Hegemony: A New World
For the capital province, you mean that we can't station troops in other provinces?
-
Hegemony: A New World
So we'll have like 40,000 soldiers maximum attacking us? Uh oh. What's their approximate value?
-
Hegemony: A New World
Okay, awesome. I just don't want my settlers to be owned repeatedly as they try to colonize a place that I can't invade. Could we get an idea of how large the "average" native army would be?
-
Hegemony: A New World
Then how do you get rid of the native armies? Edit: Yippee :)
-
Hegemony: A New World
Can we send troops with our colonizations, to protect the settlers? Also, can you invade an uncontrolled region and take it by military force? And what does the port do? :)

Hegemony: A New World
So basically budget hasn't actually reset yet?
-
Hegemony: A New World
My colonies will be claimed right before the reset, for the record. 80% chance of success for each, right?
-
Underworld
Jen goes in whatever direction to find a settlement, especially Drow or Dwarven.

The Back Room
I had to reboot my comp, so I need to reinstall dwarf fortress. Does anyone still have that old link for the newb pack?

Hegemony: A New World
Okay, here is my new military. 5 Generals (I'll just take the first five of the list you gave me) 1000 Musketmen 250 European Calvary [hide] [/hide]

Hegemony: A New World
Okay, I'll actually take closeness. I'll send a new map of my province colonizations so I can actually afford it.
-
Hegemony: A New World
Question: For closeness and overstretched, is there only a bonus/penalty for 1 and 2 bordering provinces?
-
Underworld
Jen heads off to find a Drow settlement.
-
Hegemony: A New World
I was under the impression that overstretched was one and below, and closeness was two and above? There's no point in having overstretched if you can't make tendrils. May I change my ability?

Hegemony: A New World
Each province is worth 2 million for your budget but they cost 3 million to colonize. With the closeness bonus, then it should end up at 1.5 each. Oh Dusty, I'm not sure about what Dungeonal thinks about this, but I don't think half of your provinces are close to existing provinces. :)

Hegemony: A New World
8 provinces = 12 million

Hegemony: A New World
Pro admiral for sale! Only 500k, a bargain!
-
Hegemony: A New World
Are we allowed to trade generals?
-
Hegemony: A New World
Those will be provisional, and they will be completed right before the reset, so that should be an 80% success rate for each. Also, here's the military I will be purchasing for 4 million. Ten generals - 1 million 1000 Musketmen - 1.5 million 500 European Calvary - 1 million 1 Basic Cannon

Underworld
I like the general magical "strength" enhancements, to make an item tougher or whatever, but magic doesn't matter either way to me.
-
Hegemony: A New World
Oh, question. Are uncolonised provinces controlled by NPCs? So can you conquer them?
-
Hegemony: A New World
Wait Mather, can you hold that thought? I want to discuss something with you.
