  1. You're not a bad person, Mather, nor an idiot. But I swear to god you dig yourself metaphorical holes like an boring rig See, the problem arose in the first place when you tried to apply precise real-world physics to a game in which I was fighting Space-Russians in their floating interdimensional Space-Castle with a sword made of gravity and MY MIND.
  2. Thanks to the new like feature, I can show my appreciation of slanderous or trolling posts without getting in trouble! Yaaay!
  3. The Legend of Aang is a correct, but ignored, working title alongside The Last Airbender. I have heard it/seen it presented as such before, it is a given name by the creators, not the fandom or anyone else. It's probably why they named The Legend of Korra 'The Legend of Korra'.
  4. I'M CORRECT DAMNIT it's just that no one uses that name
  5. It's also called the Legend of Aang. I've heard the name almost since I first started reading about it online. I assume you watch it pirated on torrent downloads or what-have-you, which would explain why you only know the more common name. You're not right just because you lack knowledge to the contrary. Personally, I prefer The Legend of Aang, more so now given its fit with the title of the new series and lack of titular association with the M. Night Slamajam film. Shitstorm, you say? Is that what the Norwegians are calling it now?
  6. "Avatar: The Last Airbender (Avatar: The Legend of Aang in Europe) is an American animated television series that aired for three seasons on Nickelodeon from 2005 to 2008." You... Do live in Europe, yes?
  7. An introductory course to the fandom of Avatar: The Legend of Korra: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRyVZWlaJsc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnRvHnHruH8&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsC_wwYJe-Y&feature=related I must say I'm rather more impressed with them than the general youtube-fanbase from The Legend of Aang.
  8. So... Is a session running today or not?
  9. Aww, I didn't get the chance to say "Mather, just shut the [bleep] up for once" Oooh We need a dislike button too
  10. If I may, briefly, speak on a tangent; as always, I am impressed by your ability to maintain a coherent and well-thought-out point throughout such a long post, on such a largely trivial and bothersome matter. Oh, right, we're only supposed to 'like' posts now.
  11. Runescape has never been innately 'fun'. It's why a lot of the userbase is young; those with imagination can make any game interesting, and Runescape once put more or less all the developmental effort into making the game a thing of wonder and expansiveness. I'm pretty sure the development team has been replaced by a marketing team by now.
  12. I don't have the password, my fingerprint is keyed to the laptop's fingerprint scanner, which does not show up during safe mode login. I can't download Malwarebytes, it's one of the many sites Chrome disallows as having an Invalid Server Certificate. I don't think a system restore is possible, no backups exist that I know of, I'll check. ... Oh. You know that advice you gave me about entering safe mode? Well, yeah, it's now stuck in safemode with networking login, meaning I can no longer access anything because it still doesn't support fingerprint scans. Anything you can suggest to help with that?
  13. It started with a fake Microsoft Defender alert. I did a manual force shutdown as soon as the message appeared, then restarted. The message had redirected me to a web page displayong the warning, so I hoped it hadn't already infected my computer, but it almost certainly has. I installed Spyware Doctor temporarily to find the cause of this, and it found something called Heur Zero-Day or some such. I couldn't do anything about it though, as this computer has no antivirus... One day later, the computer needs to check the disks for consistency after I had panicked and forced another shutdown yesterday. The process finishes without incident. However, internet explorer displays an error message- something about not being able to find files- on initial startup attempts and then just doesn't do anything at all. Chrome, which I rarely use, still works. However, it displays an invalid security ticket for Gmail and Tip.it, though in the latter case only after I log in. I go to the AVG website and try to install, but I recieve an error message saying "This installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package. ... Also when I opened my downloads folder my copy of winRAR just disappeared after a few seconds. This is a major issue, the computer isn't even mine. I can't even start in safe mode as I don't have the password, only a registered fingerprint. Can anyone help?
  14. http://www.youtube.com/user/DeceasedCrab TNPW post interesting foreign music.
  15. It's there to put an end to quote chains and +1 posts. It hasn't happened recently on OT but it probaqbly goes on in the other forums. I have only ever seen that in LOTPW, though I'll admit I'm not a very widely-posted forumite. It seems like a useless feature, and for some inexplicable reason it offends me. <.<
  16. The 'Like This' feature. It serves no other purpose than to abbreviate conversation, and if used as the staff recommends* it would just leave a poster trying to start a discussion wondering why no one is replying, since he doesn't know people have been liking his post. There isn't a like notification system, right? *In that discussion is often born from nonsense. If people just Liked something, they wouldn't follow up on their viewpoint. Most posts I make start as some such nonsense, then I think about it more and add more of my own opinion. I know this because the new button telling you your number of warning points showed me an old, deleted post that followed such a structure. Okay so there IS a like notification system. Yay.
  17. I think, to add a like to the post, you should have to reply "[forum name] likes this"
  18. I don't suppose my old avatar could be recovered somehow? I miss that old sleek blue theme that I can't remember the name of, but otherwise this update seems alright. (Though I do also miss the double avatars)
  19. On a separate note:
  20. So, what, we no longer have forum avatars? The [bleep]? I don't want the image on my profile as my avatar. Not to mention, I can't just get my old one back, because I created it for Tinypic and didn't have an account to save it to. Also the new themes are godawful.
  21. 6/10 That pokemon always looked cool to me, but they never met my expectations.
  22. Actually, there was a recent Norwegian horror film involving infectious black blood. Also trepanning, Mather, I don't suppose you've had any such medical adventures as of late? I know about the movie because it's titled 'Dark Souls'.
  23. Thanks for the music, Archi. No one here has Borderlands for the PS3, right?
  24. British humor is obviously the next step in evolution, closely followed by the ability to tear the fragile veil of this dimension WITH YOUR MIND. Also, do any of you know bands that sound like Cage the Elephant? I've been listening to their music all day, especially this (try to guess why): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnSp9rgfel8&feature=related
  25. I wish I had arrived in time to make a chronologically relevant post relating to a baked ham.
