The Brazilian leader has been incapacitated by the accidental use of poisoned needles in his/her acupuncture treatment. It quickly led to cardiac arrest and severe brain damage, resulting in the leader's unfitness to rule. (I'm not going to argue or make a scene because this is your game and you should be able to run it the way that you want)

I don't think I'll be playing Rogue Trader. The lack of a SRD kinda bothers me, and I don't think it's worth anyone's time to type up all the rules for me.

Errr, I was going to be attacking because you cancelled the agreement. Okay, so I won't be attacking and you won't be investing in SA until next reset. EVERYTHING IS AS IT SHOULD BE. If indeed it was Grim that warned you, he was sadly mistaken. I bluffed so that he would give me information on whether he had spies in my country and acted like I had missle silos, which I didn't at the time. Now I do, because I thought you were breaking the deal and investing anyways. So I will just go decomission them and everything is fine and dandy. ---- And I never had nuclear weapons, just fyi. As a friendly tip to show that I am actually be honest here, it is a good idea to decomission your above-ground nuclear reactors. When there are nuclear reactors around, it turns every ordinary weapon into a potentially fall-out inducing nuke. Everyone can go home now; nothing to see here.

Germany has broken its compromise with Brazil. Do not invest in South America, Germany. You have been warned. The clouds of war are gathering and you have seeded it.

Well we could just produce one of Mather's giant solar plants. It's only 1 billion and provides 20% of energy needs.

Brazil and Germany have come to a negotiated settlement regarding the investment issue. There will be a day when ICBMs soar through the skies of South America and Europe, but today will not be that day.
-
Hegemony
I am sure that you don't want to jeopardise your accomplishments thus far for one measly holding in South America.

If your objective is to create a market for hydrogen cars, then it would be better just to release the technology and let them convert for themselves. I think you are missing what I am trying to say though. Investing in South America gives me casus belli against you, and will cause Brazil to oppose Germany at every stage in the process. ---- Comparatively, Germany doesn't JUST sell cars. It could just as easily sell other items to the vast market that would be South America, if you weren't going with the global economic thing.

Hegemony
The point is that South America has already been heavily invested in. There is a difference between global economic power and empire. Brazil and its allies would be happy to trade with Germany, but not if it seeks to place its flag on South America. Your strategy tends to make a lot of enemies.

So there's no reason why you can't do it somewhere else? Same amount of money either way.

Why not influence European countries instead of coming over to mess around with South America? I would like to work with you on many issues, but it is difficult when you are perverting around in my personal bubble.
-
Hegemony
The point is that you were investing, thus netting Germany influence. Basically owning anything in South America is a no-no.

Hegemony
There is a difference between trading and investment. In this game, it seems investment is tantamount to takeover. Like I said to Wisp, we welcome German trade, but keep your investment out. (So you can export your cars or whatever) Similarly, I don't think you'd appreciate it if I swooped in and tried to invest in France.

Oh, I didn't mean that you couldn't sell hydrogen in South America. I was just asking you not to invest in South America. We would love to have Spain as a trading partner, just not one that is building influence in the region.

Just remember to stay out of South America. :)

Nice drawing! I know it's a sketch, but it looks much better.

Dear Germany, Please get the hell out of South America, or there will be war. Love Brazil

Okay, never mind. :P I was expecting this giant reactor complex with giant walls and guards, only to be hit by a rain of ICBMs and cause a meltdown. Wouldn't such a large nuclear power plant require enormous funding though? Nuclear power is already subject to huge amounts of regulation and cost over-run, which would be further amplified if it had to be kept secret and underground. Unless it was a government-run project.

OOC: Nice show by Dungeonal Brazil mourns the deaths of its brave news team, caught in the crossfire to bring breaking news to Brazilian viewers. --- Thanks Germany for the 3% growth boost. :D

The larger they are, the more they have cash to perform the overhaul. And the sheer amount of hydrogen to fuel the US economy + would be staggering to create the transport infrastructure from Spain to the US, because of the extra precautions compared to oil. OOC: Troops are very easy to replace, I think. Especially for low prestige nations, they are very cheap.

The Back Room
Well, it would be nice if you could outline some more rules than the basic magic, though I wonder why we are not allowed to multi-magic?
-
Hegemony
This is a bad idea for most people involved for this simple reason: creating a dependancy on a fellow taverner is BAD. Also, considering Spain's relatively low GDP, any country can afford their own hydrogen economy, in one or two resets. EDIT: Isn't Argentina winning the war?

Are you basing this off a DnD system?
