Just watched A Knight's Tale. I really rather enjoyed it, silly as it was. Makes me want to build a Cavalier for a Pathfinder game.

I thought that was really a right excellent session. We all stayed in character, didn't break any rails, progressed the plot, made glorious combat, and had seemingly gotten a proper base together before the ground started falling out from beneath us.

Can a buckler wielded with a two-handed weapon be used with Fortified Armor Training to take a critical? It doesn't grant any AC when used thusly, so I was wondering. If so, might save my life, if not, it will free up a feat slot for smashing more stuff. :thumbup:

But I gotta go FAST FAST FAST! (I'll just take the HP) There's this one feat called Furious Finish that says it ends your rage immediately on use and makes you fatigued even if you wouldn't normally be, I figure this means it's normal fatigue so the Tireless Rage ability doesn't help, but what if you're immune to any fatigue?

I was also going to carry a knife of some sort to force an activation. Wouldn't normally be practical, but if I was going up against something that I really would not want to hit me even once, it would probably be the preferable option. And yeah, I tried to put some meaning into which items I have. The Pendant is a symbol of Osirion and Pharasma, whose church Sedrial was formerly a part of, and the reason it injures me in exchange for critical confirmation may be a sign of Pharasma's displeasure at my betrayal. The bit about Wadjet and Apep should be pretty clear given the Cloak description. By the by, the Half-Elf favoured class alternative cannot be taken by an Invulnerable Rager, since it replaces Trap Finding. Can I take the Elf favoured class bonus of +1 to speed per level instead, or should I just go with a health or skill bonus?

One other other other other absolutely final thing; I'd like your approval on the cloak, Retech, I refluffed it and gave it a specific activation mechanic: Cloak of Winding Serpents Aura: faint illusion; CL 3rd Slot: shoulders; Price: 2160 gp Description: Countless, thin strips of hide fall from the split mantle of this cloak, and its clasp is in the shape of an open-mouthed snake's head. When worn by one who has given some of their blood in tribute to either Wadjet or Apep, the cloak gains a special property. Whenever the wearer's blood is drawn, they may spend a (free/swift?) action to will it a sacrifice; the cloak immediately animates, its strands taking on the appearance of phantasmal snakes and coiling through the air around the wearer. This functions as the spell Blur, and may be used for 3 minutes per day, in 1-minute increments. If the wearer is faithful to Wadjet, the snakes appear as regal cobras, glowing faintly and hissing at nearby enemies. If the wearer is faithful to Apep, the snakes are dark, vile constrictors, which move almost as if to crush and strangle them. If the wearer offers tribute to both, the strands wind together in the shape of a single cobra and constrictor, which dart about in combat with one another. These effects are harmless illusions. Construction Requirements: Craft Wondrous Item, blur, caster level 3rd; Cost: 1080 gp

SIDE NOTE TO ALL OTHER PLAYERS Can any of you clown-nosed casters use healing spells? I can't Rage-Cycle if my Health drops below 37 while Raging, and if I'm below the 22 HP mark and my Rage drops out then I die instantly. Every level increases the Cycling and Death thresholds by 18, and that increase rate increases when I get higher tier Rage types, so I need someone who can prevent things from going sour even after battle's over. That or have some sort of resurrection spell handy other than Animate Dead.

I am not taking a Resistance item nor huge AC, though. I was considering going into battle without armor, in a fit of suicidal brilliance. I see you won't be convinced though, so I won't further press the point. I'm considering a switch to an Intimidate build to mitigate the fact that despite my Barbaric, Damage Reducing nature, I could easily end up uncomfortably squishy, especially if I ever rage crash.

Despite that, easy upgrades do exist in the rules and the way you described it is exactly how it works. I was just asking because in the Kingmaker game, you had to send off your bow or sword or summat for a week to get it enchanted while we were still adventuring regularly. Also, Obscuring Mist is 1800 * 1 * 1 / 5 * Charges. I would ask if, used by charge, it would be granted incremental minute use. I rarely would want ten or twenty or thirty minutes of continuous Concealment, but 1-5 several times in a day would come in very handy. Thank you very much, Archi. I would ask... What exactly are those Death Candles again? Why do I want them?

Yes but your Ring of Windy Escape is also a custom item... So, Retech. By conventional pricing a constant Mistcloak would be 4000 gold, but yours doesn't go off of that, so what are the stats and pricing of your version? Also, since you don't allow us to save up, do you allow easy upgrades to existing items? Subtracting the price of Fortification 25% from Fortification 50%, or paying the difference to make a +1 longsword into +2?

Alright, thanks for the clarification. I'm going to keep looking at prices and see if I can find something fitting. One other thing; possible to purchase a Magic Item capable of negating X critical hits per day, Y/N? Came to mind after Archi and I discussed his Ring of Windy Escape. If you'd rather I not get it, then I'll probably be fine with just Fortification armor or that one Feat. One other other thing... Do you belong to the RAW mindset of the Dragon Totem power line granting a bonus to DR, or the RAI mindset of the DR bit being a typo? To continue the endless chain of pestering beyond any excuse of 'one last bit'... A Pirate can be an Antihero, right? Or, Antipirate as the case may be?

Let me get this straight. I'm trying to buy half an item, but since I'm buying half I don't get the 50% discount that half apparently recieved by virtue of (not really) taking up a valuable slot? I mean, it's not as if I can't just activate the Mistmail and put on an Armored Coat (or wear the coat under the mail, silly as it may look...), I don't think there's even anything in the rules about wearing multiple armors...

Does this include the Mistcloak? Because I don't want to be breaking magic armor, and I really want to look something like this: [spoiler=Hide] ... Though possibly of a different gender, and DEFINITELY with a bigger weapon. Also thanks, the blindfold will probably be sufficient.
