And here I am a skiller with a ten mil cash pile and 20+ mil in items and merchants are making more then that in an hour rofl, I guess money was never an issue for me. Just enough to solve your problems anything more is pointless. Too bad that soon the armor I need wil cost 50 mil so can anyone tell me how to make a good profit with only 5mil budget (The most I'm willing to risk). I have already tried flipping with bulk items and made around 600k but I'm not doing much compared to you guys. So anyone want to tell me what I can invest in that could be profitable with just 5mil :?:

RS may not be dying but it is stagnating in terms of growth. A period of stagnation is usually followed by a period of decay. The fact that the total amount of players is not growing at any mentionable rate shows that the game is stagnating. Sure stagnation is not dying but stagnation is many time followed by decay. It will become apparent in the next year or two whether or not RS will stay strong or slowly die away. (A rebound is more likely though :thumbsup:) Sure you might see plenty of people in RS but compare it to some other games and there is a noticeable difference, sure its more popular then others but the pop. growth in RS is not gaining much ground. My 2 cents. :^_^:

I always like the old GE better then free trade, it got rid of scamming, and misconceptions about prices. The fact that they reinstated free trade shows how little Jagex knows about the community. Sure, you and most of the people on this site might like this new system but what about your lower level players in both F2P and P2P who dont know any better. And If you bring up that damned fixed poll Idk what Ill do but it will be bad!!! The old GE is more friendly to newer and more average players which makes up the majority of people. The fact is that rich high levels dont need the system to be friendly. The lvl 49 who just lost his full adamant to a scam does. Power to the old wildy hell yeah.

Ok so when i took another huge break I had recently bought a whip, ss and full guthans once I hit 70 att (I know Im a noob). So I had 3 full Barrows sets a SS (worth around 8 mil at the time) and a whip to make up the majority of my wealth in items. So I took my huge break and come back to find that ALL of my barrows sets have dropped considerably and my ss is halved in value, which gave me a nice little net loss of around 6-7 mil. Now I dont really care about money but I remember how people would say "Nice SS" or "Wow 3 barrows sets" (from people even more nooby them me of course). Now Im just wondering, is this a full market crash or is it just my items and what is your opinion on the subject of economical recovery or a further recession in the runescape economy. As I said I havnt been involved in the community recently so IDK if there is a post identical to this one, If there is then tell me. No trolling please, against anyone, Im just looking for an honest discussion over this so I can be informed of the situation. And yes I do know about the recent reforms to the GE and wildy. Additionally I can also see the connection between free trade and price drops, Im simply wondering if this is a full market crash or just in some specific markets, and if a recovery is expected. Now that my main question is answered lets turn this into a general discussion about the new economy, the effects it will have and predictions for how prices will develop.

If I see a guy wearing full d plate or bandos or something of that nature go down, im looting cause they can obviously afford it if they can risk it, unlike my lower middle class noob self.

you do realize that melee beats range, range beats mage and mage beats melee :wall: though I do agree with your point about the combat triangle not being needed unless you mean the > symbols as an arrow, then I'm the idiot.

I would semi agree, A melee fighter can use protect from magic, while a mage can use protect from melee, BUT a melee fighter can also pack a good ranger set in his/her inventory, while a mage would not have enough food if he filled his iny with full melee gear and runes and food. (edit) oh yeah thats right there is something called a beast of burden these days #-o salamanders ftw.....

There is also prayer pures, should that be considered a combat style. Good point about PvP combat and non PvP combat, I completely agree. And lol If summoning is now a full fledged Combat style then what is it now the combat square :huh:

Never once in your original post did you say it had to be BETTER than another specific type of style to be CONSIDERED a style. the name of the post is combat triangle discussion :mellow:

the whole point of a combat triangle is a rock - paper - scissors kind of thing (lack of better words). Sure maybe summoning has certain familiars that are better against rangers and magers etc. It still does not effect one of the styles more then the others as a whole. So no it doesn't count as a combat skill in my opinion.

Which of the three combat styles do you believe to be the Best, most fun, most rewarding, most awesome. Personally I hate range and love the other two styles. I think range is slower at low levels then the other two and is overpriced. This has probably been discussed a million times but I dont see an active thread about this topic so im going to reopen it for discussion. Please refrain from flaming, I realize that some people might offend others, but this is a purely opinion discussion so dont get so flared up if someone thinks that mage is boring and that melee is the [cabbage]. Summoning doesn't count as a combat style no flaming Begin... :twisted:

cut opals, make arrowheads, sell arrowheads, you will lose some money, Im not the best at crafting so excuse me if I am completely wrong but you should check out my idea. This is similar to what I did to get 70 crafting so It might work. -Also you can kill cows, treat the leather and make leather bodies, you dont lose any money but it takes some time. I dont do crafting all to often so I could be mistaken.

Yes but to the people that do buy 99's they usually do make craploads of money, or they are foolish enough to spend their entire bank one grinding a skill. The thing is that production skills can be done in a bank in a matter of a couple weeks. Other skills require focus and time. In the end if you have a production skill cape then Its a 99% chance that you bought the large majority of the experience, while in other skills you gather the materials, which takes more time and dedication. Also herblore and prayer are only respected because they are rare (comparatively) and cost much more then the other skills. I dont give respect for those two capes but I can see why others would.

With the growing number of people hitting the 90's in raw skills such as WC, Mining and Fishing will Jagex add new materials to the game? What do you think about the matter. Mention any materials that you think would be cool to see in the game, and if you think that it is possible that Jagex will add materials to the game. Personally - I believe that it is only a matter of time before they add more raw materials, I would love to see raw and cooked seahorses and maybe daemon trees (at level 90 or something) -With the volume of posts on this website it is certainly possible that someone else has brought up the exact same topic. Keep in mind that I am brand new to these forums. Because if your 25 you should have better things to worry about then going Ape**** when someone is wrong on the internet, If your 25 then you should be worrying about the rent not if someone spelled a word(s) wrong. Not to mention that it is a MMORPG (Massive multiplayer online ROLE PLAYING GAME) so if I want my character to sound like an idiot that's fine. What about the Hellhound and Black Demon resource dungeon for slayer? Black Demons are basically AFK-able (not in the illegal sense) and fast as hell with a Steel Titan. Also, Hellhounds are now in multi-combat where you can use a familiar and cannon them as well. The lower-level Resource Dungeons are pretty good too for nubs.
