  1. Jagex has previously said that while this quest was supposed to wrap up Lucien, it would also expand on a storyline barely touched upon until now. [spoiler=Spoiler] Namely, the dragonkin storyline. I definitely agree that this quest spent a disproportionate amount of time in Kethsi, but there's a lot not wrapped up so there will be a sequel to this eventually almost certainly. If you recall, Robert the Strong was a legendary warrior who supposedly fought the Dragonkin in a different age, and Bob the cat is his reincarnation. During ROTM, we find out that he knew he was going to be reincarnated, learn that the Dragonkin guard the Stone of Jas in such a way that using the Stone causes the Dragonkin's power and rage to go up, which leads them to destroy lots of things. Because of the notes that you find in Kethsi, it seems very likely Robert the Strong will return in human form in a subsequent quest and help the player defeat the dragonkin. I can't wait for the next quest.
  2. Is your thesis that after a certain point, each defence bonus from equips starts to matter less and less? If so, this is easily deducible from the formulas: the tipping point is when defence roll exceeds attack roll. If both target and caster have the same mage level, this should be exactly when mage attack of attack =mage defence of victim. Similarly, once attack roll exceeds defence roll, each additional attack bonus will matter less and less. Also your sample size is too small. To show a general trend via experiment, I would say probably 200 hits is a decent sample size, but to try and get actual accuracy numbers you would really need at least 1000, probably more. However in this case all of this is already answered by the attack roll, defence roll, and accuracy formulas. Also I don't see how any of this makes the mage defence of sag body useless. EDIT: The thing I'm not sure of is where in the process the spell modifier is located. Since apparently different spells have slightly different accuracies, what spell could affect the tipping point slightly (or it might not if the modifier is at the end). Was tired when I wrote this post, forgot about this.
  3. Do you not use a familiar? I generally fill giant and large, then small, med, and lurker, then rebank. It's also slightly easier to fill small and med this way, as you can close bank and left click them. I usually fill bank with poh books.
  4. Alright, Thanks. I wasn't sure that the food drops would be enough to keep 0 deaths. Surviving isn't hard, but surviving efficiently is something that takes practice. If you are doing a gd, you can loot food without losing any time by going to loot pile in between attacks: hit with weapon, run to a close-by drop pile and loot 1 food, hit again. You should try do to this while also flashing turmoil or piety (easier to do with slow wep like 2h). Also really easy to do while maging something since you dont need to be next to monster. You can also save a lot of food with techniques like luring and safespotting. If you are unlucky with finding altars or have really hard rooms you may still die, but it's possible to go fast and also survive without fishing/cooking. As far as the original question, I mostly agree with notasoupbowl's list. Note that sometimes if you have necrolord boss it may be useful to have deathslingers, which require 82/92 and it also helps to have 80/90 wc. However, this isn't super important, and if you fill your occs with flesh and tf, doesn't come up that often. 90/99 slayer is for killing edimmu/soulgazers, but those and their drops are quite rare even with the required levels. Also note that having overloads (meaning whatever level you have the patience to stew to make overloads with) helps out quite a bit the first 5 minutes of any dg. Also, gorg ragers aren't THAT much worse than prom, 80 mining is a much bigger priority than 90 when it comes to leveling for dg. One last point: the ideal situation is everyone on the team maxed, or at the very least everyone with close to the same skills. In that case, you won't need call in someone else to do a skill door you found, thus saving time running or moving gt.
  5. This isn't a use. If the person just carries it with them, that person is also the ggs, except that it's easier to drop it to give to someone than to ht to loot if off table.
  6. This is why I like American-style crosswords, with every letter checked :|
  7. [spoiler=How I solved it]I don't really like cryptograms that much, so I just asked google for help: http://www.google.co...yptogram+solver (I used the first result).
  8. I find the timing for teleing to be a bit after he first says "Here it comes," about when the text is disappearing but that may just be me or whatever. If I click right when I see the text, I find that I still get hit. Also of course you can only do this if you are free gate. Nice sig pic Pfohlol.
  9. Did you turn Game to all instead of filter and verify that it was varrock armor affect and not the fact that you can sometimes get 2 ores randomly whenever you mine conc gold? With varrock armor you can mine 3 at once sometimes.
  10. I feel like (but don't have hard numbers to show, maybe I'll test next task) that if you bring urns for the infernal/accursed ashes, and count the prayer xp as worth whatever gp/xp prayer is (currently at about 14 gp/xp for dragon bones on altar, more for frosts and ashes, and you might even add a little more since you are barely spending extra time getting prayer xp this way), you do profit. Since you are 70 prayer, supposing you'd eventually go for 95, this may be worth considering.
  11. You always get xp for the lower floor. Fill 47 with 36? XP for 36. Fill 36 with 47? XP for 36.
  12. Can someone clarify why Hex is noted as only pairing with 2h and not battleaxe?
  13. I used to write thing down on a post it, then after that I typed them in sk's notepad. After a while I just got used to remembering which doors are where and who's gated what. But also on a decent team, the team should also remember doors. It's usually okay if I forget someone's gate because then they'll just "zomg wtf noob give me the damn sr key." Before you change your binds you should at least understand why rapier/baxe isn't a good pairing and 2h/rapier isn't a bad pairing. With rapier/2h pairing, you rapier low defence things and stab weak things, but with baxe, there's much less benefit if any to rapiering low defence monsters since baxe is already pretty fast, so you would really only rapier stab weak things, of which there aren't enough to be worth it. (I think, anyway, someone more knowledgeable can correct me if I'm wrong.) And I thought hunts were supposed to be 5:5 c6 small.
  14. that is not entirely true tbh there are the og'log pools, the temple at sinestin boost and the boost that you can get from the seers diary however that may be not quite what you are talking about but for summoning there is nothing yeah. ~~~legoman187~~~ But those give you extra prayer points, not extra prayer levels, you can't use higher level prayers with those. It's sort of like the difference between Constitution and HP: you have both some current number of points, and a level.
  15. Oher than practice, ask a ranked keyer or wingman to come with you and give you tips. Also read Tui's guide on Grimy's forums about map reading.
  16. I just make moves until any move increases the number of wrong things, then force; it's almost certainly faster than doing a perfect solve, it's probably about the same number of total flips but no thinking necessary.
  17. Starting to get not too bad at this whole keying thing: Notice the 3boer (prim plate) calling me amazing.
  18. Or if you are in combat or maybe just storing one item, use the item on the BoB.
  19. Thing is, a lot of people would be perfectly content to have a hex but be permbanned from dgs. So for some people the thought of not being able to use dgs isn't enough of a deterrent.
  20. it just sounds like he hasn't found a hood yet. oh wait he has 3 binds, nevermind. yeah he'd probably want to consider otherwise if he's just fresh to lvl 100 dg. I'm only 89 mage, so staff bind isn't useful now (working on getting mage up though). And I key most of my floors, I was told that rapier is pretty useless for keyers. I have 94 attack, 90 defence, and prom 2h, so gauntlets wouldn't be as useful. Of course I'd bind a hex or blood neck if I ever got the chance, but it might be a while as I'm only 88 slayer. What do you recommend then over plate?
  21. Got 100 dung, thanks DGS! Kata chain bound atm :P Gonna get prom plate tomorrow.
