I can't wait for this update, the icons will be extremely useful especially for dungeoneering, and the the ability to see your hits from the crowd has been suggested for years now. This new look does however give the game more of a cartoony feel, but i'll get used to it just like I have with every other update so I won't complain. I agree, I would hate this...What the hell would be the point of this anyway? I mean everyone knows when you eat a shark it heals 200 lp...

Ok so i', in the market for a new monitor, I have 3 in mind. SAMSUNG P2770H 27" ASUS VE276Q Black 27" LG W2753V-PF Black 27" I will primarily be using for computer and Xbox 360, occasionally movies. Which one should I get?

I see you're close to getting your weapon there as well :thumbup: Really don't have to own one myself to be honest. I go against them alot, I beat out a rapier at kbd consistently using my ZS, both of us using overloads, turmoil, and bandos. I have experience with them even though I don't own them. The problem with this discussion is whoever gets what is so defensive about that choice because they spent so long getting it, they would hate to have it be a waste.

Crashing is fun and more efficient. I agree that since I am superior I will crash you, for it's your own fault. Just my point of view, and to everyone else, you guys will understand where we "crashers" come from once you get to this same point. Crashing is a way to put your work and energy into something useful and worthwhile.

CLS has an epic stab bonus, watch this guy use CLS for his iron dragons task. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yud7cGvYngo CLS has the highest stab bonus of any non pvp weapon in the game, +107. Its 10% more but 25% slower. And we already know that the guy in that video isn't all that smart or knowledgeable. He's using both bandos boots and DFS when he is praying melee and using super antifires. I second this, and aside from his [developmentally delayed]ed equipment, he's very slow. He takes his sweet time picking up drops and attacking his dragons. Not exactly a prime example of a master slayer. He'd be better off using the CLS on slash, too. I've powerslayed with CLS. At most it was 10% faster on kills than whip. I thought I was going nuts at first so I brought both CLS and whip on tasks at abby demons, dark beasts, among a few others. Dragons cls won out big time. Everything else the difference is barely noticeable. I was one of the first to get a CLS and one of the biggest advocates for CLS when dungeoneering first came out. I'm 100% convinced now that rapier > cls in probably everywhere except bandos and sara gwd. Now if only I can refund my chaotic kite and long for a rapier and maul or rapier and staff, that'd make me happy :( Stop with the "CLS is better than Cr only in bandos and sara" statement, I'm quite sure CLS will beat the CR in most bosses currently and the future bosses will only have higher defense giving the CLS the edge. Also to every ones "mathematical formula's and simulations"....none of them work because you don't factor in defense of monster and accuracy, of course CR will win with opponents having 0 defense that's simple logic, but what monster worth killing has 0 defense.

If rapier > whip, and whip is pretty accurate with semi-decent stats . . . :wall: Yeah and whip isn't the best thing for various bosses.

The ONLY reason to buy a CLS is if you are basing your purchase 100% on looks, if you care even 1% about efficiency (which in my experience every rs player does, they just hate admitting that they're way of doing things is inefficient because they're also too full of pride to ever admit they're wrong.) then you should get a CR. Could be true but it's all just rumor now. Still gives some of an idea I guess though, but still not totally conclusive.

beautiful. when people do research on efficiency, they generally spend like an hour to save 20 minutes for themselves. but most RS gamers are too selfish to realize that this also saves 20 minutes for everybody else that is into efficiency. the researcher effectively spent 40 minutes of his time for the greater good. then he goes on forums and posts his research and he gets crap from idiots who talk about "playing for fun" and "aesthetics" or what not. with absolutely no regard that the researcher was just trying to help. caring about how a CLS looks is just shallow and selfish. If the world researched more about efficiency, it would be a kinder more charitable place. Don't forget that utility - the ultimate point of increasing efficiency - is completely up to personal preference. :grin: Don't get me wrong - I agree with you. But we can't speak for everyone OT: In the long run (scale of 2-3 years), CLS may be better than the maul because of the dragon defender, and potentially better shields. All shields have less stab defense than slash. :) And your point is.....? He's talking about new shields released that have abilities that would make them worthwhile to use along with a cls, compared just to a maul.
