At first I thought the Walker on the horse was [hide=Book Spoilers - I don't remember which, so don't look if you haven't read up to A Dance of Dragons] The same one will guide Bran. It saw/acknowledged Sam, but chose to ignore him. The horse was even deformed in the same manner as described in the book. But it didn't speak at all and when the camera panned out, you saw another on the horse, so I guess it might not have been him or they did away with that confusing character altogether.[/hide] Oh and confirming from the earlier discussion: in the book they did justify Robert's usurpation of the throne by making a vague connection through his mother's side to find a Targaryen ancestor, but it's heavily implied throughout the book that he won through might of arms and the fact that at the pinnacle of Aerys' madness, he was horrendous to all of the nobles beneath him. I do like how they handled the Qarth sequence in Dany's storyline opposed to the book. Simpler, cleaner. Re-enforces the notion of magic being tied to the Dragons, which was underplayed during the Wildfire sequences. Kind of weird that her hair didn't get burnt when the dragons breathed fire, bit of a weird oversight. But pretty good all around. The scene with Drogo was especially nice - pleased the book-nerd in me very much to see Dany's son. It might not have been the vision of him described in the book grown up, but I'll take it. Without Jon's inner monologue that we get in the books, I was worried on how they would handle the conflicting emotions he would face. They started off his relationship with the Wildlings very well. I love it. The only big gripe I really have with this season is how different Tyrion's tactics were in the Battle of Blackwater. It made the screen version's Tyrion seem a lot more haphazard, like he just scooped up on Cersei's leftovers and had no ingenuity of his own. Still, I liked it all the same. His speech, the confrontation with that knight, the after-effects of being completely bereft of power again. Very powerful stuff.

Why not wait to gather your data when the fish masks didn't have an increased chance of obtaining them. How Jagex initially thought how common these false rares needed to be in order to be successful would have been very intriguing.

Mmm but the big problem with Duke Nukem's development was the nature of the beast (a game laden with pop culture references doesn't age well when it takes 2+yrs to push out) and being passed over to a bajillion different teams. In this case, it would have stayed with the same team, same company, with high standards of quality. Wut? I expected Ubisoft to perform, they're a good company and they make good games. What kind of shocked me was Sony ACTUALLY showing a good game that didn't draw on the LBP/Uncharted/Quantic Dream teat. Last of Us looks truly stellar and I have extremely high hopes for it. A post-apocalypic game that's not all about LOLZOMBAYS and also gives heavier emphasis on surviving and human life after the event? Sign me the [bleep] up.

I hope for their sakes that publicly announcing their stances on this and showing they're against the group doesn't paint targets on their backs for dismissal. :/

I remember when Santa Hats ballooned from 200k to 1.2-5mil practically within a few days because of the merching done by a select wealthy group, and they never dropped back to their "original" price. Yeah, years is a factor, but there's still quick cash to be made here given that their supply is limited. But you're right, they won't become partyhat-big in a year.

That's why these changes are being done so gradually. Just look at the degrees of emotions we've seen and how they've changed since the Wheel's release. A sticky won't make these threads disappear nor will it be in the best interest of the person asking advice to do so. Stickies should be for general information, not a place to group-and-shove topics we're tired of looking at. They end up being destickied and lost shortly after being created, or even worse just flat out neglected. Just don't post on what you're not interested in helping on, you're not obligated to pay attention to every "pls halp need monies 4 saxophone lessonz" thread that's posted. Just my personal opinion. They will. We're slowly being eased into and conditioned for these business practices to be acceptable. Basically, anything they can make a profit on in this game, they will, now that they have a sly way to do it. Even if partyhats were super-ultra-mega-whatever rare, it would still boost SOF sales. And that's what they want.

Now there's no reason to buy from gold-selling sites. Just buy spins, get a rare, sell for millions, AND level your account simultaneously! Okay, I am exaggerating a bit. But still. I was expecting patch notes to save the day for some interesting things (for me personally) to chew over, only to see gems like this: "The Supreme Poison Purge aura now functions as expected, instead of doing nothing." How...does crap like this pass testing? Surely they check to see if the aura at least WORKS before making content live. All of this leaves a horrible taste in my mouth...Tastes like ass. And also... Is...this what they're going with? Really? Almost as bad as MMG saying 90% of people actively enjoy the SoF.
