[Discontinued]An Ocean of a Problem
I look forward to a group of paladins chasing us. We are mostly of the tavern good or tavern neutral alignments, so their smite abilities do not work, and they are bound by their strict codes. I'm more concerned about bounty hunters using some underhanded tactics.

Okay, I will figure it out. My character sheet is almost finished and I should be able to send it to you either tonight or tomorrow. I don't have much of a preference either way for retcon or new, but it took a really long time to get into the group with the accusations of being a gnomish spy. (Haha) Although if the group is being reassembled, then it makes more sense to be a newcomer and leave the legacy of the old Jen intact, as the personality of this new character might have more darker sides. - Also, it seems that the character is turning out more debuff-heavy with a side of battlefield control and gravy on top, but I will still be bringing along healing supplies should the need arise. Be warned that it is not super heavy duty healing, so it will not likely be helpful during a battle. If someone brings along a cleric, hopefully we can get some heavier duty healing there. And everything is completely thematic! :D

I still suspect that our economic systems are just isomorphic forms of the traditional pyramid scams. Edit: And I was already assuming that Grim was still playing, but now that I think back, I realize that it wasn't the case for the past few sessions. Thing about witch and sorcerer is that they seldom overlap.

What character role are you planning to take? Also, as the transition from Episode 2 to 3, would it also be the appropriate time to create a new character? It has recently come to my attention that the winter witch archetype (...if you see where I am going with this) is available and unlike the beginning of the game, someone is also not filling the arcane spellcaster role because Nex will probably not have enough time to play (if I interpreted his words at school correctly). I am personally considering two possibilities for how this character is introduced, tying into the mirror resurrection deal: 1) The resurrection made Jen unable to conceal the fact that she has actually been a winter witch all along. She is curious as to the workings of the magic that the party has been dealing with, seeing as witches aren't terribly welcomed, even in magical society. This also explains the coincidental glider crash; it might've been engineered. Or alternative, if retconning is not prefered: 2) After the wearyness of campaigning, ranger Jen finally decides to retire with the pension that Sable Company Marines receive during retirement. Meanwhile, someone else has also been snooping on the island... --- As for mechanics wise, the reason witch is more interesting that wizard is that even though witches lack the awe-inspiring spell list of the wizard, they are more versatile in the support role (healing hex comes to mind) and even if they run out of spells, they have the endurance of hexes. Also, witch is a very interesting character archetype. :D

Cover for the international politics book should've had the Eiffel Tower on the bottom. :P

^ Were they just run of the mill dice or were they of note? I saw there was an interesting one made of depleted uranium somewhere.

Merry Christmas. Now enjoy an old relic of the cold war that could've also applied to any conflict in Hegemony. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLBXhxuEN1c "Mr. Rocco, please don't MOAB bomb Tokyo"

[Discontinued]An Ocean of a Problem
Question: Wasn't I supposed to level up two sessions ago? I am kinda confused how this works, but I thought I was supposed to be getting closer to the party. :P From what I understand, I leveled up one session before the party last time, so I would level two sessions before the party this time, then three sessions before, and then I would be all caught up.

Questions: IRC? Yes or no? Puzzles are dependant on the kind of thing you are doing them on? (Like would repairing a piece of alien weaponary, which might rely on engineering + math, differ from creating a new chemical, which is more like balancing equations. Or is it just all anagrams?) Difference between science and engineering? Can you research your own technology with puzzles/improve your stuffs? Space is more of a lighthearted game, so I don't mind having different commonsense from Archi. One or two deaths doesn't really matter. Just gotta stay out of the way of Archi's logic and view of reality. :P

Surprisingly, I agree with Mather. The point of the Tavern was community, not solely to play roleplaying games. It was to play roleplaying games with community. There are many boards that I play on other than this one for the games, but I still stick around because there's still the chance the community will be revived.

Are we still playing on Sunday this week or today?

[Discontinued]An Ocean of a Problem
I'll be absent this week because I'm going to participate in a math tournament. Good luck with the tomb.

[Discontinued]An Ocean of a Problem
I suspect that I might already be in the location of the "wet ones", because that's how getting lost and knocked unconscious generally turns out. Since I am lost without either light or my bow and death is a very likely eventuality, I was wondering if I would be able to drop in with a new character in the event of Jen's death, and if so, what level would she be starting at?
-
[Discontinued]An Ocean of a Problem
Oh, I wasn't supposed to level yet? I still know the basic stats of my character before leveling (basically -1 for most things and then minus the feat). And central standard means that you're still the same in relation to the rest of us in the US affected by the clock change?

Roll to Magic!
Jen just avoids the slimes and hurries ahead (2 actions of movement).
-
Roll to Magic!
Jen stabs at the slimes (using two actions, so two strikes). And might be a good idea to clarify the system before you continue on.

If Ross can do Sunday evenings and not Saturday, then I'm okay with that too. I can only come maybe an hour or two (depending on if it starts at 7 or 8 pm CST), but I don't want to be a burden on the rest of the party for when I can or can't play. And I wouldn't want you (Archi) to lose game sessions because of that, since this is the only Pathfinder that you get to play.

[Discontinued]An Ocean of a Problem
The only thing for me is that I have to shut off the computer around 8 PM CST. And Monday afternoons are still school time.

[Discontinued]An Ocean of a Problem
For clarity, is this change affecting this week's session? And could you (Wyvren) please roll a d10 and tell me the results? It's for my hp roll.

Roll to Magic!
(This is how it works, yeah?) Action 1: Jen enchants the sharp end of her fire poker to produce extreme heat and create sparks when stabbed. Action 2: Jen continues down the hallway.

Roll to Magic!
Okay, here's my new character sheet: Name: Jen the Arcanist (Arsonist?) Weapon: Fire Iron One Handed? Yes and No Currently Equipped: Basic Clothing HP: 15/15 CON - 5 SPD - 15 MAG - 20 CHA - 5 LUC - 5 Starting Gear: Charcoal Robe Armor (Not sure defence bonus, but don't want a speed penalty) --- Jen wakes up and tries to piece together what happened.

[Discontinued]An Ocean of a Problem
Friday, I would be an hour late if we started at 2pm CT, but I'm free on Saturdays.
