Overlording 2
The goblin starts making the blast furnace/forge, while the elf and dwarf are doing their thing. Jen and the elves make some really large troll traps, and place them all over the mountain. The intelligent troll goes off to abduct a few humans, making sure not to stray too near the human village. The elven villages are asked for 10 more archers.

(How many swore fealty?) They are told it is alright, but that we need soldiers. Jen asks for ten archers. She also asks for 5 piles of logs, ten tanned hides, and a few gems. No matter what happens, Jen and the party head back to the volcano. The dwarf heads around looking for more dwarves, who are asked by the dwarf if they'd like to join.

Dorf does the digging for metals, which the goblin will use to make the furnaces. Jen travels with the mountain elf to the several mountain elf villages, and tries to convince them to join her under the banner of Armok, to expand the power of the mountain elves throughout the world. If they are interested, then they come back with her to the volcano fort. If some are not, they are coaxed into joining by the fact that the ones that are joining will become the leaders of the new empire and that they'll be all left out.

Jen keeps the location of the village in her head, before returning to her base. The goblin is tasked on creating a blast furnace, for the production of steel. Jen meets with the elf when she gets back.

The dorf starts digging into the mountains nearby, and prepares some plump helmet farms. (Yippee!) The elf scouts around the mountains in search of more mountain elves to join. The Troll comes with me as I head out to find a random village. The goblin works on a pulley system, for handily dropping stuff down the volcano. Name is Mountainhomes.

Okay, fire away. I don't need special units, as I could trade that in for what I wanted. :)

Ten story ent that throws around acid like a toddler throws around playdoh. This game doesn't work well with PvP, hence why I suggested the cooperation.

Okay, I'll have to rephrase it better. My mountain elves are better in archery than average, but worse in melee. My dwarves are better in melee than average, but worse in archery. My "true" mountain elves are great in sorcery, but terrible at the other two. Unique unit will be the Priest(ess) of Armok, which is basically good at everything.

Well I was thinking that the ice golems would be like stone golems, just with some flavor. My bonus was going to be the above. Basically that a few mountain elves would be elite. Everything else is pretty much normal.

And elves/dwarves. I don't really need a bonus for mountain fighting. Basically here is what I was shooting for: True Mountain Elves are few in number but elite troops. Best in sorcery (but above average in others too) "Mountain Elves" are average in number and average troops. Best in archery Dwarves are average in number and average troops. Best in melee Stone golems are just...stone golems Trolls are living in the mountains and need to be trapped and tamed or something Magma-anything requires sacrifices Magma Golems are naturally magma, so it would just goop around armor and kill stuff Ice golems would throw giant ice boulders and stuff For the player cooperation thing, as a suggestion, maybe choose something we're all opposed too? The original thing that took down the overlords? Don't we start as individuals anyhow? These things just come along later? And I'm ready to start.

Well generally that's what the conqueror wants. If the conqueror has the power to wipe a country off the face of the map, then logically they would at least prevent the person from easily breaking the shackles.

If the issue is of balance, then I think dropping hundreds or thousands of people into a volcano as sacrifice makes perfect sense. As you recall from the last game, you had to sacrifice people to create the ents/golems/whatever. Basically doing the same thing here. And if PvP is the only obstacle to this, then I'd rather not have PvP, just Player cooperation. Then maybe some goals that all the players can work towards, like the destruction of an empire, or whatnot. And you stated all my regular units would be weak, which isn't that spiffy either. I'm basically losing strength for interesting variety.

Thing is that we don't really need another copy of Hegemony. The fun part was having a buncha overpowered crap fighting other overpowered crap, or fighting against a lot of NPC villages/cities. This seems too Hegemonyish/Pvp than the old one.

So basically it isn't like last time? Last time I made two story-tall iron golems and had dragons.

Name: Jen Sonla, High Priestess of the Mountain Elves Weapon: Bladed-pike (Sorta like a halberd, but it's easily used as both a mounted weapon, a slashing weapon, and a pike) Alignment (because this works for me): Lawful Neutral Race: Mountain Elves (We can part with at most 100 rocks butchered) Adviser: Floating spirit ball, a physical manifestation of Armok, God of Blood Banner: Volcano on a misty background Armies: Evilish House: Sonla Special unit: Mountain Elf Priest(ess) Basically skilled infantry, which are equally skilled mounted. They generally work in small groups. They practice sacrifice, dropping the disobedient, old, and weak into the sacred volcano, for the almighty god Armok! Then they call forth denizens of the deep (lava golems, phoenixes, etc) to help them. Their favored squads compose of dwarven infantry, elven archers/sorcerers, goblin cannon-fodder, and troll/golem shock troops.

You can get a 5-star hotel in Bangkok, Thailand for eighty dollars standard, or fifty dollars if you get a special deal. I think it's just that you got a crappy deal and went to a bad hotel.

Not true Spork. These jobs are so menial that only workers from other countries would take them. So it would take jobs away from Third-world countries.

It's certainly plausible. The brain is so complicated we probaly couldn't assume one thing or another. For example, removing one hemisphere of the brain can actually make some patients with severe epilepsy and other neurodegenerative disorders smarter. I don't think we should be arguing on the science right now.
