My clan doesn't pvp regularly, but I'd hardly consider myself a noob. :roll: I'm sure both philosophies have their own little handfuls of noobs, though, if that's what you're driving at.

They're trying to help but considering how clans are run now and how Jagex insists on doing things, they're really shutting themselves out. To embrace what clans have become would mean sacrificing what Jagex have already set as a standard with every other aspect of the game. Swearing, nh/h, independant forums and memberlists, etc. I love it that Jagex is trying to give a bigger sense of involvement and trying to make clan groups feel less like outcasts (because lets face it, we really were for a time.) But if they're not doing anything innovative, not a lot of people will go flocking back to the RSOF, y'know?

You can lose items, you just can't loot. But really, how often do you get kills in a big pkri? I get maybe 1 or two. It's not worth weighing me down just to pick up 50k of junk. And corrupt weaponry is so uncommon that it's not even worth factoring in. Looting isn't as big a deal as everyone thinks. I think people just use it as a roadblock so they have an excuse to not try something different.

Actually, that argument can go both ways. I can tell you at least one instance where two clans fought a time capped pkri in the old wild, yet the only reason one clan won against the other was because they could simply return faster. The other clan was dropping them like flies. You'd say that the other clan was more skilled, yes? But by PvP standards, the original clan won. This wouldn't be the same in Clan Wars Arena, when you have the ability to measure kills over time. Both places have their pros and cons. If CWA had a Tree to Tree map, or something similar, would people still hate it? That's where 90% of the pkris are fought anyway.

RSC didn't make the 'rules' you're referring to. The community as a whole did, way before RSC was even a blip on the fansite map.

I've heard of this a lot. I think they're just doing this to give people a bigger sense of involvement.

First off: keep it on topic. If you've got issues with another clan, go talk to them about it in private. This thread--this forum--is not the place to carry out petty arguments. Well that's the whole idea behind an alliance isn't it? That argument isn't really...a negative one. In fact, I think it's a good thing that big clans, who are normally at eachothers throats, are working together in this. And in the meantime, people from smaller clans are getting vaulable experience while still helping the cause. It's a win-win in my book, unless you're NH to begin with. Will IA last forever? Of course not. But while they're at it, you can go and have fun wiping out people who destroy legitimate fights, who sacrifice the community's enjoyment for their own selfish needs.
