I think at this point jagex have done all they can to influence the vote and 500k wont be reachable. Then again thats probably a good thing, throwing content updates at an 07 server could really damage it in the eyes of people that want to play it Maybe. But I really had no problems with GWD. IF they hold a poll and see what the majority says... then I see no problem with some side updates here or there... Maybe every now and then add a few quests as well, why not? Quests would be fine since most don't affect skilling/combat and the ones that do would need to be handled with care. I do wonder how well polls would go, I know people are divided on the GWD issue and although no GE is something that seems very important to 07 supporters, I wonder how many *new* 07'ers would try to vote in the GE too for pure convenience.

There's an actual ingame screen now (like there were for sizzling summer etc) with an option to vote. I wonder if that just sends you to the page or actually votes...

No, you are not the only one. I'm lagging like hell to. I even missed a screenshot of the shady figure at ge because of it :( edit: oh, you meant lag in the bestiary :razz: I think its a problem with the bestiary, and even if you close it your other processes will get lagged to hell because of it, seems to be what mines doing. Restart pc and don't go near the bestiary I guess :S

so 150/780 is still a small minority? That's 20%. A minority can be 49.999% or it can be 0.0001%. 20% isn't a "small" minority, it is just a minority. And since that 780k includes bots well, this "minority" is only getting bigger. Bots can still vote if told to, and I wouldn't be surprised if they did. Regardless I don't think the proportion of bots is that high anyway, it wouldn't make financial sense for botting companies to pay for bots they didn't use. Perhaps Jagex realised that 780k was closer to the *real* number of members and set the highest margin at 750k for that reason.

Display names for sure. Post-Nov 2010 players don't even have login names, and Jagex updated RSC to support display names, so I see no reason why 2007 servers wouldn't have them. Thanks! That makes sense :) Now will Tip.it bring back their 2007 site & forums along side this current version? ~ Captainkidd If you check the news on the main page currently there is a link to a web archive version of the 2007 website :) The current forums are probably sufficient for any 07 needs too

Wow votes really bottomed out overnight. Surprised it stalled so early, I guess we'll see a slight recovery over the weekend with a few more people playing anyway.

Here's why those ridiculous assumptions are made: Those people who quit because of EoC went to play private servers. Of course they will come back for 2007scape. You have to remember 2007 scape isnt the same game as 2012 scape which isn't the same game as EoC. Just because people don't like EoC does not mean they'll like 07scape, it is a VERY different game to modern rs in many respects.

Chincompas are like 100gp. Armours are down in price. Claws are 1m. The list goes on. Just check out the GE section of Runescapes site. Look through the lists. Runes are dirt cheap. Little use for deaths and bloods in main spellbook etc. Claws were a level 60 weapon and never should have been as valuable as they were. Gwd armours are pretty much the same price they've always been, and dragon armour is now at more representative price for its utility. Nex tier armour has fallen and become more accessible, which can only be a good thing. Magic and Ranged should never have cost lots of money in runes and ammo to train when melee was free, and blood/death runes are simply a neccesary loss for this to happen.

A player who mashes abilities in pvp against someone who uses them properly will be squashed like a bug in no time. I really don't think the 07 discussion should be all about EoC vs normal combat anyway, since these nostalgic sentiments have been around for years. I guess EoC just acted like a trigger, down to too much change in one go.
