Meh. As far as I know, it was only Mather and Hex. And now, everyone has a bad impression. *Sigh* Sometimes I wish they would think before talking...

Fallen Star
Finished update. Moving on! At Charles' request, Zathe hands him the assault rifle. The group continues walking down the hallway, Earth dragging the gangly man behind them, and suddenly stop outside the doorway at the sound of yelling and stomping boots echoing from beyond it. Charles readies his assault rifle, covering the doorway in case of attack, and Zathe steps to one side of the doorway, ready to block possible entrance. Earth props the man up in one corner, then hides next to Zathe.

Sorry, updating front page, one sec.

Zathe reaches towards the man and stops, seemingly conducting a monologue, then puts its hands at its sides and begins asking the man questions. The man seems about to answer, taking a breath, and passes out from lack of oxygen. Zathe pauses, a bit surprised, then reaches down and takes the gun from the man's unconscious body.

Fallen Star
Charles slowly walks down the hallway, followed by Earth and newly re-awakened Zathe MK1. The outer wall of the hallway is slanted, filled with rows of the glass chambers and the occasional set of stairs set into the slanted wall for the occupants of the chambers to get safely to the floor. You see a doorway a little ways down the hall, and slumped against one of the opened chambers is the corpse of a human in a uniform identical to that of Earth and Charles. He seems to be holding an assault rifle similar to the AK-47. Suddenly, the chamber next to the corpse opens, and a rather gangly man in uniform sits up, shaking his head, then looks to the side and grins, grabbing the assault rifle.

I wish I could say the same. I usually end up in bed at around 10:00, but I have to read for 30 minutes to an hour or else just go to sleep. I wake up at 6:15 to get ready for school.

Last action for the night. Sorry, I have an inordinately early bed-time (8:30 is when I'm supposed to be upstairs, I'm an hour late and my parents are getting a bit irritated). Feel free to post your actions, though.

Charles manages to wake up, and rip off a strip from the bottom of his uniform to use as a bandage, which was seemingly added for that purpose. Earth walks over and helps Charles to his feet, and then sets off down the hallway as Charles stretches his limbs to strengthen them, and prevent another fall. The Zathe picks itself up, and notices two humans walking around the area. One rather nondescript human is setting off at a determined pace down the hallway, while the other, a stocky brown-haired man with what seem to be battle scars does stretches near a wall.

Waiting for Ross to post, he was writing a message for a while there, but I'm not sure why he canceled it.

Er, why does it say that there have been zero views for this topic?

Hegemony
Possibly. That, or a bestselling author of biographies, mystery novels, and thrillers.

@Ross: Can do. You will be a relatively humanoid A.I. You are slightly stronger than a human and should probably stay away from water, EMP devices, and open electrical currents, but do not need oxygen, water, or food, and cannot be incapacitated by pain. However, you will need occasional repairs due to an inability to heal wounds over time, and computer viruses can severely damage you. People will generally take you more seriously, but you cannot express significant emotion and will not do well in situations requiring empathy. You are only slightly better with ranged weaponry than a trained Terran Union soldier, as there was a general public outcry toward the idea of emotionless supersoldiers, but it is to such a small degree as to be insignificant. @Earth: No. It has to be something that would plausibly be contained in your current general area. In the future, if your character dies you will have the opportunity to switch to another race that has been discovered. Charles stands up, but almost immediately falls forwards due to the weakness of his limbs and the lack of oxygen, hitting his head on the floor of the hallway. He is knocked out and begins to bleed slightly from the wound on his head caused by the impact with the floor. The ambiguous human who calls himself Earth slowly drifts back into consciousness, just in time to see the other human he spotted earlier fall to the ground, and the mechanical eye of a rather frightening, humanoid robot slumped against the opposite wall flicker and begin to glow.

Eh, I'd prefer it (that way the players have to discover new races through experience) but what kind of creature would you want to be? Nothing flood-ish, please.

You hit the release button, and hear a hiss as the seals on the glass casing release. You push the glass off of the opening and slowly sit up, stretching your tired and sore limbs. You look to your side, and see another, rather ambiguous-looking human sit up and rub his eyes. Through the blazing klaxon, near deafening now that several inches of glass aren't between you and the sound, you begin to call a greeting. "Hello, my name is Char-" you are suddenly cut off as you attempt to take a breath, and begin gasping from the air, thinner than that inside of the casing. You manage to avoid passing out by taking deep breaths, as the air is not so thin as to cause asphyxiation in most individuals, but the other human is not so lucky. They pass out from the lack of oxygen and slump onto the casing next to them, which seems to contain another, sleeping human. You realize that the hallway-like room you are in contains hundreds, if not thousands, of these containers.

Ok, start with your name, description (optional), and starting action. I will reply when I return from dinner, in about 10-20 minutes.

If Mather gets his way, only just barely. I will keep a tight reign on his influence in that aspect :P What I mean is, everything I come up with will be as original as I can make it. But he might add something if and when he mods for this.

The year: UD 53 The place: Colony Ship TUS Halifax Suddenly you are violently woken from your dreams. You hear a faint klaxon and, opening your eyes, see red lights flashing through the thick plate of glass arcing over your face about two feet away. You have no idea what is going on, and can't seem to think straight. You look down at yourself, and see that the glass case extends to cover your entire body, leaving you with barely enough room to move your arms. You notice a small red button next to your head marked "Release." The air in the chamber seems thin, the atmosphere cold, and you begin to have some trouble breathing. You reach for the release button, hoping that it is functional. Note the lack of immediately provided information. This is because I want your character to explore, and learn for themselves. As knowledge is gained by the players, it will be added to this post under categories of the "Knowledge Base."
