But there's no emphasis on what an accomplishment it was *because* they were white, nor is there any inference that anyone of Caucasian descent should feel a personal sense of pride in their accomplishments. /this. I'm sorry, but I nor any of my ancestors oppressed blacks, or owned slaves. I don't have a problem recognizing the accomplishments, or struggles, but when does my ethnicity get recognition? (and the whole "you get the other eleven months is utter bulls**t). We'll never truly have equality when we give, even for a day or month, reason for one group to be more "special" than all others.

So you're telling me you killed on average 3-4 waterfiends PER minute? One every 15-20 seconds?

I got a late start since I left the chaos tunnels and then went to the cavern. Not sure how much more than an average of 60-70 an hour you think would be realistic. My best was 170 or so but I usually average 150. Granted that may *seem* low but I don't believe for a minute that the average is much higher. I'm sure people have POSTED they do 100+ an hour or something, but it's pretty common knowledge there's bs factored into most people's posted stats. I also tried soul split. with no protection from mage or range my health bar went down faster than I could replenish it with food. No doubt I just need some practice.

LOL I must have dome something wrong. I got my a$$ kicked. I lasted about five minutes before I was out of food. I was wearing Karils, and when I had on deflect magic, I got nailed with ranged. When I had deflect missiles, I got pummeled with magic attacks. Turmoil only served to speed up my demise. Yes I used extreme defense and strength and a Zammy spear. I wound up in the ancient cavern and ended with 133 crims. Not bad...

Shhhh!! Don't convince people to not leave them on the ground. Seriously...great way to make tons of cash. Bring a BOB and camp out even if you don't have the slayer level to kill abby demons.

How can you dislike his films? They're all amazing. D: You must not have seen Batman Begins then. As awesome and exciting as The Dark Knight was, BB was twice as terribly dull and drawn out (and ridiculous). It was like the Hulk movies. Took FOREVER for him to be Batman and by then it was a major drag. Blech. Nope. I've seen it and I thought it was awesome, even when I had seen The Dark Knight first. Granted it wasn't as good as the Dark Knight, but I still thought Batman Begins was very good. Been watching the trailer quite a bit lately (I'M SO EXCITED!) and everytime it finishes, I get a bit depressed. Why is the summer so far away? :( And it doesn't help that the Hobbit comes out next year as well, and the Avengers and Brave. [bleep], 2012 is going to be amazing. Meh. To each his own. They could have shaved 45 minutes of backstory. Who doesn't know Batman was orphaned, left with a huge trust fund of money and trained himself to fight crime? We didn't need half the movie to explain that.

It's about 50/50 and typically on weeks when there is a wildy penguin there are two. This week in fact there are three. And when I played (Wednesday night) there were plenty of little children pking everyone who was penguin hunting. The majority of penguin hunters clearly had nothing worth taking but were still getting jumped left and right. It must be some kind of rush knowing you're making the game crappy for some random person. :roll:

Which do you think is better for the triple charm drop? I average between 150-170 at Waterfiends. Dust Devils don't drop crimsons nearly as often but they're WAY faster to kill... Thoughts?

First sentence starts reasonably. Second is an understandable point of view. Last sentence sends it all to hell with a gigantic leap from left to right while tripping over your own feet in the middle. If you don't like pking, fine. But you're now allowing your dislike for the activity taint your reason to an insane degree. Why? Pking is a very childish activity. Everyone speaks of how you can get penguin hunting exp, and the like *without* going into the wilderness. You could also argue you can get rewards from killing monsters in dungeons rather than ruin other players' experience(s) by pk'ing them. So why would someone kill another player? Machismo? Or just the simple act of taking advantage of an unfair system? Whatever the reason it's pretty childish. Maybe it's not the age, but the bullying like mentality that pkers has leads me to believe they are pre-teens or slightly older. It's not really an insane conclusion.

They weren't 'fair' they were 'stupid'. You consider them fair because they were easier to kill/run away from than the average pker. This was never their intention. They could even be made to flee with a summoning familiar scroll! Sorry, but the wilderness was not dangerous with revenants. It wasn't even remotely challenging. It was as empty as a park. If you think that revenants were challenging, then your skills are woefully underdeveloped. And if you think having absolutely no chance at winning or escape is simply "dangerous" then you are ignorant. Danger implies a chance of survival however small it may be. And Runescape is not a game of skill. It is a game of who can put in more hours per day at building your stats. You know, it seems odd that someone complaining about overly leveled pures has 99 mage, maxed melee, 97 range, and if you're really worried you could just take a pack-yack full of brews... I mean, except for a steel titan, or maybe really expensive gear, I can't think of anything a PK'er would PK you with that you don't have or have easy access to. If I'm wearing Bandos, a mage could annihilate me easily with a few clicks. Metal armor=extremely weak to magic regardless of melee level. Entangle/Teleblock/ then about three hits with earth or fire surge and it's all over. This from a good distance away where I can't even make an attempt at fighting back unless I happen to have brought range equipment or runes of my own. Last time some little kid attacked me I had 20 sharks on me. I barely escaped eating all but four of them. You are right though it is odd that RS should allow the pvp system to be so skewed. Makes no sense. Only thing I can figure is they're really trying to capitalize on the 11-15 year old market being that's the mentality that attracts pkers.

Yes but there at least was a fairness with fighting or running from revs. You stood a fighting chance. Revs 20 levels below you didn't have the ability to teleblock, freeze, then kill you in 2-3 clicks. Pkers have that ability. I've seen it, and I've (almost) fell victim to it. With revs the wilderness was dangerous, not impossibly unfair. That's the difference.

Sorry, bot-nuking lowered the amount of bots, but look at how few members there are anymore. Most worlds are WELL under 1,000 members, many in the 2-300's. There were very few bot programs prior to the update, most of the botters came well after the wilderness/free trade update. There were some crude macroing programs and auto-clickers, but not on any large scale. A lot of people quit since the wilderness was brought back. Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not. I just think back to the PVP worlds that existed during the years the old-style wilderness existed. They were often all but empty. At most on a good day you'd see a few hundred members signed in there. And, as a rule I don't go into the wilderness, but some activities, such as Bork, Penguin Hunting, etc... REQUIRE you to do so. Some of us just want to play the game, not get attacked unfairly by some preteen who plays 11 hours a day. It's fine to put things in the wildy that are easier to get to, or are a more abundant resource than in the non-wildy (rune ore, green/red dragons, etc), but there shouldn't be anything in the wildy you can't avoid going in the wilderness for. Make the risk worth the danger, but not an unfair necessity.

Hardly true. While PvP is better in WoW, trust me when I say they have their fair share of 'moronic childish taunting'. As for everything else, well, I honestly don't know how to take it. It makes very little sense. Rather than actually criticizing PvP in runescape I think you just don't like danger when you go out into the wilderness... I don't like the danger. It's really unfair that a player can use a mage spell to freeze and teleblock you, swipe you once with a ddp++, dragon claws twice, and your dead. It's no wonder RS membership has plummeted.

Pk'ing sucks. It should be like WOW, you can only fight another player if you are challenged and accept. BUT, Runescape is not that way unfortunately and even moreso, full of 12 year olds. SO, you have to deal not only with the pk'ing, but moronic childish taunting. Or, stay out of the wilderness. I haven't gone there much at all in the last year since they brought it back. I'll not let some 12 old mage pure take my stuff. Runescape has gone downhill since they brought it back. You can tell by how few players there are anymore. Must have killed their membership. Hopefully they'll get rid of it again soon.

Well I took the plunge. $35 mill is far from my whole bank but it made a dent. Anyways, used it on Abby demons. I did seem to notice a faster kill rate but then again I was having to pray soul split more to keep my health up so it's a toss up. BUT I'm happy, it does look pretty bada** and I was truly getting bored of the bandos' look anyway. Thanks for all the input peeps.
