2 Very different concepts actually. He may be a "newby" as you put it, but he is still a member of the Tavern, therefore you shouldn't just blow off something he feels should be changed. He is entitled to an opinion after all. If you don't agree with him, just debate the subject instead of outright telling him he has no place to "demand" such things.

I only play in an RP that catches my fancy. So far, well, either the playstyle gets changed to something that just is below par *cough* Dungeoneering *cough* or I dont' have much interest in the game. Anything hegemony styled for example, it's an automatic no for me. My particular interest is something along the lines of Lei's Dream Ender. I rarely branch away to the more "gamey" feeling games.

I remember when I first started out in this game. This music always meant one of two things depending on your party's level. Either RUN AWAY!!!!! Or prepare for the fight of your life. (flipping Zodiac, Y U no let me win with my lvl 82 party?)

Well, if your friend is on your case for the exact same reason, then I'd re-evaluate whatever it is you're doing and change up a bit. If not, then ignore it. Unless it is actually something to bother changing.
