  1. How are you not 99 ranged yet Also don't forget Livid farm before 99 farming! :D
  2. It is true for all abilites? The only ones it doesn't effect are instant cast abilities, which makes sense, and possibly snipe but I haven't used that in so long I can't be sure of that. IIRC its only the case for some of the abilities marked "Combo attack". I know flurry allows you to run from it, but rapid fire doesn't. Damn inconsistencies. Edit: Trying it out now and a single click won't halt most combo attacks, however double clicking away will. Odd.
  3. It would be a design flaw if it was true for all abilities. I think the tradeoff is quite well balanced, a highly powerful ability at the cost of no movement. It adds more judgement on when it's appropriate to use them, and gets the player to plan ahead.
  4. Even if you personally haven't done DT before TWW, your character has already experienced it, since DT occurs before TWW in the characters timeline. If you were to do DT after TWW, it can be considered a flashback. I guess TWW would've been very difficult to make i they allowed for every combination of quests done and not done in dialogue.
  5. Crossbow has 42 ranged attack compared to 47 on the bow. According to the old bone bolts entry (http://web.archive.o...rs2item_id=5253) their base shop price is 3gp increasing to 18gp when they're bought out. Don't know about the speed though but bow was likely faster
  6. Sorry, but I don't understand how this makes money? If you bought them off the G.E, who do you sell them to? The summon tutor/other summon shops buy them from the player for 25 ea :)
  7. Dual-casting mage with virtus wand+book should be good for it too. Though that's pretty hard on the bank, and DW ahrims might not be enough. Failing that, Dual chaotic crossbows w/royal bolts.
  8. Imo their solution with TWW was unnecessary, although complicated for some people. Jagex got to the point where they wanted to make a game-changing quest with the possibility of multiple storylines branching from it, and the endless chain of each new big quest requiring basically the quest cape to complete wasn't sustainable. Also it's not THAT hard to get your head around. Silske/dragonkin/staff of armadyl quest/lore sounds great though, it'll be good to have their involvement added

Seeing friends tonight for the first time in ages :) Probably just end up playing Risk or going to the driving range, but growing older means I'm seeing them less and less unfortunately. Also an interview for a receptionist position at my local sports hall on friday after MONTHS of searching. Not sure on what to wear, smart-casual maybe. Also I lurk OT WAY WAY too much and basically never post. So hi :)
  10. Still, for 1-2 minutes worth of work that 25k in any skill is brilliant :P
  11. Strength now contributes level*1.5 to overall damage on 2h weapons as part of balancing 2h with dual wield. There's been a tier/2 damage reduction for 2h across the board to compensate Edit: BCP/Nex sets still only apply their standard damage to a 2h, whereas they provide 50% additional for an offhand too. Shame
  12. I don't think there's any quests that *have* to be set after it. Quests like ROTM/WGS/Void/char etc are all set before TWW, since TWW starts the sixth age. So, playing TWW before completing one of those quests means that your character has already experienced the previous quests, however you just haven't seen it. If you complete the quests after TWW, they can be assumed to be played as a form of flashback. Aside from the slight staff of armadyl problem (though silske could have just fixed the staff somehow) everything ties up nicely really. There are a few other quests that happen independently of TWW and it's pre-requisites, however I guess they can be assumed to take place at any time. It's probably easier to assume they took place during the fifth age too, though it doesn't really matter. @Netmaster: The outcome is the same regardless. Go with whichever you feel is right :)
  13. http://services.rune...16,901,64440376 [spoiler=TWW & the RS timeline]This FAQ is cunningly spoiler-free and safe to read. Its purpose is to highlight how we are considering The World Wakes to be ‘in the past’; what that means for RuneScape’s timeline; and why you should be very excited about that change. What does the following mean in the newspost for The World Wakes: “as of next week’s update, all future game content will work on the premise that this quest happened in the past”? The World Wakes will affect almost every piece of content that follows it – and not just quests. It will have ramifications for the majority of our release calendar. This change will be seen in updates from next week onwards. This is so that the story of The World Wakes comes thick and fast, rather than losing any momentum. Fundamentally, this means that next week’s update will contain story that continues from The World Wakes. It will take the form of a holiday event, and will be available to everyone in the game. So, it will communicate some of the events of The World Wakes to everyone, regardless of how far they have progressed through that quest. Can’t you release next week’s content without including any spoilers? The dialogue of next week’s update will certainly give you the opportunity to choose whether you hear any spoilers. Unfortunately, while you can control the number of spoilers given to you, the general theme of the holiday event will make the twists in World Wakes very easy to guess. But I try so hard to ignore spoilers! We can completely understand that some of you will want to save The World Wakes for a later date, or you may not have the requirements to start the quest yet. We only ask that you understand why we are releasing follow-up story so close to the release of The World Wakes: continuing the story in a week’s time allows us to change the story of the world dramatically and while everyone is (hopefully) really excited about it. If you are still eager to play The World Wakes without spoilers, we encourage you to avoid any community discussions about the quest, and play the holiday content without choosing any spoiler dialogue. How is The World Wakes going to be considered “in the past”? Surely all quests are only in the past once I have completed them. From next week, we will be considering The World Wakes to be in the past from the perspective of RuneScape’s timeline. I can understand why that may seem confusing! Essentially, from the week beginning the 11th of March, the events of The World Wakes - and a number of other quests - may be referenced in new content, regardless of whether or not you have completed those quests. Why move quests into the past, and why should I be excited about this? Moving quests into the past means that you are not required to play The World Wakes (and all the quests that lead up to it) to experience some pretty cool future storylines. We want the events of the storylines we have coming up to be obvious and important to everyone - even to new players, from the minute they create an account and log into the game. Putting The World Wakes and a number of other quests into the past means that we can affect the world globally, without any quest requirements, based on their events. Why are you moving quests into the past? I worked hard to complete those quests! Of course, and putting them into the past in no way diminishes their relevance or importance. If a quest is put into the past, it's because its events are in some way important to the huge storyline events which are coming soon. If you've experienced those already, then what we have in store should seem all the more significant and - we hope - jaw-droppingly spectacular. Does this mean I can’t play The World Wakes after this week? Will it be removed? You can play The World Wakes whenever you want! We won’t stop you playing it, and it will remain permanently in-game. The only change will occur before the quest for those who have not played it yet: they will receive a small message noting that The World Wakes took place in the past, so they can mentally adjust and understand how RuneScape’s timeline works. That’s it! Will more quests be considered ‘in the past’? Yes. Again, these quests will be prefaced with a small message, letting you know that they took place in the past. There will be no other difference. The quests will still be in-game, playable and we will not remove them. It will not make them any more likely to be reworked or replaced. The message will be added to the below quests in the near future, and we will be releasing a timeline to explain RuneScape’s chronology in the coming weeks. Quests to be considered in the past: • The Lost Tribe • Death to the Dorgeshuun • Another Slice of HAM • Land of the Goblins • The Chosen Commander • Tail of Two Cats • Enakhra's Lament • Fight Arena • Hazeel Cult • Temple of Ikov • Desert Treasure • Tale of the Muspah • Missing My Mummy • Defender of Varrock • The Curse of Arrav • While Guthix Sleeps • Ritual of the Mahjarrat • The World Wakes • The Firemaker's Curse • Temple at Senntisten Think that clears up a few things :)
  14. Grats :P let us know how much they sell for! Looks like they're non-tradeable Edit: Or maybe not :P RSOWiki fails again =/
  15. You sure those aren't the other way round?
  16. [spoiler=DW fixes, free game and run energy changes] The whole "extra magic and range abilities coming soon" annoys me. We all know "coming soon" is a good 6 months of so for jagex =/ Still, hooray for dual wielding!
  17. Always the same reward
  18. 307 days, and recently I'm only playing about 10 hours a week, give or take. Depending on updates that can fluctuate wildly though :P
  19. Probably because it costs way WAY too much pure cash for anyone to even start it yet
  20. 1) Please stop name calling. It's not cool bro. Just makes you look bad. EDIT: referrence to eariler post you made. 2) Yes I would, McDonalds doesn't say "Oh 50 cents short. That's okay". They are ultimately a business and you have to pay the price they say. Now Jagex pardoning the votes is probably to STILL encourage people who have not voted to come in. If the 30k votes still don't show and they pardon it, I suppect they are hoping it will in the short run once players see they are upkeeping 2007rs as if they had got 30k. Probelm is, what if they never get it? That's why it's such a big push now. People want it, just not in the amount Jagex hoped to make a profit and break even. So they pull all these trick just short of poll rigging, and bring more people in, yet it's still not enough. So they pardon the vote in hopes they rest will come... That's the way I see it. Don't get offended, it wasn't at you. Just because it wasn't him it doesn't mean name calling is ok. It doesn't help your point and makes you come off as petty.
  21. Well if that isn't confirmation Jagex were bringing this back regardless then I don't know what is. Regardless it's probably a good thing that the servers are released sooner rather than later, I doubt anyone would want to have a 1-2 month wait :P
  22. As much as you might want it jagex aren't quitting on the EoC :P and imo they shouldn't. I think the more likely reason that they are entertaining updates for 07scape is that a constantly updated game is one of the major reasons people stick with RS, and that should technically hold for 07scape.
  23. When you hit 850k points and unlock the final spell your points get drained to zero. So wishes are only an option if you want to continue training at livid farm for some reason. To be honest none of the wishes are worth the time taken to get them
  24. The last bts video mentioned the next bts vid would be about the quest, so I doubt it.
  25. Sounds more like a bug than a feature. As for the grave thing, clicking the grave timer directs you to your grave apparently, I'm not sure if it auto-interacts too
