  1. 180k death runes????? I'm jelly. Congratz on completing such a huge achievement (((:
  2. The calculations I did were based on the info previously posted and should be treated as such :P I have no intention to mislead the OP I simply did some number crunching (:
  3. It wasn't directed at you. Sorry I didn't make that clear. It's okay. I got confused. I thought you said I was trolling, but you were telling me he was trolling. OT: Snaps will probably not sell for a long time, so instead of waiting a long time to sell them for way under market, turn them into unfinished snapdragon potions and sell for -5%. ...All prices are different and cannot be compared in terms of % above or below GE price. Turning the snap into unfinished pots is going to take time and he might as well just dump the snaps when he can and make money using other ways. It also depends on if he has a scroll of cleansing and myriads of other reasoning. I would just hoard it for now, and unload in the future. I can't stand things like making unfinished potions/etc because there's so much other skills to level and the profit from these aren't so good (especially since all the prices of herbs + unf potions are so volatile - a few hours may mean a few mil or so decrease in profit and make even count for a loss) I'd rather sell them quickly for a bit under market than wait way too long to sell for just under med. More people buy Snap unf due to it being one step closer to a Super Restore than a Clean Snapdragon herb. Also, how is making unfinished potions a waste of time? It only takes about 10 seconds for 14... If all of the information previously stated on this thread is correct (10 seconds to make 14 potions, 10k snapdragons banked, snaps sell for 15% under and unf pots for 5% under), then the OP saves himself 5.61mil in 119 minutes. Meaning if the decision is to sell now, the herbs should be made into unf pots if the OP values his time at less than 2.8m/hour. As for the actual decision to sell or not- I can only speculate. Hopefully the above information helps a little (:
  4. Such as what though? Mage boxing gives probably the same odds as regular boxing. I lag too hard to be effective in a rapier stake. Hybriding perhaps? but from what I've heard the only hybrid stakers do so in pvp/nex gear lol.
  5. Stats above. I have access to mid level gear (bandos etc), how should I go about making a profit staking? for the most part I did boxing, however I have an unfavorable k:d ratio and I just can't seem to turn a profit. I need 25m to buy 92 herb for overloads.... Making a pure with non maxed stats isn't an option. thanks in advance for your help.
  6. Viable for those who don't want slayer xp (: I'll do it to 95 ranged atleast.
  7. it may be worthwhile do bring something that had a high melee soak percentage for nomads max hp-1 attack. When I fought nomad I was able to save a large amount of lp every time he used that attack (I believe I wore torags) I meleed Nomad though- it's something to consider but perhaps not viable.
  8. I got 14 going from 92-99 attack and defence. xp gained / xp for 1 zombie = 13mil/340 =38k zombies I believe this works out to be about a 1/2700 chance of an effigy- this is from personal experience. Perhaps I was simply unlucky.
  9. I could be mistaken, but I doubt that any loading speed benefits outweighs the slowdown of having to repeatedly type in the other player's name to reach their house. A gilded altar costs about 1.2M, which can be substantial at lower levels. However, that's around 6% of the cost of training prayer from 80 -> 85 using dragon bones, and about 1% of the cost of training 80 -> 95. When you enter someone elses house, the next time you open the interface their name is at the bottom of the box where you type who's house to go in. That means that you can click it once and you're in their house. The only time lost on typing is the first time. This may still be a valid point because your yanille tabs will take you outside of someone elses house instead of directly inside of your own, however when i got 99 prayer I decided this wasn't worth the extra effort to light the incence burners myself. If you are using a pack yak full of bones + your inventory your burners may burn out before you finish offering all the bones you brought. I'm not sure how commonly known this is- but make your Take BoB the left click summon option and you can offer all of the bones continuously- just collect your yak's bones right as you finish offering. (: Hopefully this helped a little!
  10. Using a forum team without much lootshare potential, corp can be hard to profit. I find myself profiting every time I go when my team splits every drop, and we have a chance at the really big drops as well. (6 man 130+ with turm and most have overloads) With armadyl/sara gwd, the only way I profit is if I get a drop, meaning most trips I won't actually profit. However the chance at the 30-50m hilts draws me there on occassion. These are not reliable money makers anymore. Bandos gwd and crashing bandos can be good ways to make money. Graardor is an easy kill so you can stay for long periods of time with a yak/tort + turmoil/soul split. Bandos tassets/bcp are still over 17m ea last I checked, this is still a pretty good way to make money. @ the row.... I've gone ffa splits with row and lootshare to all bosses and I can't personally tell a difference, however I havne't had a large enough sample size to give a valid opinion.
  11. Can't go wrong with surefooted. takes all the frustration out of agility and allows you to train on an upper level course for 20 minutes without any xp loss. If you're near the level for a new course or just at the level for a new one it would be useful as it prevents you from failing, giving you the same xp rate as someone with 99 agility for 20 minutes.
  12. This is true. and I do all of the above, I just don't even think about it. bahahah idk if that makes me a good dungeoneer or a bad one :P thank you though (:
  13. level 60 revenant hobgoblin. I was too busy [cabbage]ing myself to take a picture when i actually got the drop.
  14. I ranged nomad a few times and died every time. Eventually I got poed that I kept dying and went in with melee (zamorakian spear and dragon claws wearing tank gear). Killed him with rocktails to spare. For a melee based account melee can potentially be more effective. at the time my ranged was only about 80- at higher ranged levels im sure ranged is more effective at killing nomad.
  15. I know the basics. I attempt to keep them in mind while dg'ing but nobody else seems to be doing it. They take out the shades/mages and then it's random. Is it really that much faster to split off and use your weapons strengths? and turmoil flashing is supposed ot happen all the time ? Without running out of prayer? I suppose I'm a little rusty dunge'ing. I'll go back soon- I hope to have made myself better at it when I return to it ((:
  16. (: enjoy the game. Personally I reccommend going through the tasks that jagex has provided for beginners. this will introduce you to most of the skills that are available to you as well as introducing you to new areas. I really reccommend NOT going p2p until about combat level 50- this game can be overwhelming without worrying about all of the p2p content. Familiarize yourself with the f2p world first. Combat is always a good way to start if you don't wish to do the tasks. Start killing things and pick up what they drop to be sold later, this can be used to raise your other skills. Alternatively, you may choose to pick one skill every day and learn how to train it a little bit. Barring members only skills, this should take you about 2 weeks to get through, at which point you'll be around level 20-30 in every skill. At this point you'll be able to choose accurately which skills/style of gameplay fit the way you want to play runescape. Furthermore, each new skill you train will introduce you to different kinds of players (specifically ones who enjoy doing that particular skill more than any other skill). Hopefully this helped... You can send me a private message ingame if you need more help/advice. My usename is Mini spawn. I had someone help me right off the bat when I joined so I'll happily repay the favor. Happy scaping!! Mini
  17. I'm looking to find a guide on efficient room clearing strategies for high level dungeoneers. I've read obtaurian's 3rd bind guide, and have a promethium platebody bound until I can find something better (probably the primal gaunts). I have a primal battle axe/ssh bound currently but i may change it if I find 2h's are more effective. I know how to dungeoneer- I'm simply looking to become more efficient at it (: If such a guide exists could you please direct me to it? I'll be surfing the net after posting this to try to find one- but I trust tip.it more than a random guide from zybez etc.
  18. I have the bone crusher and demon horn necklace. the only time i use mine is to lighten the load of prayer pots on cannonable tasks like mutated bloodvelds. if you have extra tokens they can't hurt but theyre not worth getting over a chaotic. (i got 5 chaotics before i bought those)
  19. Thank you (: I'm going to eventually chin SOMETHING (quite possibly nechs), because I'm going to get my stats up for nexing. I'm currently missing herblore, summoning, and ranged. (70, 70 and 87) I'll probably get herblore first, and attempt ranged and summoning at the same time so I'll have access to extreme ranged potions when I do finally do this (: Would it be faster to use the chaotic maul + turmoil + extremes to get charms at waterfiends and just chin the monkeys at ape atoll?
  20. Honestly RS wiki has (most) of these listed out already, or they can be found on youtube etc. While I don't generally trust RS wiki when it comes to xp/hr they generally seem to be near the mark. That being said a thread listed xp rates for all skills will turn into an all skills guide, which would be difficult to contain in one thread, and probably difficult to search through and find information. If I'm wrong and this works out, more power to you (:
  21. Basically I'd like to know if this is a viable method for training ranged/summoning. I'm already a few million xp over 99 magic, so I'd rather not barrage for the extra xp. All melee stats + prayer/magic are 99. I have full armadyl and can buy archers ring/amulet and borrow ranging boots etc. I do not have access to extreme ranging potions. I do not have access to rigour(yet). I have 87 ranged. Is this effective? How does it compare to chinning nechryaels? Red chins or grey? What kind of charm rate/xp rate am I lookin at per hour? How much money will be wasted per hour? ((: ty
  22. This is only true when accuracy is less than 50%. Below that both attack bonus and str bonus provide equal amounts of dps increase. What on earth is less than below 50%? That makes no sense. Below 50% implies 49% and down, so how can you have less than it? By having any % accuracy lower than 50%... seriously how is this hard to comprehend? If you are hitting LESS than 50% of the time 1 pt str bonus will add an equal amount of dps as 1 pt attack bonus. Which is why in some situations a fighter hat is better than a neit helm for better dps I think you mean when accuracy is MORE than 50%, below that they provide equal boost. But tbh its virtually impossible to have accuracy that low once you get out of newb territory because all weapons give such big bonuses, particularly given the fact this guy clearly has 80+ attack and a CLS so accuracy is no issue at all. /facepalm Maxed solo set up a CLS is still less than 50% accurate on graar, it happens more than you think when bossing. it was fairly difficult to comprehend. speak english next time (: There was an analysis of cls/cr on Graardor- the link was on the forum somewhere. I'll try to dig it up. The results- CLS 41% accurate and rapier 38% accurate. I believe this means that strength and attack bonuses are equally helpful in terms of overall dps- in which case the question of which is best boils down to which ring provides a higher bonus. **as i searched for the link on tif/internet i found that it was removed from TIF for a reason that is unknown to me** The berserkeri ring provides +8 strength while the warrior provides +8 slash, meaning theoretically they're equal. The berzerker ring will be more useful in other situations aside from gwd so I'd go with that one (its not often outside of GWD that your accuracy is below 50% with the chaotic long sword)
  23. Just out of curiosity where does dharoks at say 100-150 lp factor into there? I dont have the OP's stats in front of me so I can't say his max hp :P
  24. chaotics degrading might be counted by the number of hits that you perform (that is the way its commonly presented when doing an analysis of a chaotic weapons cost), which leads me to believe that only when you are actually fighting death spawns will your chaotic degrade. Admittedly, my understanding of game mechanics is rather small so I can only speculate (: Treat my advice as such.
  25. I believe that the gorg 2h will have higher dps and also has all 4 attack styles (correct me if im wrong), so you'll be better off with the 2h. The stats of a shield are about half of the stats of a platebody (approximation), the shield is always worse. I looked into a primal kiteshield as my third bind and was disappointed. You would probably be better off replacing the cosmics with a surgebox bind, simply because it doesn't take long to make cosmic runes every floor and it would speed up your floors if you were able to kill the warriors with magic. Look for a shadow silk hood to replace the platebody bind you currently have, it is better to use than a platebody and is dropped by night spiders, which require 41 slayer to kill. ... Hopefully this helps (: Spear has stab, 2h doesn't ^^ thought i was missing something. spear isnt worth using though, you can't use it with your upgraded ring
