  1. Honestly, with the changes they made in Pathfinder, oversized weapon wielding was already gimped, so it's not unbalancing to allow it. At least that's what seemed to be the overall consensus.
  2. *pops in* That's actually not the case in Pathfinder. I thought it was somewhat like 3.5 initially, but there is actually an archetype of Barbarian that specializes in wielding ridiculously large weaponary that has no use past level 12 (well, compared to another Barbarian archetype) because by that level, its reduction of penalties goes higher but the size of the weapon it can wield does not (although, people are expecting errata). *pops out*
  3. I was actually reading an interesting article about how the increasing diagnostic prevelance of autism/aspergers is a result of human selective breeding. (Tendency of people to marry and produce kids with similar people) The new concentration of female engineers makes engineer pairings more likely, and the characteristics of aspergers happen to be more prevalant in engineers (and thus, their pairings would have a markedly increased chance).
  4. I am interested about hearing more, for the sole reason of Nex's reaction. Please, go on.
  5. Pssh, if the Germans colonized and gave us their language, we'd actually have some good opera flying around. Also, this reminds me of an old Italian proverb. "Better to live one day as a lion than one hundred years as a sheep."
  6. That's just lazy. :P
  7. Unfortunately, your link to information is for a less than reliable source. You see, it can be edited anyone, such as unreliable people like non-Americans. As the most powerful and more awesome nation, America's (and thus, the only correct and acceptable view) perception is that Great Britain *ahem* is a -semicohesive state that can be barely called a country. We act as its steward because we enjoy a lasting reminder that our pseudo-Democratic "people's power" republic continues onwards into the next century, while the dying "nation" of Britain clings onto the rock that is slowly sinking into the sea. No need to thank me. You're welcome.
  8. I was eating and crushing Europe beneath the heels of Austrian boots! (After playing smaller countries, it seems much easier to play as a warmongerer with a decently large state). America is a multi-cultural state, meaning that it can take in a small amount of immigrants and take credit for all of the world's accomplishments. And Great Britain wasn't even around in 1689.
  9. The piano and violin are just playing in unison.
  10. *Gasp* Archi is interested in some sort of math *Gasp*
  11. Quick, it's a trap. The biggest pitfall that you can fall into when arguing someone is using their pseudo-science as part of the discussion. If you start using their own bogus terminology, you're just playing into their framework.
  12. Well I don't believe that international law is truly international unless everyone accepts them. And with that guy in Syria and Gaddhafi still around, they probably aren't truly international. :P --- And serial killers aren't violent? What?
  13. I think most of your arguments, Resistance, are based on semantics. If you define Cleopatra as the living person with a certain set of characteristics living in this universe, then yes, the situation could not happen by definition. --- And you know that the theory...is a theory, right?

Many diseases are caused by parasites. As a viewer of the show "House", you should be aware of this. :)

And the melanin present in human skin would help block sunlight, thus only making it viable for the fungus to infect white people. It's like the anti-Columbian exchange. Now the Europeans are getting the deadly diseases.

No, not at all. Keep in mind that the zombies that you are envisioning include using human locamotion, meaning that it would have to keep muscles and such somewhat alive. It would run out of energy within the week. Not only that, but the area of leaves for trees far exceeds the vein fungus in sunlight capture, mainly because it's DESIGNED FOR IT.

I think all of these theories assume that evolution will somehow make it more evolutionarily productive to take over human populations and use them as its main or sole method of reproduction, compared to just infecting people through spores and such. And if spores work as well, then we're screwed regardless if we can defeat the zombies. --- And considering that these assumptions are already huge leaps of faith as it is, it probably gives the leeway for theories to be somewhat far-fetched as well.
  18. I've just found that in terms of Pathfinder, I don't fit with the tavern that well. Best of luck
  19. That's why I asked you to homebrew a less broken and tailored version of VOP instead of what was written. Indeed, my intention was not to play a virtuous and ascetic "monk" like character, but merely to remove myself from the arguments on loot. (Which I later found out from you, that it would not do) But that doesn't really matter now, considering I won't be playing, but just wanted to clarify.
  20. Well, it's broken in the sense that while it tries to adequately compensate the character with AC bonuses, feats, and special abilities, it does not actually do so. Many of its abilities don't scale effectively with character level. For example, many encounters are designed in a way that it assumes that characters of certain levels have certain abilities. For example, dragons often necessitate flight, but VOP characters cannot get them easily. And also, it can be read in ways where you're not allowed to use doorknobs or something. Hence why I was asking for a homebrewed one that actually made sense. Ironically, monks are one of the classes that are least capable of using VOP, because they already have bad class abilities.
  21. Actually, I'm going to pull out. Grim looks more interested.
  22. Ah okay. I'd like to request the Soulknife class from the Psionics book. Linky: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/classes/soulknife EDIT: And the Pyrokineticist prestige class: Linky: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/psionic-prestige-classes/pyrokineticist (But I would like to refluff it)
  23. ? I was thinking about combining soulknife (which manifests its weapon psionically) and some sort of non-broken homebrew version of Vow of Poverty that Wyvren comes up with, so I don't have to deal with that loot crap that I always seem to end up in with you guys. :)
  24. Wyvren, will "Psionics Unleashed" be allowed? It's a 3rd party from Dreamscarred Press, I believe.
