I believe that the gorg 2h will have higher dps and also has all 4 attack styles (correct me if im wrong), so you'll be better off with the 2h. The stats of a shield are about half of the stats of a platebody (approximation), the shield is always worse. I looked into a primal kiteshield as my third bind and was disappointed. You would probably be better off replacing the cosmics with a surgebox bind, simply because it doesn't take long to make cosmic runes every floor and it would speed up your floors if you were able to kill the warriors with magic. Look for a shadow silk hood to replace the platebody bind you currently have, it is better to use than a platebody and is dropped by night spiders, which require 41 slayer to kill. ... Hopefully this helps (:

Crafting approx 100k blood runes Frost dragons Buying santa for 20m and blue hween for 20, selling both for well over 100m approx 60-80 slayer picking up nearly every drop 88-98 fishing on rocktails Level 3/elite cluescroll farming 99 woodcutting on yews + 10k magic logs after 99. Various drops pvm'ing. 2 tassets, 2 sara hilts, bandos chestplate, 2 bandos hilts, a zamorakian spear + hilt, sara sword, armadyl chainskirt, and multiples of every dks drop. Most duo'd/lootshared. however... The runecrafting is not nearly as profitable as it once was, frost dragons are the same, making 200m off of my rares cannot be repeated, picking up every slayer drop is inefficient- I did this to build a solid cash base for my account a long time ago, rocktails are fairly slow money, as is woodcutting. Clue scroll farming/pvm are well known money making methods that as a high level I'd think the OP would be informed of. They're also fairly inconsistent money makers with no guaranteed profit, so i suggested what was suggested to me as being approx 1.5m gp/hr.

Grenwalls only approach than number if you have a 90+ hunter, ideally 99. Also you need scentless potions from HH, 69 summoning, and a bonecrusher. On top of that its constant micromanagement of traps. Really I don't see why making money is a chore, farming herbs, investing into MTK, doing your dailies, and flipping will bring in minimum 20 mil a week. It was my friend who was 2496 total telling me about these- also suggesting I get the last few levels to be able to catch them. Farming herbs is a chore >.< I hate it. That being said I'm interested to see what other responses this thread will bring in. If spending 5 minutes to make 200+ k is a chore then you can't be helped. Also, having a high leveled friend doesn't make his advice good, which it isn't. At 77 grenwalls catch rate is so obsenely low you're better off picking mort myre fungi, hell camping the ranarr spawn in the edgeville resource dungeon would probably be better. At the first sentence... I have 99 prayer and I can assure you that I didn't bury 1.2m regular bones to get it. I am perfectly good at making money, however with frost dragon bones down I am looking to find alternative methods. Furthermore, gathering runes and equipment etc to do a farm run is infact a hassle. My dislike of farming doesn't mean that I'm hopeless at making money. At the second sentence... It doesn't make it good but it makes the advice worth considering. I don't particularly appreciate the flaming. I did say in my post that I don't have the level to do it but that I'd heard it was good. There wasn't much of a chance of me knowing it had a slow catch rate- nor did I imply that it was something the OP MUST do, it was simply something to look into.

I've heard grenwalls (I believe they req 77 hunter) are about 1.5m/hr. I'd give that a shot (: It's just a few levels away. I pvm sometimes for money. It's inconsistent but it can provide some good income. Plus I find it helpful to change the playerbase who are you in contact with from time to time, it shifts your goals around and creates an account that can be more easily maxed (: (ie i used to hate dungeoneering, I found a few friends who did it and now im 100 dunge)

Lots of questions about bossing. Enter at own risk.
Mini_Spawn replied to AHappySeeker's topic in Help and Advice
1. Tormented Demons. To ovl or not to ovl? While I don't personally have overloads I feel like it's worthwhile because of the constant boost to all combat stats, as you are hybriding this saves you up to 3 inventory spaces (where you would have used an extreme set + extreme ranging potion), and the healing can be done from EEE. In the short run overloads will make you lose money but if you stick with it you will obtain claws faster. 2. TD hybrid setups. I'm currently using void with a deflector and runite bolts. Is this optimal or should I switch to void gloves + ddef/Karil xbow or Verac/Karil hybrid with Karil xbow? I personally wear tanking gear to reduce damage, so I won't comment on the void. I don't feel like karils x bow should be necessary. Prime is weak enough to ranged damage that I don't feel its necessary to use a non renewable form of ammo. I use the chaotic crossbow and broad bolts (generally duo with a near maxed partner who uses the same thing). 3. Bandos duo DPS. I am uber-welfare right now so a hally will be my spec weapon (What I meant to say was "crash me pl0x"). I will definitely use void so I'm currently torn between d def and barrows gloves. D def seems the intuitive option since the hally specs will benefit from void but I still don't quite know how to quantify the -13atk/+6 str difference between the two options. I've honestly never used a halberd against graar so I can't comment. When I go to bandos in void I usually wear torags platebody with the deflector because I'd like to last longer, so there's not much help I can offer you here. 4. Rapier. Slash or stab vs The Big G? Stab. Accuracy is what counts vs Graar moreso than attack style and the rapier provides a much bigger stab bonus than a slash bonus. 5. While discussing tactics with my Bandos partner, I came up with the idea of food-bombing the boss room by suiciding with a full inventory of food and getting blessed. Is there anything that would stop this from being an extremely effective tactic for prolonged stays other than crashers? We Bandos during unsociable hours so crashers aren't a huge problem for us. This is such a good idea. I've never thought of it but I'll defninitely try it! I hope I helped a little. I boss fairly often & my account is level 134. -
how do ppl on highscores wit 60 dung have rapiers?
Mini_Spawn replied to Mid's topic in Help and Advice
My brother has been scammed by this a few times. Usually their names have what looks to be an I but it is in fact an L. You look the account up and see 60 dunge and think that they don't have a rapier (because the account with the same name but with an I DOES have 60 dunge), but the one that you're going to fight does have over 80 dungeoneering. ie Ikillnoobs 60 dunge lkillnoobs 90 dunge -
I prefer maul to rapier only on duo td's. If both my duo partner and I are using the maul we both can get a 500 in before the prayer switches. If you're soloing I think rapiers speed would better serve you. You'll probably get 2 200's in for most prayer swaps. The maul hits hard but a 0 means you do no damage for a long time. A 0 with the rapier isn't as significant. I'd recommend getting the rapier first. It's useful as an all around weapon- viable in most any situation. Like the above posters I'd also recommend getting a second chaotic- the second one is MUCH faster than the first. For the record I'm 100 dungeoneering with 4 chaotics... My thoughts are slightly scattered but I feel the information is still valid (:

Making a comback? Anything I should know?
Mini_Spawn replied to Beeskers503's topic in Help and Advice
the boss Nex was added, dropping items only for the uber rich (torva, pernix, virtus if you're curious). I'd still suggest barrows/bandos for slayer. I personally prefer barrows to bandos because I value defence more than a strength bonus, but that's just me. Get chaotics if you haven't already (: totally worth it -
I'd suggest selling some of your cooked fish for herb seeds and start doing farm runs every hour. That'd break things up nicely and turn a profit. You could also do skills like agility that are free. However, I find agility worse than cooking >.< *edited type-o*

The point made in the example stands. with very high lsp you stand a good chance at getting a good drop from mass corp or another mass boss. that good drop could potentially be a lot more than the lsp that you currently have. that is why i have an interest in this.
-
Personally, I disagree. I'd love to miss a saradomin hilt and gain 30 ish mil lsp so I can go to corp mass and have a big chance at a sigil.
-
Basically I'm curious as to which method of gaining lootshare potential will be the fastest. I've heard mass corp/mass godwars dungeon and at the same time small teams of the same bosses. I'm fairly inexperienced with the concept so I can't provide a definitive opinion, however small team corp would probably provide the best increase over the long run- what I want to know is what works the best in the short run.
-
Frost dragons are consistent 2m/hr + effigies and not including visages steel dragons can be good money too (butdragon bones are tanking atm) barrows is okay... Most bosses can provide a good source of income. Cluescrolls work as well.
-
It's been years (around 5) since I've done dragon slayer- but after you complete the quest you go to the karamja volcano. Inside the volcano there's a large amount of lesser demons. Near those demons will be a small wall that you can push to get through. That's where elvarg is. I know my directions are poor so I suggest looking up a map of the karamja volcano.

Read guides and take them to heart. ASAP start dungeoneering with high level dungeoneers- there are ways to complete 20 minute larges (though I personally can only key a 45 minute). It's a hard skill to learn and it just has to be learned through practice and experience. As for floors... you small complexity 1 5:1 every dungeon until 5 before your max. Then you do complexity 6 large 5:5 dungeons until you max. This is repeated until your max floor is over 35. At this point you c1 floors 1-30 and do larges until max. I'm 99 dungeoneering so I c1 1-30 and then do 19 larges from 31-50. This is generally accepted as the way to dungeoneer to maximize experience. Always dungeon with groups. It goes a hell of a lot faster. There's not much else int he way of specific advice that I can give. Read guides on tip.it (not the skill guide- read the player made guides.) and start learning.
-
You don't know that he's going to allow all forms of hybriding do you? You have until he gets 99att/str or whatever to bring your levels up too. take advantage of it. 1mil stakes aren't that much anyways. don't stress too much.

Top 3 most useful skills to get to 70 for a kinda noob player?
Mini_Spawn replied to Intermagma's topic in Help and Advice
I'm not sure why you suggested prayer and summoning. How is he going to go about affording either of those? he'll end up broke. I only have 64 summoning and get by just fine. -
Top 3 most useful skills to get to 70 for a kinda noob player?
Mini_Spawn replied to Intermagma's topic in Help and Advice
1. Magic the ability to teleport and cast other useful spells is invaluable imo 2. Runecrafting provides a steady base of cash. Difficult to level but entirely worth it. Once you get past 70 you'll have enough money to fund other more profitable methods of making money 3. Another gathering or profitable skill Slayer, mining, woodcutting, fishing, hunter now you have 2 base methods of acquiring cash that you can swap between. Again, once you have a good base (10m) you can begin merchanting or killing bosses etc to get bigger profits. You can't merchant without a steady base. .... for the record 131 combat 2085 total lvl total wealth of probs 150m -
Found a fantastic way to make money off of scammers
Mini_Spawn replied to Intermagma's topic in Help and Advice
It's risky and for 500k profit every 2 hours? hardly worth it... try spinning flax for a more reliable source of income. OR get your stats up and kill frost dragons ^.^ -
Prerequisites (note that none of these are REQUIRED to complete the clue- but theyll greatly help your effort) -Desert treasure completed -58 magic -70 ranged -1500+ skill total Suggested Inventory *note that no clue is shown because at the time of writing I didnt have one* Sextant/watch/spade/chart/clue Runes for freezing spells from the ancient spellbook 3-4 rocktails/other food Saradomin brews Prayer pots/super restores Staff of light Suggested Equipment Head- Mystic hat/ghostly hood (its cheap and gives magic bonus Amulet- Glory (teleports past 20 wilderness) Body- Dragon hide Legs- Dragon hide Boots- mystic Gloves- mystic/forinthry bracelet Ring- ring of life Primary hand- nothing Secondary hand- Saradomin prayer book Cape- God cape/legends cape Step 1. Know your entry and exit routes Use the map and your knowledge of runescape to plan the quickest way to get to your clue and back. I do NOT recommend the use of the teleport obelisks- pkers frequent these. Use jewelry teleports and teleport levers to get where you need to be in the wild. Because you are going to be on the ancient spellbook, I would recommend learning where these teleports take you. I've labeled where the ancient magicks teleports will take you on this map. Anything boxed in red and filled with yellow dots is multi combat. (yellow dots because I felt it was confusing which side of the lines were multi combat otherwise) the yellow dots are otherwise insignificant and are randomly placed. Paddewwa (lvl 54) teleports you to edgeville Senntisten (level 60) teleports you to the digsite Kharyll (level 66)- teleports you to canfis Lassar (level 72) teleports you to Ice mountain Dareeyak (level 78)- teleports you to level 23 wilderness on the far western side of the wild Carrallanger (level 84)- teleports you to level 19 wilderness (graveyard) in the middle of the wild on the western side Annakarl (level 90)- teleports you the ruins in level 47 wilderness on the western side of the wild Ghorrock (level 96)- Ice plateau teleport Dont forget that you can use the canoe near edgeville (for getting into mid level wilderness) Step 2. Prepare beforehand- know your enemy The average pker will have highly specialized combat stats and every other level will be fairly low. Use this to your advantage- Ive listed 1500 total level as a suggestion because there are worlds that you have access to requiring 1500 skill total. These worlds are not usable by most pkers under level 110 (110 assumes a maxed rune berserker pker- anything above 110 will be a main account pking and will have higher total levels.) these worlds can be used effectively for anybody under level 100 combat. If you are maxed combat or nearly maxed (like I am) these worlds wont protect you from your greatest threats. Quick chat only worlds are also highly effective for evading pkers- nobody likes to be restricted to quick chat only. For that reason, these worlds arent frequented by pkers. Use this to your advantage and just dont chat for 10 minutes while you do your clue. You may also choose to use high ping worlds. High ping worlds WILL make you lag- pkers dont want to lag in the middle of a fight, and lets face it, theyre not out to pk those of us doing clues. They assume theyre in for a hard fight and will take precautions. Understand which areas of the wilderness are multi combat and which are not- this is going to aid you if you are being pursued by a group. It is also to your advantage to walk north in single combat and then east/west into the multicombat area where your clue is located. (this is already on a map posted above) Step 3. Stay focused and ready to act This means always have your eyes on the mini map looking for white dots- you can choose to log off if you see one, however you risk running unprepared into another pker as soon as you log onto a different world. This can be avoided by having a noob account scout the new world for you- I dont particularly recommend this as it takes forever. Keep your run energy above 50%- run until you get to 50% and then allow it to recharge. This way if you run into a pker you will have energy to run. Step 4. INCASE OF ATTACK Allow the pker to skull on you. Make sure he attacks first. Using my method you will be risking a lot more than your cluescroll- this is extremely important. Ive listed 58 magic as a requirement so you can use the freezing spells on the ancient spellbook. You can also use the snare spells on the standard book, however I find these to be ineffective. When traversing the wilderness ancients is the way to go. After the pker skulls on you, attempt to freeze them using your highest level spell. Be cautious of other pkers if this is a group- only use a single combat spell if at all possible. During this period of the attack the food you should be consuming is your rocktails- thats what theyre for. Dont use any saradomin brews yet- they lower your magic level. If you are initially attacked with melee immediately equip and use your staff of light special- this will halve their melee damage for the next minute. Note that you should not have this equipped prior the attack- you do not want to single yourself out as a target. With your staff of light special activated you have 1 minute to tank with your brews and run to the nearest teleport spot/the edge of the wilderness. The brews are there specifically so that you can do this. Protect magic if theyre using freezing spells- but switch to protect melee as soon as you become frozen. During this time continue to cast freezing spells on your opponent- if you can freeze them youll prohibit them from attacking you with melee and pursuing for up to 20 seconds. If you are attacked by a clan dont waste your time casting Ice spells- immediately begin drinking saradomin brews and activating your staff of light special and RUN. You should have an escape route planned for while youre walking. If you are attacked after receiving a casket- OPEN IT. Youre guaranteed 1 treasure trails item, and if it happens to be a third age piece its high alch value will trump anything else youre carrying, this means that your protect item prayer will protect it instead of anything else you are carrying. Random tips You may also choose to use a buddy (offer 5-10% of your reward for their help if theyre reluctant, or offer your services for their next clue scroll in return) Your glory can still teleport you until level 30 wilderness Buildings can be used to create a 10 second space you need to log off (ie running up and down stairs etc) however, this isnt recommended unless youre far away from a spot where youre able to log off The wilderness agility course may be used as an escape route- its unlikely that pkers will have the agility level required to enter. However, use this at your own risk- Pkers may be able to farcast while you cross the bridge to the entrance (This needs to be checked) This may seem like a lot of work simply to protect a cluescroll- but it may be worth your while in the end. A lot of whats said here will become intuitive as you begin traversing the wilderness with a higher level of caution. (ie as you become more experienced in the wilderness you wont have to pre-plan an escape route, you just know where to go.) However, it is still worth your while to know exactly where you will go and what you will do when you are attacked- if youve planned ahead even if you freak out youll be able to act quickly. Forests can be used to your advantage- mages cant cast through trees. Run through them or find a spot that is surrounded on 3 sides by trees. Feel free to rate/comment/criticize. If Ive forgotten anything Ill add it ASAP.

Yes, that's right. Mini Spawn can in fact bank random event boxes Because I know I'll be flamed by non believers- my account is around 6 years old. I used to save my frog tokens from the old frog random event because they were useless to me and it amused me to see how many i could get. They were still in my bank when random events got updated and the tokens were replaced with the random event boxes. I can take them out but I can't return them to my bank. I've taken a few out before.... there's no experience lamp, however there is the usual other rewards (charms etc). I leave them there because it looks cool imo (: -

97 att/def at same time + 130 combat. WOOO! 98 attack and defence at same time. WIN :D This one's really old but I love it (: was rightttt after I got 99 magic.
