Today...
Maybe his internet is so slow that googling has become a hassle. Today, I went to the park and played three hours of bughouse chess against my friends. I lost the match 4-3, but considering that I was playing two players at once using the same time control, I still think of it as a success. Now I am sitting on TIF, getting introduced to the off-topic forum. It's very interesting. Lots of the players from the tavern came from off-topic, but I joined in the tavern first, and now I have put my toes in to test the waters in off-topic.

The worst thing you've ever tasted?
I would have to agree with American cheese. It just doesn't have the quality of a good Swiss cheese.

Pirate Bay and MegaUpload Escape Domain Seizure by US
I think that it's terrible that the government of the United States can do something like this. I think that the United Nations, or another international agency (since the UN isn't known for doing anything except peacekeeping) should monitor the internet and set an international set of laws.

The Back Room
Keep in mind I was really nitpicking. It took me close to two hours of general thinktime (time where I just randomly think of stuff) to come up with that. They could do character count.

I would like to applaud the awesome posting skills of our Taverners. Here we go: Overall top posters (in the top 100): Archimage - 5th Ross - 20th Retech - 35th Rocco - 40th Sere - 53rd Dusty - 62nd Doom - 65th Mather - 74th Grim - 80th That rounds out the top 100. We are still holding our own in posting even though Tavern posts are no longer counted, at least since the stealth update.

Well a teensie thing would be when you're a bit authorative in Hegemony on things decided by a moderator (using should and deciding figures) . It's not really a big deal since lots of people do it, but if you really wanted to nitpick about stuff, that's basically the only thing I could think of.

Well the Tavern isn't exactly the place to look for strictness and self improvement.

Napoleonic Hegemony
It seems to be that this can be easily solved by a simple rule: Technologies can be researched by not used before the date of its actual invention. For example, someone could start research on flight for use in the military, but until 18-- when it was actually used, then the research only accumalates. Then when we pass the time when it is actually used/invented, then all the years of research are factored in to see if you get the technology or not. This would apply to different stages as well. So you might be able to use a prototypical hot air balloon, but it certainly wouldn't help much until several decades later when they become reliable.

Napoleonic Hegemony
Imperial Russian Expeditionary Force 5,000 Line Infantry - 5 million 4,000 Skirmishers - 4.8 million Led by General-Count Sergey Vyazmitinov (Winter specialist) Total Cost: 9.8 million (This force is in Canada, awaiting the return of the American leader) Icu, are you interested in trading your infantry commander General for one of my winter specialists? It might be helpful in the Americas, since your troops are based in Canada. ---- Russia is sending troops to help Britain with their American problem.

Napoleonic Hegemony
I'll purchase ten generals and ten admirals. That way I can have all the selection I want. Can they gain traits over time after combat? ---- Also, if I got military instructors from other countries, could I get the level of my troops up to the European standard?

Napoleonic Hegemony
Lower quality? In what way (Morale, Discipline, general fighting strength) and by how much? Also, can I ask for my vassals to send me troops or do I get an income boost for them?

Celebrating 1 year of Hegemony
Well there is Avatar and your Delta V thingy.

Napoleonic Hegemony
That's not the Prussia we've read about in history books. :P Oh Dusty, could you announce the thing you said you were going to announce? (The first thing in the PM)
-
Napoleonic Hegemony
I know, but it seemed like you weren't doing anything about those darned rebels. :P
-
Napoleonic Hegemony
You know that the thirteen colonies are rebelling, right? Oh Dusty, few things you forgot. Vassals/personal unions and starting Generals?

Napoleonic Hegemony
Love my massive budget. On the positive side: Russia is now accepting applications for low interest, variable rate loans. Even the most pathetic country can afford to build a fleet worthy to rival England's. *loads of fine print here*

There's nothing you can really do. The only thing I had to change about myself was that I didn't use hide tags before, making huge text walls.

Napoleonic Hegemony
It overpowers the Holy Roman Empire though. And look at the Americas. :P

I still don't understand how your forces managed to get into Indonesia and hold even part of it. I had fifty freakin supercarriers! Fifty! The US Navy has like...five or ten. -calms down- Yet I don't regret destroying the world with anthrax bombing. That's what happens when you use superweapons against a nation with superweapons! A world without a powerful Japan is not a world at all!:

Dungeons & Dragons
What time are we starting (if we're playing)? Also, are these creatures undead?

Well...another thing you could do with six dimensional shapes is to graph it on six planes. It's like graphing complex numbers on a complex planes. Lots of cool stuff there.
