  1. While that is unusually clever, we don't know that it didn't deserve to be confiscated.
  2. You find his suffering funny? I don't know how that, in any way can be funny! You're obviously causing him suffering by taking it away and then laughing at that. Wow. Plz leav
  3. Operation Acquire Bluray, stahto!. :ohnoes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IjwtuNCmKQ
  4. I have a burn scar on my leg from using this one laptop. That was a bad day. On the note of broken Ipods; I don't suppose you know how to fix one that's had the volume buttons slightly... Embedded into the casing? I kinda figure I should just buy a new one at this point.
  5. Because the hexly magic compels you thusly.
  6. Just google Dresden Codak.
  7. Soooooo I'm currently at a loss. Using the Gamefly client, I've redownloaded a game (specifically an expansion for a disc game on the computer, Titan Quest: Immortal Throne) I bought a few years ago from Direct 2 Drive. It's been updated for use with the Gamefly client since then, so that bit probably doesn't have any relevence, but I thought it best not to be exclusive. Here's the problem; it won't install. It gives the option to install, recognizing that it has indeed downloaded the game, but when that option is selected it immediately states "Titan Quest is not installed" and "The game install has not been completed." Now, this was a four-hour download that I've had to do twice now with my abyssmal 100Kbp/s connection speed, so I want to step lightly here... I think the problem is that the expansion doesn't recognize the disc game for some reason. This wasn't a problem when I originally downloaded it, so does anyone have a suggestion as to how I can fix this without reaching into the program files and fiddling around with unfamiliar bits and pieces?
  8. I DID THAT TWICE Since when is that EVER the answer.
  9. Alright, alternative solution; How can I make the Gamefly client actually install the game?
  10. Probably not. Philosophy based D&D, in short. ---------------------- Soooooo I need some help with computer stuff. I bought a game with Direct 2 Drive a few years back, but D2D was purchased by Gamefly which sucks. After various and sundry snaffus related to this, I finally downloaded the game... And was met by a message saying "The game install has not been completed" immediately every time I clicked the install button on the Gamefly client. Now, I worked around this by finding the game files, manually extracting them, and performing the setup and installation un-"aided" by the client... But I'm back to an entirely new and wonderful problem. It doesn't acknowledge my activation codes, I can't get a new one from Gamefly customer support (since they're actually a work of fiction, as it turns out), and I'm starting to get rather miffed. Normally I wouldn't consider the concept, and I'm still just flat opposed to piracy, but I was wondering if some method existed by which I could bypass the DRM to, y'know, play the goddamned game I payed for. Of course this is more a question for the tech forums, but I'm more comfortable discussing it here and it's more of a 'can it be done' sort of thing.
  11. Why can't this be real?
  12. I've only read Soul Eater, Cradle of Monsters, Alive, Alive: The Final Evolution (COMPLETELY unrelated to the last one, and no I wasn't looking at an alphebetical list), a bit of Gunslinger Girl, and am about 1/20th of the way through Cromartie High. Which reminds me, all of you must read Cromartie High. All of you. Do it now.
  13. I always thought there was something in the rulebooks about increasing single-shot damage of accurate weapons like with auto or semiauto fire. I haven't been able to find anything like that. My listed weapons purchases should be considered in flux for the time being. Though the Voss-Pattern Flamer will almost certainly stay.
  14. But it was all so good. When does the next season air again? Out with you, filthy har- Oh, right. With that new avatar, I keep thinking you're Loki or Vezon. *Ahem* Yeah, I really liked it. Next season in... 2013. Until then I'm sure the fandom will be plenty occupied making image macros regarding A Certain Firebender's Infidelity.
  15. Yay Grim Always a pleasure to have you in the group.

[spoiler=To the above]Don't forget how it was heavily implied Korra was contemplating suicide too. Aang mentioned Avatars experience their greatest change at their lowest point, and Korra was at the edge of a cliff and mentally broken down. She might have thought of doing it since she believed she was unable to fulfill her role as the Avatar. [spoiler=For the others...]@Squab: It is likely Hiroshi is in jail or totally broken now that he knows Asami won't forgive him anymore. As for her reverse bending, I assume it may take longer given there are priorities on who is restored, deciding if certain people should keep their bending (we know Lightning Bolt Zolt won't get his back) and a whole lot of other things are going to be in the way. As for threats, there are some untouched things like the criminal underworld and the divorcing of spirituality by most people might upset the spirit world. @Nex: Interesting way of putting it, but wouldn't it be easily reverse-able once a healer notices the clots? I am rather intrigued medical tech was advanced enough to where people could have flawless facial surgery, even with waterbending healing being a help.

  19. I do, but the episode hasn't aired here yet. ^Who I was aiming the comment at. Where is 'here'? Are you one of the Aussies?
  20. Weeeeeell then, looks like season one of TLOK is over. Amon's screwed up, Tarlock bleeds drama, Mako's a douche.

I've only seen around half of the episodes. I'm really conflicted about watching the finale in an hour. Should I skip it for now and watch it on demand or wait for reruns or something? EDIT: Watchin' it anyways. Well, now we know who Amon is. Can't say I expected that. EDITEDIT: Ooooooh that scene. That one scene. All of my tears. EDITEDITEDIT: That was. Just. Really. Really, Mako? Just really. Damnit.
  22. You haven't even spent a single throne, much less any exp. Of course I can make it better. :D Sounds like you want an action menu sort of thing? Attack, Defend, Flee, Ultima, et cetera. The Tech Priest has a few neat simple-activation abilities, though a few of them you'll want to be careful with, as they generate Fatigue (when it reaches a certain number, you're KO'd). You won't want Toughness as a dump stat, tank or no. A high Will would also do you good. For some reason most Tech Priest characters I hear about end up with blunt instruments lodged in their skulls, so you might do well with some... 'Discouraging' ordnance on hand. In my mind, that means Solid Projectile weapons rather than the traditional Las guns, but since there's little mechanical difference I'll try to keep practicality in mind. Knowing you, you'll want Intimidate as soon as it becomes available to TPs, though I'm not sure when that is, so it may be impractical... Feedback Screech is one little dealie that might serve to compensate, without necessarily needing any skill roll. I'll start getting stuff together tomorrow. One last thing you want to think about is character identity; Tech Priests are generally portrayed as little more than robots, and I doubt you could do the emotionless thing. Maybe something's wrong with your implants, or they never had the chance to work much on your cranial circuitry, or you're just consummately irrepressible. However you choose to play it, keep in mind that people will expect a sort of cold logic from you, so don't be surprised if they end up being surprised.
  23. Value the people, not the presents. The people might not last as long. Alternatively, don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

I hope he's one of the swamp people.
  25. Finished my character. Retech may have his character finsihed soonish, since I tried to light a fire under his arse thinking the session was today. To Earth: You may want to consider some alternate character options, rather than working with nothing but the base stats. If you want to tell me what sort of character you want, I can find and send you some good options.
