The Back Room
I don't understand. It seems like regular "western" style magic, except instead of people having pointy hats, they're just bald. EDIT: And the elements seem restricted AND the people make funny exaggerated motions when they do anything.

I can wait for a high quality campaign. Roleplaying in DnD is fun. Remember when we were interrogating that eyeblade?

I substituted cleave for weapon finesse. That complements the reach of the Drow chain well, meaning that theoretically, if I were swarmed by zombies, I could take 12 of them out in one round. :D EDIT: Turns out I need great cleave for that. :( EDIT: Replacing cleave with weapon finesse again. :P [Hide=Jen] Jen Sonla Female Drow Cleric 3 Chaotic Good Representing Retech Strength 14 (+2) Dexterity 16 (+3) Constitution 10 (+0) Intelligence 10 (+0) Wisdom 16 (+3) Charisma 16 (+3) Size: Medium Height: 4' 10" Weight: 95 lb Eyes: Red Hair: Gray Skin: Tan Domains: Sun Fate Energy: Positive [Healing / Turns Undead] Total Hit Points: 16 Speed: 30 feet Armor Class: 13 = 10 + 3 [dexterity] Touch AC: 13 Flat-footed: 10 Initiative modifier: + 3 = + 3 [dexterity] Fortitude save: + 3 = 3 [base] Reflex save: + 4 = 1 [base] + 3 [dexterity] Will save: + 6 = 3 [base] + 3 [wisdom] Attack (handheld): + 2 = 2 [base] Attack (missile): + 5 = 2 [base] + 3 [dexterity] Grapple check: + 2 = 2 [base] Light load: Medium load: Heavy load: Lift over head: Lift off ground: Push or drag: 33 lb. or less 34-66 lb. 67-100 lb. 100 lb. 200 lb. 500 lb. Her father was a warrior of Lolth and her mother was a rising Priestess. She was supposed to become a priestess herself and rise through the ranks as her mother wanted to, as supposedly, she had very bloodthirsty attributes. When she first began her training, she realized that there was no point in being the servant of a deity whose self proclaimed mission was to kill everyone, which eventually meant her servants. She fled to the temple of Eilistraee, the chaotic goddess of the Drow, Lady of the Dance, and the Dark Maiden. Eventually the sect was destroyed by the warriors of Lolth, and all the supporters of Eilistraee were forced to flee. Jen fled to the surface world, where she hopes to wait for the day when Eilistraee would finally triumph over Lolth. What time are we starting btw? I might not be able to make it this time around, or I'll be late if we start at 24:00. Hopefully this campaign isn't too expansive that I can't jump into it.

Napoleonic Hegemony
Then I shall fight for it with the fervor of a person who just realized that all the conflicts between Russia and the Ottoman Empire have been over that piece of land. Workers of the world, unite!

Napoleonic Hegemony
I'm sure there's a reason why guns were preferred over crossbows, right?
-
Napoleonic Hegemony
Well it looks small enough. How valuable is it? :S If it is valuable, then I demand that I own the Crimea, because of its historical value!

Well here's one from the SRD: http://www.d20srd.org/indexes/equipment.htm Most of the things are under adventuring gear.

Dungeons & Dragons
I've already stated that I don't need the masterwork. :P
-
Dungeons & Dragons
I figured out that masterwork only gives a bonus to attack rolls, not damage rolls like I needed. It's two handed with finesse too, so I can apply one and one half str bonus for the damage. http://www.d20srd.org/srd/equipment/weapons.htm#masterworkWeapons

Three hundred I believe. Also, I am getting a holy symbol (silver) and some clerical vestments with the money I have left.

I was actualy thinking of those. Strelets ftw!

Dungeons & Dragons
Yah, Earth should get the misc stuff. Actually, I read your post wrong. I thought you were saying that I couldn't have a Scorpion chain at all, when you were actually saying that due to its rarity for the normal, a masterwork one would be almost impossible to find on the surface. :D

Napoleonic Hegemony
Sounds fine to me. Could we have premade unique units which replace an existing unit (like Household calvary instead of Hussars for Britain)? Maybe they'd have a small niche that they would excel at better than the replaced unit.
-
Dungeons & Dragons
Pleeeeease, it adds character. Besides, how about this: (I'm still okay with just the normal chain though) "It is not the weapon, but the warrior holding the weapon!" (Funny accent) I like the chain because it makes perfect sense for my character (a Drow), and it isn't that weak compared to the strongest weapons, especially with the trip and disarm bonuses. Otherwise combat will stay "whack whack whack", instead of using grapples and trips and stuff. I have darkvision, so no need for sun rods. Maybe some ropes and stuff.

Would it be possible to make a communist revolution based on an agrarian society rather than an industrialised one? I figure that it would work with huge communal farms instead of factories. I can look that up (the HRE thing). Also, what happens with Russia, which doesn't need an overseas colony (Asia is a next door neighbor).

Twisted silk is a light armor which gives you two AC. It's expensive compared to other light armors because it has a relatively high maximum dexterity modifier.
-
Dungeons & Dragons
Gives it a +1 on attack rolls. That will really come in handy. Scorpion Chain, Drow, is only 1d6 damage, but it has reach and threatens adjacent squares as well. Also, there's a bonus for trip and disarm, so I think it's worth it. It also fits with being a Drow.

I don't understand what you're saying. Before, you were saying that tribes should inhabit America, China, and Russia. Then I asked why, because there's nothing special about these countries during this time period. Also, Dusty meant you could choose ANY country, from small to big.

Dungeons & Dragons
I want to add masterwork quality to my Scorpion chain. It's likely the first and last weapon I'll be using, so might as well make it good! http://crystalkeep.com/d20/rules/DnD3.5Index-Equipment.pdf

I might be a bit late to the session, depending on when it starts. I have a cello lesson at 22:00, lasting until 23:00. Then we usually go to eat, so maybe that'll last to 24:00. Oh, I am changing my purchases because I just realized the awesomeness of the Scorpion Chain, Drow. Twisted Silk - 400 gp Scorpion Chain, Drow - 25 gp (might be masterwork) Long Knife, Drow (x2) - 30 gp Hey Earth, I was wondering if I could borrow the 300 gp you have spare. I'll pay it back over the course of a few adventures when we get our looties, with interest. ----- Also, question for Ross. I forgot, do the bonuses from ability scores add to damage?
