now time to write my 10-page senior paper for English class. I'm really not looking forward to this, but at least the subject could be worse (I get to write about Lord of the Rings to some extent :^_^: ). I have really been limited as to how much time I can devote to Prayer training each day, but that doesn't mean I have given up. I do still intend to get 95 Prayer using Big Bones, and once I get some more free time, I will be well on my way to doing so. Following Prayer will be Dungeoneering and some GWD, to try and build my bank back up. Wish me luck on my paper. The intro being done is a good start right?

Yeah, I'm beginning to think that I'm probably better off going with the Arcane Stream Necklace first, because it's such a huge upgrade for mage, and the CLS after that. I still think the shield would be really helpful for Bandos, especially for soloing, but it's probably not worth it, especially since the CLS would also be great for soloing.

I am now home from camping. Unfortunately, I have quite a bit of homework to do... Even though I will probably not be making much progress on my Prayer training the next week or so, at least now that I'm back home I can keep the blog up to date. I have not had a real day of school in almost two weeks, with the 5 days of AP testing, a single full day of school with other students in testing, and then two straight days of all-day field trips. I'm really not looking forward to Monday. Wednesday marks the due date of my 10-page English paper (not looking forward to that either). Hopefully after that, things will begin to slow down at school, although I feel like I've been saying that for a while now, without things actually slowing down. Also, I have heard that the new Dungeoneering shields drain very quickly when used in high-damage situations. Any opinions on whether they are worth it or not?
