  1. Sexist! BURN HIM AT THE STAKE.
  2. LF friend to become a mod. Are there ever mod elections? I hear Saru's up for moderatorshipness, I think I'll have to donate to his campaign or start sending spammy political emails or something. At first I was:  Dupin thinks I'm his friend! Then I read Saru. You are my friend. I said Saru because he's ridiculously un-moderator-like. He might even be banned right now.
  3. I haven't read the "Today" thread in at least a week. Someday, I might care about those posts I haven't read. If I for some reason decide to open the thread, the "Go to first unread post" button will perform its function, but only once - if I leave, it will skip to the posts that have been made since I last visited, even if I haven't read any of the previous pages. I don't have time to read through a week of semi-blog posts. However, the longer I wait, the longer the unread section gets. Do you see my dilemma? I can't enter the thread, as I'd miss potentially interesting posts, but I can't postpone it indefinitely either. So I did some thinking and came up with a solution: All those guys with purple names, they probably haven't seen a good idea in months. Imagine just sitting around clicking the refresh button and wondering if any TIFfer will show up with a suggestion in this barren subforum. They could create a feature that solves my problem. I've called it postmarks, for lack of a better name. Here's how it works. For the sake of the example, we'll say the thread in question is "Things That Annoy the Hell Out Of You", and I haven't read it since February 6th. I enter the thread and click a button on this post, marking it for future reference. I then go to the most recent post, click a button there, and viola! I now have marked off a section of the thread which I would like to revisit, and can post and read recent posts as I like. The feature would also be useful for marking random things which need revisiting. For example, -a useful gif -An interesting video I have no time to watch -A long post which I'd like to read later -A funny video -A hot picture After clicking the button on each of these posts (which would go somewhere up on the top right of the posts or down near the reply button), I could then find a list of my postmarked posts on my profile page, in one of the tabs similar to "Recent Posts by Dupin". It would show a preview of each of the posts, just like the recent posts thing does, and they would displayed reverse chronologically by the date/time they were marked. I could then click on the post to see it in its thread. On each postmarked post would be an "Un-Postmark" button where the old "Postmark" one was. I think that covered everything. Sorry about my spelling and grammer errors, English is my 17st language.

  6. http://store.steampowered.com/sub/6931/ Holy [bleep]ing [cabbage]. Too bad I didn't care about buying any of this stuff anyways. Also, Portal 2 for $50? Fat chance. I'll just wait until their next sale when they offer it for $2.50.
  7. You can normally check online - there might even be a thing to track the progress of the package. What's the quickest/easiest/bestest way to get a custom rank? On an unrelated note, does anyone have any highly compromising information on any of the admins?

I have no idea what is going on. Graham crackers don't exist in New Zealand. I feel devastated when there's no seltzer in the house. On a brighter note, I'm eating chocolate covered strawberries.

Find a spoon, then - the bread is just a vessel for chocolatey hazelnutty goodness. Speaking of chocolate, I got some truffles for V-Day and they're truffles. I have no idea what is going on.
  10. I'm thinking this one looks good. You could also do something like "Godisgreatandyou'regoingtohell.com". It would certainly attract a lot of readers.

Graham crackers are a surprisingly delicious snack. Even more surprisingly, my cats agreed.

Pasta salad is good, as are fruit salad, egg salad, tuna salad, potato salad, and caesar salad. Other than that, I leave it for the rabbits, mostly.

  15. Oh hi. I literally just finished watching that vid on another site.

You all and your newfangled breakfast items - your parents should be ashamed. Granola bars with chocolate? Frosted Flakes? I would say "kill me now", but why not wait twenty years and let the obesity getcha? Whatever happened to Cheerios, Grape Nuts, and Shredded Wheat?

I have, actually. Don't you think it would be great to have a thread for that in OT? I wonder why nobody's thought of that. Today I plan to listen to a bunch of CDs I found in my dad's collection. I'm currently working on Gould's '55 Goldberg Variations.
  19. From my understanding of it after reading Reddit and the New Yorker over the past week, the powder keg was the ineffective and corrupt government, Wikileaks was the cord (they revealed a lot of corruption in the Middle East, including Egypt), and the spark was the riots in nearby Tunisia, Lebanon, and other Middle Eastern countries. The rioters are largely young artists and journalists and it appears to be a movement to the left. The Egyptian government has been limiting access to the outside world (internet, smart phones, etc.) by shutting down ISPs operating in Egypt, including international ones. There HAS been violence, and plenty, especially from the police sent in to prevent the riots. Many non-Egyptian journalists have brought home reports of being beaten, loaded onto a truck, robbed, and kidnapped, all by the local police. [spoiler=A pic from Reddit]

Today I got the PS2 from the basement and started revisiting all my old games with my 2 younger brothers. My mom's in a bad mood, so my computer turns on and off at wierd times, and I spent 7 hours in Boston (literally, not including commutes, which were about an hour or two each) doing psychological testing just to be told "You have nothing wrong with you psychologically and are extremely intelligent." Thanks, but no thanks, I'd rather have gone in to school to take the exams I missed. But, most importantly, 1000 PAGES@@@@
  21. A post.
