There is no "right" way to play, so you can't promote what is right or wrong because it's just a conflict of opinions. This topic isn't for flamebaiting, or trolling staff members. The rules are here for a reason, if they're broken we inforce them. These forums are signed up for willingly, we don't make you.. and when you register you agree to the terms and conditions of this forum. If it can't be discussed with respect and without trolling then the topic can be locked, the OP might have wanted a nice discussion but it's always a mixed bag with heavily opinionated topics. No, i'm sorry...but no There are TWO places in RS where the longsword > rapier....Skeletal Wyverns, and Saradomin Godwars (and SGW is only on solo, Maul is better in teams) Even at bandos, the rapier has a better edge because of faster minion kills, as well as anti-crash with defender A maul + Rapier will beat the longsword everywhere. If you're only getting one chaotic, the rapier is hands down the best. Dungeoneering is always "WORTH" getting up, whether or not you can bare doing it, is another story.

it depends on what rooms you've recently found. If you open a Mono room directly after, say, a Ghosts room, or a spike trap room, there's a pretty good chance the mono shades will be very low level. It's the same with normal rooms. It's like the system tries to go easier on you after you find a "painful" room. It's why you sometimes start opening doors, and there's nothing but level 30 and under monsters in it. It usually lasts 3-4 rooms before they become strong again. Of course, I've seen times were this doesn't occur at all, but it's just a common thing I've seen happen in dungeons.

One gave gave honest advice, the OP declined it and gave a reason as to why, which is fine. The original advice giver responded saying he didn't understand the decline, and why, which is fine. And then 2 people jumped on him for being an efficiency troll.... Not once did the advice giver troll, insult, instigate flame, or patronize anyone in the thread. Nice try though. The OP asked a specific question to which there was a specific answer. If he wished to know his options on how to train crafting and magic he would ask that, but since he obviously already had decided he just wanted advice on the act of enchanting. In that thread I only see two helpful replies (my own and the 11th) and one semi-helpful, semi-mocking (the 12th) out of 13 posts. You can say the "efficiency" poster didn't flame, but if you look at it, some of them were indeed disrespectful towards his approach, and I see a Mod trying to put it to a stop before it got out of hand. The second poster seemed rigid in his notion that everything did have to go as efficiently as possible, and was blind to the OP's question. The fact that someone pointed out that not everyone is obsessed by the "efficient use of game time" isn't calling someone a troll, but stating a fact. I disagree. I don't see any problem with giving alternatives, especially if they are overall better. He never told OP to do in the sense that he would come and make him. It's always ultimately OP's decision, and all wkw did was give him an alternative, and explain why it was better time-wise What!? When was ANY insult made in that thread?

If you look at your RS stats and wealth as a whole, you do need to cannon to be efficient. It is more efficient to cannon your way through slayer, gaining the xp/levels that much faster, then using the time saved to make money with things like Frost dragons and bossing.

Piety/turmoil DOES NOT cut into profits, as it makes kills faster, thus getting drops faster. You make money FASTER using those prayers. Cannonballs do however, it's only mentioned as a way to objectively make slayer more efficient, by looking at your RS stats/wealth as a whole.
