How many drops would you say you recieve in those 5 hours, include decimals if they need be. Although, I'm not sure since I don't log drops or anything, but I would expect a cannon every 1-2 hours, and shots every 30 minutes maybe. Probably way off since my luck there recently has been crap with cannons, and I've been getting 500 shots+ in about an hour.

I bring verac's with defender+whip. 5 pray pots, a summoning pot, 5 bunyips, a tele and 7 sharks. I can usually stay there for 3-5 hours with that set up.

If they did fix it up, they'd have to do it with the rest of the forum. Then it'll end up like when free trade was destroyed. A small population was bad, and the rest have to suffer.

It really depends on the person. Some people will find f2p fun after doing all the quests. Some don't.

Some new thing Jagex added. Doubt it's a glitch.
