The Back Room
Ok, here's how it would go down. Godzilla would surface from the depths and give us a facepalm. This would result in the world imploding in upon itself. Therefore, we'd all lose. >=O

What genre of music do you like?
That is actually very debatable. But as this doesn't seem like the thread to start such a debate in, I shall not say anything further. I forgot a few others EBM and the sort Hardstyle Orchestrated pieces that I occasionally come across. And that's about it for my tastes in addition to my previous post.

Welcome back. Glad to know that whatever it was, it's getting better. :) (I hope) EDIT: Well then, good to know it's better for sure. xD

Help & Introductions
Indeed it is if you enjoy RPing or playing text based strategy games. Or perhaps a mixture of both? :3

The Back Room
@Nex I'm going to have to go with the first of the 3 dancers. His style and energy is a lot more impressive than the other 2. The 3rd had some style, but lacked the proper energy flow. The girlll.....well, she just wasn't that good to begin with. :D

What genre of music do you like?
My musical tastes are a bit shallow, but still a wide range of sound altogether. I enjoy: Symphonic Metal Goth Rock/Metal Industrial Industrial Metal Emilie Autumn (<3)

The Back Room
I've actually seen people play out their ass in Super Street Figher IV and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition and they can win. Mainly because, it's so hard to predict the people who don't have a set playstyle. It's annoying, but I guess not having a strategy is a strategy. :o

Ninja Gaiden
New updates from E3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfByIt0yFTM&feature=player_embedded Here is a Q & A with one of the devs at Team Ninja Q = Questions from concern fans, A = Answers from Yousuke Hayashi. Q: Would you like to give us a little background information as to where this game fits in the series? A: Ninja Gaiden 3 is taking a stab at showing Ryu Hayabusa as a Japanese dark hero, a dark hero that only Team Ninja could make. Q: Is this entry going to pick up directly after the previous installment left off? A: It's connected in a way that deals with Hayabusa dealing with the many people he's killed in the past -- he's a killing machine and in Ninja Gaiden 3, he'll face the consequences that come with doing that. Q: Ninja Gaiden has always been known for its legendary difficulty. Obviously you're going to continue this trend, but will you offer easier modes for those who may feel intimidated? A: Hardcore fans wear the difficulty as a badge of pride, so we're looking for Ninja Gaiden 3 to satisfy hardcore fans with a challenge, but we're also looking to make the game accessible to more people; people who have never been part of the series. It seems there are many groups of people with different skills. We're looking at making the game respond to the different kinds of skills players bring to the game and to craft challenges that will fit everyone. Q: Will fans see the return of any familiar characters, aside from Ryu Hayabusa? A: Of course, Ryu Hayabusa will return as the main character, but the story also deals with his past, as he's killed so many people, so fans will definitely see familiar faces. Q: Are you looking to wrap up the series with the third game or are you looking to expand beyond that? A: Team Ninja is linked with Ninja Gaiden - they're inseparable. We are who we are because of those games. Looking ahead though, we can't say one way or another. The team right now is focused on making the game the best it can be. Q: Will you be incorporating Kinect support? A: Looking at the kinds of actions you would perform in Ninja Gaiden 3, the kinds of controls and play style we have, we don't feel the Kinect works well with that. It doesn't make the game fun. We have to concentrate on making the game fun, and if new technology makes the game fun, then we're all for that. The core has to be the game. Q: Can you give us a little information about the way mowing through enemies will feel with the improved gameplay mechanics? Is that mainly a graphical augment? A: The steel and bone segments are a concept for making the combat and killing someone more visceral. In the past, when you cut enemies, there was no reaction. We're trying to improve the combat in Ninja Gaiden 3. We wondered what it was really like to cut someone down, when the blade is in muscles and bones, and when you can feel it get stuck in your opponent's body. That kind of visceral violence is what we were trying to portray. Q: Can you go a little in-depth with the co-op segments? Would lesser-skilled players be able to play off of more expert players in order to reach a common goal? A: Co-op is definitely something you can use to learn from another person and we will definitely be offering new challenges for the online space. We hope that people will keep coming back and playing online as well, it's definitely a place where you can hone your skills. Q: What kind of multiplayer modes will be available aside from cooperative campaign mode? A: In terms of multiplayer, we can't reveal much right now. We're looking at it, but we're more focused on looking at honing single player, as that's what fans know and love. We're exploring multiplayer options, but we want to make sure they're not there just to have multiplayer. We want to make sure we primarily satisfy the Ninja Gaiden fans. Thank you so much for your time - we can't wait to check out the game! Some screenshots. And finally, demo gameplay from the Ninja Gaiden 3 E3 Demo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4nODicMQRM&feature=player_embedded

Roll to Dodge: The Tavern
Ieyfura jumps backwards slightly in case of a retaliation from the horror, then steps back in with an aimed swing at the monster's skull.
-
Roll to Dodge: The Tavern
(music player isn't a weapon, and is a very possible item to have in one's pocket at any given moment) Ieyfura looks up in complete boredom at the zombie attack and sighs. Of course, no one has any practical weapons. Grabbing her crowbar she goes over to start knocking some rotten heads around.
-
Roll to Dodge: The Tavern
Watching as everyone around her is causing havoc, Ieyfura plugs in her headphones and listens to some music, mentally counting the hours until the current set of batteries dies.
-
Roll to Dodge: The Tavern
I put my crowbar over my shoulders and go outside to see if there is anything entertaining to do.
-
Roll to Dodge: The Tavern
Ieyfura Industrial Dance: +1 to agility/flexibilty, w/e the stat is for that sorta thing. Cocky Attitude: -1 in knowing when to run away and when to fight. Weapon: Crowbar

The Back Room
Prejudice is alive and well in the modern world... Had to take photos on a children's fun day: "Excuse me, are you are paedophile, or do you just like taking pictures of little kids?" Fortunately I am fairly diplomatical and didn't point out: Those two are one in the same (the fomer and latter, not the latter and the former). If I was a woman we wouldn't be having this conversation, despite woman being up to 20% more likely to be Paedophiles(according to some data) Your complete lack of tact or subtly The fact that you are Scouts, and all you have done is build an umbrella fortress against the rain, and huddled all the children close to you. But I digress. The amount of awesomesauce emanating from this post is just win.

Because, partial nudity is the end of the world, OMG!!!!!!!!! *rolls eyes* It's fictional work. I really don't see why it should bother you. -.- (But, if this story has it all over the place, then yeah, I can understand)

Does going mainstream mean you are destined to be hated?
I just find it hilarious that he thinks his tastes are better than everyone elses. I mean, really? Everyone has their own tastes. Do I feel the musik I like is the best in the world? Yes, I do. But at the same time, I realize that other people have their own tastes, so to them, my musik is NOT the best. It's all a matter of what your ears prefer. Another thing I'd like to point out. For both sides. There are probably songs that you probably would like from either end of this argument. Maybe not something that's been linked, but something out there by those artists may or may not still catch your eye. There is a beauty in simplistic musik just as there is in complex musik. I liked some of the sound iamsomebody posted, and I liked some that Omar posted. But my own tastes still reign supreme IN MY OWN senses. I don't know if anything I said made any sense. But whatever. lol

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
People who don't understand a single thing about a sub culture, yet see themselves fit to make a judgement call on it anyway.

The Back Room
Well, I'm willing to put the money in for a more expensive model if needed. I'm just curious if any cheap ones are as good/almost as good as the more expensive models. Hmm. I'll have to do some research it seems. :)
