  1. Lootshare has strange effects on things - like for slayer tasks, every two kills counts as one kill off your list and the black mask won't work It won't let you get a casket from a coordinate clue either - it just keeps spawning Zammy/Sara mages You get half the slayer XP for dealing the killing blow on the monster and half the slayer XP for doing more than half the damage... so the familiar's probably stealing half of it from you (bug)
  2. Your equipment is crucial at Kree... I tried solo'ing once (99 range) with sub-par equipment I could replace if I died. I barely got one kill I came back with my optimum gear (arma, ranger boots, verac helm, etc) and got like 4 kills
  3. You log in in lumby on normal spells
  4. Was your lootshare turned on?
  5. I don't think it's really about people's respect for me - considering a lot of people actually despise me because they judge me alone on my ban. When I decided to make this thread, it was more than just a question... Going off-topic, a little... my major life goal's to make a major change in the world or to make ignorant people reconsider things and become better people. I thought that making this topic would be good practice to try and change some of the people on this forum. I think I succeeded too, for the most part. I know a lot about human psychology and it's easy for me to put myself in other people's shoes. So it's been very easy to understand everybody's opinions in their posts and to make them question themselves or realize that they may need to re-think certain opinions they have on things. I tried to be as clear and easy-to-understand as possible in the original post as well by providing the examples of time and money. I didn't want this to become a debate, because the truth is there's nothing wrong with spending your money on skills. People tend to be more open to things like this if you make them ask themselves if it's wrong to spend money, rather than flat out tell them then provide evidence for them to try to argue with. I'll probably be making more topics like these if I can think of any.
  6. Not really, it's more like scrutinizing how much of your precious free time you can save by using the most efficient methods :P I value FUN over EFFICIENCY, though. Though usually the more efficient something is, the more fun it is. Watching my XP skyrocket is enjoyable. For things like slayer, though, there are many ways to be extremely efficient however I think it's stressful to be obsessed with too many details for efficiency so for skills like that I just relax and it doesn't bother me that I could be doing things faster. Examples of inefficient things I do during slayer: Not worrying about timing attacks so I don't miss an attack while potting Picking up coin drops or alching average-value drops Checking my slayer gem pretty often Talking to friends Not using Lunar for slayer/taking breaks in between tasks
  7. Exactly Yeahaha - we'd both have about that much XP by now
  8. Yes the game's more fun when you're rich - go to God Wars and get lucky if you want to get 100M+ :P I hope you realize there's nothing wrong with getting rich quick from luck or spending your money on fast skills. I also hope you realize that there are a lot of people in RS who are just jerks like that who enjoy making people angry from the safety of their home. We can't do much about them, other than feel sorry for their rudeness. I haven't come across any people who are luckily-rich like that and were jerks about it, so from my experience it hasn't brought out the cockiness in people or anything. Though like I said, if you really want to be rich and have fun with 100M, go to God Wars. Sara is pretty consistent with its drops. I wish GW existed back when I had muggi. Otherwise I wouldn't have been tempted to abuse a bug and get banned to be able to afford having "fun." Don't make the same mistake I did.
  9. Alching is a lot faster nor is it hard. Everything with this Topic "Fails" : Old news, spelling, etc. honestly, alching fails. I know a way for a person with 27 mage can get more xp an hour and profit more than high alchemy, you buy everything, at lvl 59 the xp is about 301.5k xp an hour and 250k cash an hour. BUYING EVERYTHING, to mention this method would ruin it. If you know it, don't say it :]. Yes that's why your magic level is a whopping 81 :shame:
  10. Definitely life But the ring of wealth increases the chance of getting a "good" rare drop. Meaning, if the game roulette wheel lands on a rare drop (d med... left half... warrior ring... berserker ring), the wealth increases your chance of getting a berserker ring rather than one of the cheaper rare drops
  11. I think you and everyone else would be a lot happier/less bitter if you quit letting other people's luck/achievements bother you or get in the way of your own goals
  12. I'm not a regular visitor there anymore *shrug* Yes, but unlike cooking and fletching, range is a skill that most people get to 99 to use
  13. At least you're still getting fast XP and making money, as opposed to training mining to 99 [/Devil's advocate]
  14. The fixed fire cape is good... but I still want my old character back :wall:
  15. Yes but for something like this, the majority of this forum whines about it. My goal is to make them realize that there's nothing wrong with buying skills.
  16. They should just make a top 100k "high scores" list like they have and then make a "stat look-up" list which only lists their XP and lvls
  17. You should write a guide on that spot ... I dismissed it since it was too much of a hassle for me to lure them so that I could hit 9 at a time
  18. Yeah my old caves guide was posted on Runescape Community... but then when I tried to post the new guide (guide to the whole caves w/o guthans) they wouldn't allow it because they already had a caves guide (and it was mine..) So I said to hell w/ them and posted on tipit lol But yea back then only RSC people knew of me, and now it's mostly just tipit people Wonder what'd happen if I posted all the vid guides on youtube >_>
  19. Yeah, a TON of people PM me about doing fire capes for them... IT'S NOT THAT HARD PEOPLE Exactly If you have a lot of money to start out with, look into buying massive amounts of grimy kwuarm/ranarr/snapdragon then cleaning them and selling for profit. It's only efficient if you can afford enough herbs to clean for like an hour at a time
  20. RS has never been a matter of skill though - the fight caves is the only part of RS which tests your personal skill to do something. Even then, it's a pretty simple test to pass.
  21. I went from 1-13M range XP from chinning. Then I went from 13-19M range XP from using range in all of my RS hobbies. I didn't get 99 range because I wanted my cape back - I got it because I needed it for all of my hobbies. If anybody thinks less of me for using my time wisely then that's their problem :P
  22. That's why I learned not to take achievement capes very seriously anymore :P If you look up someone's XP in their 99 skill you can usually figure out their motive for that 99. If they have 13,035,000 XP or something barely over the 99 quota, then you can assume that they either got 99 in the skill yesterday, or they got 99 in the skill cuz they just want the cape But like I said, I really don't care much about people's capes or 99s lol
  23. If you have money to begin with, it's very easy to merchant and make over 10M a day by logging on for 1 minute at the GE
  24. Yeah but you didn't earn anything from getting 99 woodcutting or 99 fishing either unless you did the slow way of sharks/magics. Either way, hunter is still significantly faster than those two and you'll still make a considerable profit as well. I cut yews for woodcutting and fished monkfish for fishing. I made a good chunk of cash. So it'll be the same for hunter then, pretty much except more XP/hour
