  1. I almost mentioned it, but I didn't want to give Mather undue base for any counter-arguments. Since he has... apparently (?)... sided against you, I would acknowledge that you haven't made any egregious journal posts lately. Thanks for making that effort.
  2. Preemptive soothing music;
  3. If I thought it would stem the tide of your inane drivel, Mather, instead of just causing massive problems for the rest of us, I would start reporting your posts. Not everything you post is without merit, of course, but the only thing even vaguely amusing to come from such posts (those in this thread, I mean) lately were Grim's witty retorts. Stop it, for the love of god, I don't care about a single bit of your life save for occasional pity over your crippling narcissism, and I doubt I'm alone in my feelings. Make a blog, post stuff there, and you'll probably find people who sympathize with and appreciate you. Make a blog here, even, links to your posts will display on the front page so all you have to do is think of a vaguely interesting title. DOING SO WILL TURN A NEGATIVE INTO A POSITIVE IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE, WILL BE MORE LIKELY TO GET YOU ATTENTION, AND STOP YOU FROM FURTHER ALIENATING YOUR PEERS IN THE SUBFORUM SERIOUSLY, AT LEAST READ THE TWO PARAGRAPHS ABOVE
  4. Hey Grim, what problems did you repair in iPhones? I'm looking into learning electrical repair or some such, and while I have someone to teach me the basics of computer repair, I don't know anyone who knows sheiss about smart phones.
  5. Figuring out your behaviours? I understand that it's possible to alter your behaviour and characteristics but I Was never aware that people made a conscious decisions about which character traits they want to take on. Yeah, when you're born, you choose two, each parent chooses one, and then the nebulous nondenominational sky-being chooses a fifth. Unless you don't believe in fate, in which case you can choose two, so long as they're not of the same sort.
  6. The long hair looks weird with your long neck. I'm sort of tired of the matter at this point, as I am not possessed of Archi's godlike mental fortitude. I suggest you stop talking about it here, and make your decision alone or with advice from someone you know.
  7. Clothes are made to fit for a reason, a professional should know what looks good as well as natural, that hair does not look good on you, and you should define yourself by, you know, personality and moral traits rather than physical ones.
  8. Mather, I want to help you. I don't think I can, but I would feel terrible if I didn't try. Cut your hair, chin-length or maybe even shoulder length could be alright, but not what you have now. If you dye, ask the professional what they think would look good on you. Don't get a beard until you're older, except maybe a goatee. Lose the one-lens sunglasses. That shirt you're wearing in the picture looks like it goes down a ways below your waist, don't do that unless it's just a little with a buttoned shirt. I'm not sure what else can really be done. Be confident, but not self-righteous.
  9. I suppose I can understand Norwegians wearing shirts with an environmental activist on them... But since you're not a goth, you probably shouldn't dress like one.
  10. Forget everything I said. Pterodactyl. Do it.
  11. Not gonna cut or alter the texture of my hair, long smooth hair is part of my identity. Also I am in the process of growing a beard. What I'm lacking is not memorable traits, it's memorable features. I don't need help to make girls like me, I need help to make them talk to me. After all, if these were standing alone, who would you talk to? -An average guy with long hair. -A long-haired guy who acts like an idiot. -A guy with long, dyed hair. The guy who isn't a manic Norwegian Though, seeing as you live in Norway... I'd have to go with option #2. I'll admit I'm biased against dyeing, since my naturally nice hair is the one static point in my fluctuating overblown ego, but it isn't usually a good idea. If you do decide on option #3, before you do anything else, post the colour of the dye (as in, a picture of the bottle itself), an example of the colour you want your hair to be, and every step you intend to take before and after you put in the dye. There are simple ways, but you shouldn't trust yourself to find them, as a dye job is a process easy to botch catastrophically, especially for someone with long hair. Whatever your choice, I suggest you belay the beard. Unless you want to do something really complicated and at least slightly comedic involving dyeing your facial hair too, which you really shouldn't for your first time, a blonde/brown beard is just not something that should go with dyed hair. At least, I've never seen it, and I can't see it working in the least.
  12. I came here to post some nonsensical drivel, but then Grim.
  13. Wibbley-wobbley/10
  14. I think the rod should be held in reserve for my next character, as compensation for Grim or Hex inevitably murdering me. :P

  16. Well, you know what they say, America is a land of Opportunity =P Can you even take Attacks of Opportunity with an improvised weapon?
  17. Siblings might not hit that hard, but younger cousins do. Very, very hard. With metal lawn chairs. And rakes.
  18. KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN! TNPW list one thing that makes their life awesome, and another thing so bothersome it negates the first.
  19. Nice throwing arm. Did you aim with satellite imaging?
  20. Physics? How have you not taken Physics yet? Does your school only have it at higher levels? Your schedule looks seriously messed up, do you even have an SS class on there? You should ask someone about it, I had to go through roughly a dozen schedule changes last year myself because I left it until school started.

Someone needs to give me my last two aspects... I think I presented a good base to build on during the session. :D

Youstolemyidea I've got to go shopping/lunching, I might be a tad late, hopefully not though. EDIT: If Icu needs ideas for my aspects, I'm always open to 'Bristling Emotive Mustache'.

So we've got a pair of sneaks, a British noble, and a vindictive Boer insurgent. Oh, and a medic. He'll be important.

Name: Gladstone A boisterous and eccentric English nobleman, in his early thirties. His early years consisted mostly of long days spent in various lessons with a private tutor, though he vastly preferred physical exertion and the more 'noble' pursuits of sparring, hunting, and riding. His enthusiasm and ineffable nature fueled several years of debauchery and earned him quite the reputation before he finally began to think about himself and the world. Unsuited as he was to such a task as deep thought, he instead decided to wander the wilds beyond the crown of civilization that is Britain until struck with some sort of epiphany. Since then, he has invested most of his household's loose money into funding archaeological digs and exploratory missions into Africa, with the sole purpose of tagging along on the adventure. With naught but his dueling cane (made as a sort of ornate shillelagh, acquired during a stay in Ireland from a drinking buddy) and trusty Lancaster Pistol, he goes forth to make a name for himself abroad, and finally find a reliable source of entertainment in life. Aspects: Gentleman Adventurer Regardless of circumstance, Gladstone sticks to traditional codes of honor, and is slow to grasp the complexities of foreign custom. Rather than letting this hold him back, he throws himself into all situations with equal cheer and gusto, which has put his life in danger at least as often as it has succeeded in endearing him to the locals. Padded Combatant Gladstone is a theoretical expert in the pistol, sword, and other weapons of the gentry, though unused to the rigors of real combat. Pain is a new concept to him, and he'll feel every blow an enemy lands fully and then some. Inventory: Dueling Cane .455 Lancaster Pistol Skills: Ars Magnetica: 3.0 Luck: 11.0 Marksman (Pistol): 5.2 Dodge: 5.5 Stick Fighting: 3.8 Charm: 3.0 Riding: 3.0 Swimming: 2.0 Climbing: 2.0 Diplomacy: 2.2 Fencing: 2.0 Navigation: 1.0 Literacy: 1.0 Carousing: 1.0 Leadership: 1.0 Fisticuffs: 1.0 Powers: Caster Ironburn Steelburn

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I dig giant robots. The Giant F***ing Mech genre is one that hasn't seen a good entry in a while. There was Armored Core V, but I never saw it as a game I could just pick up and play. The graphics were substandard, the gameplay had a difficulty brought on by unintuitive controls rather than design, and I don't think it really had the 'heart' of the genre pinned down. Mech Warrior: Vengeance was a solid title, as far as I can recall, but twelve years can do a number on even the best of games. The new Mech Warrior Online allegedly comes out later this year, but it faced delays in the past and may well again. Then comes Hawken. The release date is set for the 12th of this December, it's free to play, and... Well, just take a look at the video. It's gorgeous. I've heard the gameplay previews have gone pretty smoothly as well. Altogether, it looks like this might be a new spark for the Mech genre, and I for one can't way to try it out.
