No, Torag's hammers have a better crush attack than the SS, even though they are 2handed they still hit decently, and they only cost ~100k. Torag Hammers are junk to be honest. If you can't afford an SS or Z Spear I would recommend just borrowing one from a friend. Also it's worth noting that you can do them in the Chaos Tunnels and use a fighting familiar to speed it up slightly, that's what I've been doing and I get upwards of 100 crimsons an hour and can stay considerably long with profit. I've only done them with Fire Titan and above, but I've heard from a friend who did this for 99 Summoning that a Spirit Kyatt with scrolls is a decent fighter.

I'd kill them IN the armadyl eerie, at the entrance. So I don't think I need a god item, so what shield do you recommend, I'm leaning towards the book just for the accuracy, although maybe a shield would be better? Also, I'd probably camp there for as many spells as I can buy to take with me, if that changes anything. I'd go with the BSS if your willing to pay for it. Nice defence and no negative mage bonus.

I haven't done TD's since before the RT5 update and even then I didn't do them a lot, so I didn't know every safe spot or every method. I went today and tried two or three spots that used to work but now I get piled by two or more demons in each spot. Where are the current safe spots?

You could always hally them. There's several hally spots in both Taverly and the Chaos Tunnels.

I'm thinking about getting all my stats up to either 70 or 80. Herblore being one of the first I'll level, not sure why but I want to get it out the way first. Although I have no clue what to make. My Herblore level is 63 and I have quite a decent cash pile to work with but I'd like to not lose tons of it.

They're both Slash attacks so I don't see why you would hit more with one style than the other. Maybe it's just your mind tricking you :P

You could just leave an offer in the GE for max like I did. Took about eight hours to get one but it was better than coughing up 7m when I was just going to sell it back when I was done with it.

New question - Does a higher farming level increase the amount of herbs you get from one patch?

Few questions on herb runs.. - Does a higher farming level decrease amount of deaths? - What is the average amount of herbs you get from one patch? - Are there any familiars that are useful to Farming?
