  1. I want to get into this social vibe, Nex. :) Besides, it's fun to get into touch with people.

    -Waits to begin-
  3. I text really slowly. I don't text much, but I take a long time to do so.
  4. That's assuming that I don't do a lot of texting, which is not possible.
  5. Sorry, but I don't think I can actually do this anymore. Another major time sink, cellphone, just opened up. If a passing moderator sees this, please lock the thread.

I think you're playing a totally different game Earth. :P Totally unrelated, but I got my first cell phone today. 25 dollars for unlimited texting.

Jen wakes up and travels just out of town to face a single training creature, so that she can really understand her skill. (I don't what the system is, so I'd like a practice battle just to try)

Lol, the history of the Drow in...the world that the Drow came from was that they formed social structures easily, but those social structures encouraged deceit and backstabbing, which would still contribute. :P A scorpion chain is just like a ten foot long light chain with a halberd/scorpion stinger looking piece of metal at the end of it. Longer reach than the halberd + more powerful + swifter.
  9. I'll consider it, but the cost was supposed to remain flat. Yes to Cairo though. :P The size of the army was supposed to be able to increase as you gained more provinces (since there are a LOT of provinces, and people will find that they are reclaimed relatively quickly until fighting begins). Of course I could just keep track of it for you and give everyone's budget daily along with random events, battles, and reactions to whatever projects and techs you completed.
  10. Yesh, noted. :) Also Nex, that might be possible, but you couldn't control them either, at least I don't see a way.
  11. Jen attaches an axehead to her polemace, so it can slash and smash. Elisa tries again, while dragging Isabel away from the tree.
  12. Actually dust blocks sunlight, if anyone wants to read the "global dimming" article. Now that we have more things to capture the stuff we can see, the gas is actually affecting us more.
  13. Bigger concerns than listening to the minority of scientists ascribing to your theory.
  14. ... ... ... I think there are bigger concerns than that.
  15. Also, Trol is correct that Canada will be receiving lots of new farmland, if the Earth warms by even a few degrees. Which reminds me, the US should kick Canada's butt and steal that land before it happens.
  16. What does that mean? Like are they like virus-borne reproducing zombies or more like brain-dead corpses that shamble around randomly attacking stuff.
  17. Global warming is not catastrophic. First of all, it exists, but the way to fix it is to stop it, not find a way to flee the planet. Secondly, rich countries with resources like the United States have the capacity to deal with all the issues that global warming presents. Moving off the planet is rather rash. Even if we were moving off the planet, don't expect that any one of us is going with them. + I don't think you really understand global warming at all.
  18. That is because we are exploting our land. Instead, we should grow sustainably to only feed people within our borders. Econationalism if you will. Japan's population is an example. It is decreasing rapidly, and soon their island will be self sustainable. That is what we need to be doing. We won't be forced to move either. Your preconception is that the human race moves as a whole, but if we look at it individually by country, powerful countries will dominate weaker countries to gain as many resources as possible, before the move to space is ever envisioned.
  19. Then some will die from starvation, since the population is exceeding the carrying capacity.
  20. Then our powerful nations will hog resources and a population equilibrium will be reached. Giving food to poor nations leads to increased population which leads to more food being needed. We just need to stop giving aid, and promote sustainability.
  21. There's no need to expand into space. Wealthy countries that are the ones funding space travel are not suffering from overpopulation, so they have no reason to expand into space. Besides, it can be better handled in other ways.
  22. Yep, that's okay. Keep in mind its population would be lower than other cities, possibly by 5 times or so compared to the biggest ones. What kind of zombies were you thinking of?
  23. Personally I skim/skip backstories unless they are truly important. For example, Dungeoneering games do not have backstory, except for where the world is set. In Underworld, it's just that the world is dark and evil instead of pretty like the actual world. In Tale of Two Cities, it's just that most of the world is wasteland. Also, the Tavern was one of the fastest posting (and highest per capita posters) in the entire forum, but that was usually when there was a war or a crisis or an argument going on in Hegemony, so one of those just needs to start up again. Moderators just like writing long backstories because it makes the thread look good + it's fun. :D If you notice in our profiles, our post counts are astronomical, and we're all in the top 60 or so posters in the forum or so.
  24. Nex, I can add Dublin, but considering nuclear apocalypse, I don't think those animals in New Zealand are alive anymore. Cairo will be added + a few African cities that I forgot to mention Will do Dungeonal.
  25. Perfect, thanks! I'll be scrapping Victoria and San-Fransisco though, because they aren't significantly large or they are close to another large city. Adding Sydney though. If you want to start choosing your cities, you can do that as well. Generally they will have some characteristics shared in real life. Since player cities are more important than NPC cities, you can sorta summarize what you think your city should have (Financial center, Fishing heavy, etc) and I'll keep it in mind. I'll probaly have a full NPC list finished on the weekend.
