  1. Nice! :D Good luck out there. :) Your reward-spending sounds good. My personal plan though, was to spend it all on prayer towards getting 75 to be able to spend that other quest reward (Blood Runs Deep?) on prayer as well.

lol Never! ;) I don't (and won't!) own a cannon ;) Gu'Tanoth *writes on forehead with finger both forwards and backwards to try and remember the dungeon containing her favourite blue drags......*

It's actually the ogre town directly south of Yanille (the one easily reached by the grapple agility short-cut; sorry, I can't remember the name either. (Oo'glog is much further south.)
  4. No.... I don't think they would. While I'm sure I wasn't in game for the event, this has to be following the Dragonkin etc storyline..... remember capturing red mist to pass doorways? Remember the earth-moving events at the end of Temple of Sennisten? I'm pretty sure Jagex had a lot of the content well into development when they released the first of it last year, just look at how quickly follow-up quests have come in in comparrison to some of the quest series.
  5. Just a general comment.... Unfortunately, no one gets anything in this life for free. If it looks too good to be true, it is! I have seen far too many trusting people hand over accounts to someone who befriends them and then offers to "train the account for them"..... Hello! Apart from the fact that it's against the rules, who but your mother who's paying your memebership would put in hours to train your account for no benefit to themselves?! A new "friend" is usually a scammer..... And even real-life friends can be greedy people who turn on you.
  6. I loved that quest! Favorite quest so far. What room are you stuck on? I liked the challenge and don't really see why so many people struggle with it. Sorry, we're hijacking the topic. Tbh, I have only tried it twice as there was other stuff stressing me out at the time. I'm still at the first room with no fires lit. My games necklace, ring of duelling and hatchet (probably should invest in a dragon one although personally I don't see the millions of value in them :S) protect on death so getting back to my grave isn't a problem even though I typically avoid death in runescape like the plague. I took tuna potatoes and shark for food and was using the baths at Oo'glog. My problem is that I've never played any fast reaction video games. (I'm an adult player and totally missed the genre.) I get into the situation and panic and end up running into the attacks rather than away. As a friend of mine says: "1 rule: you panic, you die! lol". I know a few things, other than practice and patience that will help. I typically don't play on full-screen so need to get familiar with the controls and give myself more view of the area. I also didn't have sound at the time. I've read the differing opinions on whether it's best to collect all the kindling first and then light the fires, or whether you should just do one fire at a time.... idk which is going to work better for me, probably the former.
  7. If you are talking about commercial broadcast radio, I would say it is one-way communication. However, radio can also refer to say CB Radio or the radios used by Amateur Radio operators, the military, sailors, taxi/ fleet drivers etc etc. Those are examples of 2-way communication. Indeed, unless scrambled in some way, the conversations conducted on such radio frequencies can be overheard or listened to by anyone (with the right equipment). [Edit: In the latter situation, radio should be considered multi-way communication as it's often used for co-ordinating different field untis in some kind of directed network or under standard operating procedures.]
  8. You need to use the NPC Contact spell on the Lunar Book, I'm too lazy to look it up, but that's probably where the 75 mage comes in. As for the farming and herblore, those can be potted to start and complete. Did you enjoy Dream Mentor with your stats? If you're good at combat, I don't see why you couldn't.... I'm not good at combat so am rather dreading it even at my levels - that is, if I could only get through Summer's End!
  9. 1. A team cape and my amulet of power that were gifts from a very dear friend 2. Probably my lunar staff. [Edit: It's one of my favourite ways to get around] 3. A Saradomin sword. My goals are far too modest! lol
  10. As an adult woman, old enough to be the natural mother of my teenage step-children who's (supposedly unfair! lol) bannings led to me playing runescape to find out what was really going on in the game, I find it deeply disturbing! I have been asked out in various forms on numerous occasions, usually only when I am on f2p. It seems to happen less now as my combat level increases so I don't think the motivation is greed. Often, it appears to be by very young players who seem to assume that every other avatar represents a person just like themselves. My response to them is usually a polite "no ty, i'm an adult player" and some sort of warning against the dangers of those assumptions. It worries me that these kids aren't being taught that by their parents. Occasionally I'll give a sarky response about being a grey-haired great aunt! (Either usually lead to a demand for my age and then flaming comments that I should get a life..... :S) Some occasions have been from teenage players who just want some focused attention and friendship/ support that they are not getting for whatever (sad) reason in their real lives. On rarer occasions, my "adult player" comment has been met with "that's ok, I'm 18/19/21"..... Those players tend to continue to push that "it doesn't really mean anything.... we just like... make out sometimes and stuff" Excuse me????!!!!!! I am still old enough to be their mother! I have used the internet for longer than runescape has been around as a tool to deal with periods of separation in my real life relationships and treat any text communication as though I were saying it to that person face-to-face. It disturbs me that those players would ask for that kind of thing from another person and then say it means nothing. Perhaps there are some young women out there who are happy to feel the same way just as all of us give differing weights to our real-life encounters. All that said, it was just such a proposition that led to me meeting someone who became an incredibly close (purely) online friend! I was about level 60 at the time and mining near a high-leveled player who I had not been game to speak to other than "Excuse me PlayerX, are you mining the mith?" A random kid asked to be my bf, I gave my usal "I'm an adult...." reply, gave my age, and the high-leveled player jumped in and we discovered we had much in common. :) Goodness knows what other players around us made of the way we played together and the slip-ups of private chat that went public! Internet relationships and friendships have their place.... anyone remember pen-pals?! lol
  11. I just did this making 450 spirit cobras (crimsons) to level 66, then 666 barker toads to 68. I killed the snakes for the skins rather than buying them and made all but 10 pouches into scrolls. I then bought 4.5K of chicken eggs and spent 2 days making cockatrice eggs. At the end of it all, I have more in the bank than I started with. You'll need a couple of mill to invest in the shards. Using the cobras is definitely profitable and cut down the number of toads I had to make, but it's up to you if you think you could make faster cash elsewhere. Good luck with it :)
  12. I played Travian for a while, well enough to be targeted for a conquering.... and lost the battle as I was at the doctors for the event in real time. I found myself unable to be philosophical about the loss, so rather than whine about how unfair it all was, because pvp really is a necessary part of the mechanics of those games, I've deleted from RTSGs for good. A game like runescape allows me to enter into pvp how and when I want to and log out knowing my character will be as I left it whether a minute or a year passes. That was a no from me :)
